10:06 a.m. – Caller reported that a male stole items and took off running toward Highway 228, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Items recovered prior to officer arrival. Items valued at $22.06.
12:24 p.m. – Christopher Michael Jensen, 33, arrested for harassment, 5300 block of Main. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male punching him in the face and trying to pull him out of his vehicle’s window.
1:53 p.m. – Melony Irene Shockman, 42, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Umatilla County. Cited and released.
1:53 p.m. – Caller reported that as he was driving west on Main Street, a female was hanging out of a another vehicle and flipping him off, then she acted as if she was going to pull out in front of him, causing him to slam on his brakes, which hurt his pregnant fiance’s stomach, 1900 block of Main. Officer contacted the other driver and counseled her for her actions.

12:47 a.m. – Caller reported a large group of people throwing glass at a building, 1000 block of Long. Officer contacted and counseled a male for his actions.
3:49 a.m. – Shawn Eric Aman, 45, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and driving under the influence and cited for speeding, 45 mph in a 25-mph zone; failure to maintain lane; failure to yield to an emergency vehicle; and refusal to submit to a breath test, Highway 20 at Sun Lane. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded.
4:25 a.m. – Steven Dale Bergevin, 28, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence, 2405 Main St., Circle K.
8:09 a.m. – Caller reported five or six sacks of pop cans at location, 621 Main St., Buzz’d Coffee. Placed in found property.
10:19 a.m. – Jesse Jacob Whitebird, 20, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charges of driving while suspended and probation violation, 1400 block of Long.
10:37 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of water bottle packages, 1100 block of 18th. Report taken. Loss valued at $8.97.
12:35 p.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 34, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 900 block of 14th. Transported to Linn County Jail.
5:30 p.m. – Caller reported that her package was placed in a lock box, and the key was put in the wrong mailbox. Packages are now missing. Report taken for mail theft. Loss valued at $17.
9:26 p.m. – Caller reported that someone hit his vehicle while he was gone, 1200 block of Tamarack. Report taken.
10:12 p.m. – Caller reported that neighbors are building and hammering all night long, 1200 block of 44th. She has asked them to stop, but they continue to be loud. Officer advised the subjects of the complaint and hours for construction. They were done for the night.
11:07 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Officer assisted in information exchange.
11:09 p.m. – Joseph Eugene McKenna, 62, arrested for hit and run, property, and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle, 1916 19th Ave. Cited and released.

10:50 a.m. – Caller reported a male yelling at his dog, 1300 block of Quince. Caller was concerned because she has witnessed the male hitting the dog before. Officer unable to locate.
2:14 p.m. – Officer located a vehicle in violation of city code, 900 block of 12th. Posted for removal.
2:15 p.m. – Caller reported neighbors running a chainsaw nonstop, 1200 block of Evergreen. Officer responded. Nobody outside, and all was quiet.
2:17 p.m. – Caller reported a bike stolen, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.
2:50 p.m. – Jacob Mitchell Thurber, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.
3:53 p.m. – Caller reported a female stole a beer and left the store, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Store was able to recover the merchandise. Information noted.
9:52 p.m. – Caller reported a male going through a mailbox, 2000 block of main. Officer unable to locate. Officer checked mailbox and found one piece of junk mail inside.
11:39 p.m. – Caller reported a male going through a dumpster, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer contacted male and advised him of the complaint. Officer told him he should get permission beforehand.

12:18 a.m. – Shannon Lynn Johnson, 46, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.
12:33 a.m. – Andrew Benton Erickson, 46, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 15th and Main.
12:53 a.m. – Christopher Anthony Rynearson, 25, arrested for driving under the influence and cited for speeding, 70 mph in a 45-mph zone; failure to maintain lane and operating with restricted lighting, 6011 Main St. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded. Caller had reported a vehicle driving through the mill. The caller was able to get him out, but the driver seemed impaired.
8:12 a.m. – Caller brought in a lost dog, Ridgeway and Shadow. Dog returned to owner.
9:26 a.m. – Caller reported a crash in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Drivers exchanged information.
3:09 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor has been outside revving a motor for more than an hour, 4800 block of Main. Officer contacted a female who said she was moving vehicles but had finished.
6:08 p.m. – Wesley Alan House, 33, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and probation violation, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows.

9:56 a.m. – Caller reported that someone called claiming to be her grandson and telling her he had been arrested and needed $400 in gift cards to be released, 100 block of 21st. Information noted. No money was exchanged.
10 a.m. – Caller reported a male walked across the street outside of a crosswalk and made him stop his vehicle, 2300 block of Main. The male flipped the caller off and smiled. Officer contacted the male who denied any issues with the caller.
10:58 a.m. – Jesse Eugene Smith, 24, cited for failure to use seatbelt, 18th and Main.
12:19 p.m. – Van Jerome Potts, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespass, 2400 block of Main.
3:10 p.m. – Caller reported that a male and female were using the bottle return and putting in mason jars with UPC labels taped to them, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller advised they needed to finish returning cans and and then they were trespassed. The female then caused a scene in front of the store. Two females and a male were trespassed from the location.
3:53 p.m. – Caller reported a dog at large, 2900 block of Foothills. Officer unable to locate.
6:01 p.m. – Caller reported that her boyfriend punched her in the face, 12th and Spruce. Report taken.
6:43 p.m. – Jennifer Carmen Reynolds, 32, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 735 Seventh Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail. She had reported to police that her boyfriend was hitting her while she was asleep and then threatening to beat her.

7:55 a.m. – Caller reported a male throwing soda on a window and throwing rocks at customers, 1207 Long St. The subject left, but the caller wanted him trespassed. He was last seen in the 1600 block of Long. Officer unable to locate.
10:39 a.m. – Caller reported a male stealing drinks and leaving in a vehicle, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $20.
1 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Report taken. Loss valued at $2.50.
2:24 p.m. – Caller turned in a sweater found in the women’s rest-room at Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main st. Placed in found property.
6:20 p.m. – Motor vehicle collision, Main and Highway 228. No injuries. No citations. Report taken.
10:18 p.m. – Daniel Alexander Pope, 43, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of recklessly endangering another person, Wiley Creek Park.

3:25 a.m. – James Eugene Richards, 23, arrested on Benton County warrant for absconding from supervision on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and a new charge of fourth-degree assault, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Transported to Linn County Jail.
4:32 a.m. – Caller reported a suspicious male walking around his house all night, 3700 block of Green River. Officer located a male with significant injuries. The male was eventually transported to the hospital by medics.
6:41 a.m. – Caller reported that someone messed with her vehicles during the night, 2300 block of Long. Report taken.
9:26 a.m. – Caller turned in a wallet found in the Sankey Park gazebo. Placed in found property.
10:53 a.m. – Caller said that a backpack and suitcase were out for four days, 48700 block of Highway 20. Deputies seized the property, which contained blankets and assorted clothing. Report taken.
1:39 p.m. – James David Stedman, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, Independence. Cited and released.
3:38 p.m. – Caller reported a junked car up on blocks in a driveway, 1300 block of Quince. Referred to code enforcement.
4:37 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Report taken. Loss valued at $5.
6:01 p.m. – Heather E. Richards-Armendariz, 35, cited for driving uninsured, Main and 53rd.
8:37 p.m. – Caller reported that a male drove by him, called him derogatory names and threatened to kill him, 4800 block of Main. Officer responded. The caller refused to talk to the officer, saying he would only talk to his attorney. The officer contacted the other party, who denied any altercation with the caller and said he didn’t know the caller. Information noted.

5:30 p.m. – Caller reported her aunt has stolen many items, including light fixtures and a pound of marijuana, from her residence, 26800 block of Greenville Road. Report taken. Investigation continuing.
5:40 p.m. – Caller reported taking a counterfeit bill, 3239 Main St., Midway Market. Caller reported the license plate of the person who used it. Bill seized. Report taken.
7:31 p.m. – Gerlinde Spring Lynch, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon Burger King.
Nov. 17
11:33 p.m. – Caller said he found a saddle that he had reported stolen to Sweet Home Police Department, 40600 block Highway 228. He also had the locations of the two other saddles he had reported missing.
Nov. 16
4:16 p.m. – Caller said he was a victim of a scam. He received a check in the mail from people claiming to be the Publishers Clearing House. He was instructed to send $6,500 to cover expenses to claim the bigger prize of the check sent to him. When he tried to deposit the prize check, his bank called to tell him it was a fraud. He was able to stop the $6,000 payment he had sent out, so he was not out any money. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies said no legitimate prize will ever require the winner to send money to cover expenses, attorney fees, transfer fees or anything else of the sort.
3:01 p.m. – Caller said people are not caring for two young cows at their property, 700 block of Holly Lane. It was dark by the time deputies responded and they were unable to see the cows. The issue was forwarded to Animal Control to check on during the day.
