Oct. 19

3:41 a.m. – Daniel Charles Steiger, 30, arrested on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to appear and possession of meth, 1250 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:53 a.m. – Caller reported garbage piled up outside of a residence, 900 block of 27th. Referred to code enforcement.

9 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole a friend’s bicycle, 1600 block of Fir. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

9:32 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor blocking her gate, 4400 block of Live Oak. Referred to code enforcement.

9:40 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a vehicle over night, 400 block of Nandina. Report taken. Floor mats stolen, and someone tampered with the ignition.

10:01 a.m. – Julia Anne Payne, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

11:53 a.m. – Caller reported a mother on meth and no water at a house and would like someone to check on children, 1600 block of Tamarack. Officer responded. Welfare check complete.

12:15 p.m. – Caller turned in a firearm, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Property seized.

12:17 p.m. – Caller reported her child’s backpack and her cell phone stolen from her vehicle during the night, 100 block of Seventh. Report taken. Loss valued at $390.

Oct. 18

5:44 p.m. – Alora Linese Fulbright, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Klamath County. Cited and released.

7:17 p.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts, 27, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:19 p.m. – Oregon State Police arrested Lester Lee Hendrix, 40, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported the intentional overdose of alcohol, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer responded. Not a police officer hold candidate. Medics transported subject to the hospital.

10:15 p.m. – Three callers reported suspicious males in the area, 1300 block of Nandina. They were yelling, and one carried two guns, one believed to be an AR-15. Officer contacted a male who was carrying an unloaded assault rifle. No evidence of any crime, but the subject would take the weapon home. The subject denied the incident on Nandina Street. Officer counseled subject for his actions.

Oct. 17

9:55 a.m. – Caller reported his vehicle, license plate DJL 568, stolen, 3200 block of Main. Report taken.

10:23 a.m. – Three callers reported a female covered in bright green paint in the middle of the road, 3200 block of Main. Officer responded and located the female on the sidewalk. She apologized for being in the road.

12:15 p.m. – Oregon State Police reported a male was denied a weapon purchase, 1980 Main St. Officer responded. Investigation continuing.

12:42 p.m. – Caller reported that his front license plate was stolen from his vehicle, 4400 block of Long. Report taken.

1:02 p.m. – Caller reported a male subject just drew a swastika on a machine, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. Report taken.

1:22 p.m. – Travis Trent Stach-Sells, 25, arrested for third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft in connection to two previously reported cases and on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 1250 Nandina. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:41 p.m. – Caller reported a homeless camp under Weddle Bridge. Officer responded. Not a camp. Subject advised to move along unless he wanted to sit on a park bench.

Oct. 16

7:33 a.m. – Caller turned ina wallet her son found at “Poverty Beach,” Foster Lake. Placed in found property.

12:07 p.m. – Caller reported lights stolen from the side yard, 2400 block of Ames Creek. Report taken.

1:46 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into house his while he was at work, 2200 block of Ironwood. Report taken.

4:30 p.m. – Barbara Jeanne Coldiron, 24, arrested for attempted third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

5:52 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a $329.90 money order, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

9:54 p.m. – Scott Dale Isle, 20, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of disorderly conduct and Albany warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 1530 Tamarack, space 36. Cited and released.

10:08 p.m. – Caller reported a male on a bicycle holding multiple bicycle tires, Nandina Street. Officer unable to locate.

Oct. 15

7 a.m. – A caller reported a male running toward him and asking for help, but the male had a knife, which he may have dropped when he ran off, 1300 block of Nandina. A second caller reported a male took a cart of groceries from Safeway but left the cart when chased. Report taken. Approximate value of items was $132.

9:15 a.m. – A 14-year-old male was cited for minor in possession of tobacco when the principal located a “vape pen” in the student’s possession, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

9:44 a.m. – Caller reported a truck and camper parked on the road, and people are living in it, 49th and Maple. Referred to code enforcement.

10:10 a.m. – Caller reported a male urinating behind the Hope Center, 12th and Long. Officer warned the subject for placing an offensive substance on the ground.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported finding a bike in the bushes, 500 block of Mountain View. Bicycle seized as found property.

11:53 a.m. – Daniel Eugene McCarty, 56, cited on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and Linn County warrant for failure to register as a sex offender, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

3:42 p.m. – Officer located a bicycle on the side of the road, Elkhorn Street. Placed in found property.

4:37 p.m. – Kyle William Hadley, 21, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.

6:52 p.m. – Michael John Hoffman, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief.

8:35 p.m. – Caller reported a male stabbing himself, 4100 block of Osage. Officer responded. Medics transported male to hospital with two self-inflicted puncture wounds.

9:18 p.m. – Caller reported people yelling up and down the street and dogs barking, 2400 block of Harding. Officer responded and left a business card. No one was at home. Four dogs were barking on and off.

Oct. 14

1:05 a.m. – Caller reported a theft, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken. Loss valued at 69 cents.

1:35 a.m. – Bart Barron Preston, 48, arrested for third-degree theft, 18th and Main. Cited and released.

3:07 a.m. – Zane Wesley Zigler, 25, cited for driving while suspended, O’Reilly’s.

7:44 a.m. – Caller reported that someone killed a pig, Ironwood and 22nd. Officer responded. Caller heard a pig squealing and dog barking and assumed an attack. Nothing happened.

8:26 a.m. – Caller reported a man reaching behind the counter and stealing cigarettes, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken. Loss valued at $5.99.

8:32 a.m. – Caller reported a male in a Dodge pickup illegally parked to pick up a child and blocking traffic, Oak Heights. When school staff asked him to move, he responded inappropriately. Officer would contact registered owner and discuss the issue.

8:46 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of cigarettes, 2405 Main St. Report taken. Loss valued at $5.99.

9:41 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of fuel from a vehicle and tractor, 1800 block of Tamarack. Approximately 10 gallons were stolen. Report taken.

3:01 p.m. – One vehicle involved in a two-vehicle collision went into a ditch, 28000 block of Pleasant Valley Rd. No injuries. No citations.

4 p.m. – Caller reported persons living in a trailer, 1100 block of First. Referred to code enforcement.

7:35 p.m. – Caller reported two males on bicycles rode up the driveway and turned off their lights, 600 block of Mountain View. Officer located a female, who was trespassed. A bicycle and backpack were seized as found property.

Oct. 13

2:50 a.m. – Brandon Lee Basham, 22, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1118 Main St. Cited and released.

10:03 a.m. – Caller reported finding a syringe, Ninth and railroad tracks. Officer responded and disposed of the syringe.

11:23 a.m. – Caller reported household garbage piled up along the fence, 1000 block of 13th. Referred to code enforcement.

11:39 a.m. – Caller reported a homeless subject set up camp in a vacant lot, 2500 block of Long. Officer located tent and would check back later.

1:21 p.m. – Two juvenile males, ages 14 and 15, taken into custody for third-degree theft, 1980 Main St. Cited and released to parents.

1:34 p.m. – Caller reported a cell phone stolen from a porch, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $110.

1:40 p.m. – Caller reported that a male dropped off a toy with a bottle of a suspicious substance inside, 3900 block of Osage. Officer responded and would dispose of the item.

2:46 p.m. – Caller reported that someone ran through his house during the night and left a container in the laundry room, 1600 block of Dogwood. Report taken for burglary.

3:13 p.m. – Caller reported a violation of flashing school bus lights, 1200 block of Kalmia. Letter sent to registered owner of the vehicle.

3:29 p.m. – Caller reported a female shoplifter on a bicycle, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Report taken.

5:34 p.m. – Caller found a wallet at the park, 1700 block of 11th. Wallet placed in found property.

8:19 p.m. – Caller reported that he was attacked by an unknown male when he hasked if he had seen his dog, 1000 block of Main. Report taken. Victim transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

8:45 p.m. – Caller reported that someone filed taxes under his name, and he received a tax return check in the mail, 400 block of Fifth.

9:16 p.m. – Byron Gene Marsh, 60, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, alley between 12th and 13th avenues. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

Oct. 12

3:29 p.m. – Caller reported that someone left an old dead chicken foot in the driveway, 700 block of Fifth. Information noted.

Oct. 11

9:43 a.m. – A vehicle with no plates recovered, 24400 block of West Brush Creek.

Oct. 10

3:50 p.m. – Caller left on an ATV south of the Sno Park Trail then got turned around and wasn’t sure which trail he was on. Both people returned to their camp and were located within a few hours of the call.

Oct. 9

4:01 p.m. – Caller was in the process of an eviction. He said the person’s room had two cats that had only been fed Cheerios locked in it.

4:31 p.m. – Caller said his neighbor has junk and dog food bags full of garbage piled up near their shared fence line, 2700 block of Old Holley.

Oct. 8

10:31 p.m. – A motorcycle was involved in non-injury multi-vehicle collision, 39800 block of County Line Rd. There was no property damage.

Oct. 7

6:20 a.m. – Caller said she noticed suspicious things, such as lights being on, at a house that is vacant, 28900 block of Weatherly. Deputies checked on the house and everything was secure.
