Oct. 26

2:20 a.m. – Caller reported finding a plastic baggie with a white substance inside, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Property seized for destruction.

8:54 a.m. – Debra Lucy Sloan, 57, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, Trailer Villa.

10:44 a.m. – Kathrin Pauleen Bly, 44, cited for driving while suspended, 621 Main St., Thriftway.

10:52 a.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 35, arrested for third-degree theft, possession of meth, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and a Linn County supervisory warrant for probation violation on original charge of failure to appear, 13th and Long. Transported to Linn County Jail. A caller at Dan Dee Sales had reported a male stole a backpack and left on a skateboard.

12:48 p.m. – Caller reported that someone tried to kick in the back door while she was on vacation, 1200 block of Poplar. Report taken.

Oct. 25

1:34 a.m. – Caller reported a subject jumping over her fence to break in, 1200 block of Poplar. Report taken.

1:37 a.m. – Lyle Allen Braaten, 55, arrested for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree criminal trespass, assaulting a public safety officer and resisting arrest, 1103 24th Ave. Caller had reported a male hitting the side of a house with a board. The male also was spotted getting out of the caller’s vehicle.

1:50 a.m. – Caller reported a female leaving without paying a $74 bill, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Female left behind a credit card that had been declined. Report taken.

12:26 p.m. – Donna A. Claxton, 23, arrested for third-degree theft, 1200 block of Main. Cited and released.

1:40 p.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 22, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of attempting to elude and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of hit and run, 900 block of 12th. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his shop, 1100 block of 24th. Report taken for criminal mischief. Nothing missing.

8:01 p.m. – Caller reported a customer leaving without paying for fuel, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. Officer responded. Information noted. Possible miscommunication.

9:18 p.m. – Caller reported his wallet stolen from a vehicle and credit and debit cards used in the area, 3200 block of Main. Report taken.

Oct. 24

3:04 a.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated male lying in the driveway with a bicycle, and the male may have damaged mailboxes, 1100 block of Ironwood. Officer unable to locate male but found two mailboxes that had been knocked off their posts. One was damaged. Officer placed both on residents’ porches.

9:02 a.m. – Caller reported six used batteries stolen, 4600 block of Main. One was still good. Report taken. Loss valued at $130.

9:13 a.m. – Caller reported a female standing in front of the store asking customers for money, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Officer contacted female and advised her of the caller’s concerns. The female said she would not return to the location or continue the behavior.

9:30 a.m. – Caller reported a male panhandling, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted a male, who admitted to the activity. He said he would refrain from the activity in the future.

9:39 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle window broken, 900 block of Long. Report taken. A rock had been thrown at the vehicle, breaking a window.

10:08 a.m. – Davy Anthony Phillips, 43, and Michael Todd Sylvester, 51, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, east end of Willow on mill property. Cited and released.

11:38 a.m. – Caller reported a female just stole deli food and left on a bike, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.

2:20 p.m. – Jeremiah Jerry Rawland Wolford, 35, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, All-Star parking lot.

2:29 p.m. – Mehgan Necole Dean, 21, arrested for third-degree theft, All-Star. Cited and released.

2:33 p.m. – Steven Allen Jones, 25, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and state warrant for parole violation, All-Star. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:43 p.m. – Caller reported two small children trying to come up with money to buy food, and they said they didn’t want to go home, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Female in the store bought them food. Officer responded. The boys had no concern about going home. Officer gave them a courtesy ride home. Both boys returned to a responsible adult.

7:07 p.m. – Ryan Andrew Adelman, 17, cited for driving without a license and driving outside restrictions, Kalmia and 22nd.

7:42 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 12th and Juniper. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:45 p.m. – Caller reported that while she was on vacation, items were stolen from her residence, 1400 block of Westwood. Report taken. Value unknown.

9:53 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 31, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief while in custody in connection to a broken food tray valued at $10, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

10:29 p.m. – Devin Wade Stafford, 16, cited for no license and driving outside of restriction, Juniper and 29th.

11:04 p.m. – Steven Michael Gibson, 40, arrested for harassment, 1639 Elm St. Cited, held for detox and released. Caller had reported a female and male yelling at each other.

Oct. 23

8 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle has been parked in the street for three weeks, and the bed is “full of stuff,” 1100 block of Second. Officer contacted one of the registered owners, who said they are working on getting the vehicle moved. Officer would check back later.

10:24 a.m. – Caller reported a dog showed up at her residence, and she had been unable to locate owner, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer responded and took the dog for Linn County Dog Control.

11:50 a.m. – Caller reported batteries and boxes stolen from her RV, 4600 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $280.

3:07 p.m. – R.C. Phillips, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.

6:10 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter’s bike stolen, 1530 Tamarack, Mountain Shadows. Report taken. Loss valued at $174.

Oct. 22

6:17 a.m. – Gilbert Alonzo Martinez, 39, arrested for possession of meth and for a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on possession of meth and third-degree escape, 18th and Kalmia. Cited and released. Caller had reported seeing a male pushing two bikes toward the apartments.

9:08 a.m. – Skyler Norlyn Brown, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Tigard. Cited and released.

11:57 a.m. – Caller reported that someone opened credit cards in her name, 1000 block of 29th Ave. Report taken.

12:44 p.m. – Caller reported returning home to find subjects on his porch and the door wide open, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer assisted caller in getting subjects out of his house.

12:55 p.m. – Laryssa Jean Cox, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1250 Nandina St. Cited and released.

12:59 p.m. – James Leroy Salvador, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 1250 Nandina St. Cited and released.

3:45 p.m. – Caller reported a male asking everybody for money as they leave the Post Office, 1300 block of Long. Officer contacted male and counseled him for his actions.

3:55 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her home and stole her medical marijuana, 4300 block of Main. Report taken.

4:54 p.m. – Caller reported her tablet stolen, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

5:46 p.m. – Caller reported hearing gunshots, north end of Clark Mill. Officer unable to locate anyone firing a gun. Officer spoke with subjects who said they hear gunshots every day, possibly from outside the city limits.

8:53 p.m. – Caller reported young people in a four-wheel drive pickup just pulled trash cans out into the street and took off, 18th and Main. Officer responded, picked up trash and placed it back in the can. Unable to locate vehicle or drivers.

Oct. 21

12:05 a.m. – Shaw Jerred Valentine, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

12:22 a.m. – Jesse Alan Marsh III, 27, arrested for driving under the influence, 1900 block of Main. Cited and released.

7:04 a.m. – Caller reported her son’s bicycle stolen from school, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights. Report taken. Loss valued at $140.

8:12 a.m. – Caller reported neighbor’s dog baying all day, 1200 block of Linden. Officer attempted to contact owner. Officer would contact later.

10:28 a.m. – Gypsie Marie Esperum, 56, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation (owes five days in jail) and Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of second-degree theft, 12th and Kalmia. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11 a.m. – Amber Jo Pitts, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of heroin and endangering the welfare of a minor; Albany warrant for contempt of court; and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of probation violation, 4166 Osage St. Josiah Daniel Cottier, 29, arrested for restraining order violation. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:02 a.m. – Caller reported a shoplifter, 3041 Main St. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.

2:32 p.m. – Caller reported that while walking on Sunday, a dog ran out at him, 600 block of Seventh. Officer contacted resident and relayed information. She said she would try to keep the dog contained.

12:28 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, Ninth and Elm. No injuries. No citations.

1:51 p.m. – Salem Police Department recovered a vehicle stolen from Sweet Home.

3 p.m. – Caller found a license plate in the middle of the road, Ames Creek. Message left for registered owner.

4:09 p.m. – Caller reported that a mail carrier was bitten by a dog, 800 block of Oak Terrace. Information noted.

4:28 p.m. – Caller reported that someone has tampered with his mail, 4200 block Long. Information noted.

4;31 p.m. – Caller reported a power pole falling over into the road, 1000 block of Seventh. Officer took a report for hit and run, property.

5:10 p.m. – Mark Daniel Guiley, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene. Cited and released.

6:14 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 37, cited for second-degree criminal trespass, Fourth and Highway 228.

6:50 p.m. – Multiple callers reported several males chasing another male with sticks, 12th and Main. Unable to locate.

8:47 p.m. – Caller found a bicycle, 12th and Kalmia. Bike placed in found property.

Oct. 20

8:20 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle left at the entrance to River Bend Park. The windows had been smashed out. Report taken.

12:15 p.m. – Caller reported a subject trespassing and cutting his timber, 500 block of 50th.

11:59 a.m. – Caller reported trash accumulated against a house, 1100 block of Second. Referred to code enforcement.

5:59 p.m. – Caller reported two large dogs running loose in the area, 2900 block of Harding. Officer unable to locate.

6:11 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle lying against an electrical pole, 2300 block of Main. Officer seized bike and placed it in found property.

6:23 p.m. – Caller reported seeing a cougar run into the woods, 4100 block of Osage. Officer checked area. Unable to locate. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife notified.

7 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a disturbance over a dog, 3224 Main St., South Fork trailer park. Officer responded and returned the dog to the owner.

7:09 p.m. – Jaycee Ryan McClurg, 28, arrested by Deschutes County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under influence. Cited and released.

8:22 p.m. – Jeremiah Luke Robles, 18, arrested for second-degree theft, 1100 block of 11th. Cited and released.

10:15 p.m. – Caller reported her wallet stolen from her car, 1200 block of 40th. Report taken. Loss valued at $17.

11:11 p.m. – Clinton Jack Williams, 27, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another person, 1551 12th Ave. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male subject punching and breaking the car window where her daughter was sitting.

Oct. 19

6:14 p.m. – Anthony Justin Zib, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to appear, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:33 p.m. – Tyler Paul Malloy, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:51 p.m. – William Lee Phillips, 33, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 3224 Main St., South Fork trailer park. Dog placed in quarantine. Caller had reported her son bitten by a dog. He had three puncture wounds to his leg.

6:04 p.m. – Caller found a North Dakota driver’s license in the parking lot, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Item placed in found property.

10 p.m. – Janelle Ranee Gibbs, 36, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Cited and released.

Oct. 18

10:29 a.m. – Caller reported going off the road into a tree about 2.5 miles up Lava Lake Road. No one was injured.

Oct. 17

8:21 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a car, Pacific Crest Trail Head.

8:59 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a vehicle, but the owners were still on the Pacific Crest Trail. Caller left a note for the owner to call Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

Oct. 16

12:41 p.m. – Caller reported goats and dogs keep coming onto the caller’s property, 48000 block of Highway 20.

1:02 p.m. – Caller reported that dogs had two children and their mother stuck in the house, 28800 block of Brushwood. Deputy contacted the dogs’ owner. The owner expressed interest in surrendering the dogs and would contact Animal Control the following week.

2:36 p.m. – Caller reported that the dogs from the previous call came onto his property and attacked his dogs, 28800 block of Brushwood. The caller said it was an ongoing issue. The owner of the dogs offered to pay the vet bills for the caller’s dog because it was injured.

3:35 p.m. – Two male subjects broke into a vehicle, 60800 block of Highway 126. Deputies have been unable to reach the owner to find out what is missing.

4:58 p.m. – Caller was parked across from Hoodoo at the Pacific Crest Trail, 60800 block of Highway 126, and said his backpack, laptop, gun and camera were taken from his vehicle. Report taken. Loss valued at more than $1,000.

5:21 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor trespassed on his property and that his neighbor accused his dog of coming onto the neighbor’s property and killing a wild turkey, 42000 block of McDowell Creek.

5:42 p.m. – Caller reported a broken window and backpack stolen, Pacific Crest Trail Head. Report taken.

Oct. 14

11:02 a.m. – Caller reported that someone vandalized his vehicle during the night or morning, 41400 block of Upper Berlin.
