Oct. 27

9:50 a.m. – Betty Joline Banta, 45, cited for dog at large. Caller had reported finding a stray husky-type dog, 1900 block of Long.

10:10 a.m. – Caller reported a non-injury crash at Whiskey Butte and Cedar Creek.

10:58 a.m. – Lynnette Irene Johnson, 40, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended, 400 block of Main. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

11:43 a.m. – Caller reported a burglary, 28100 block of Pleasant Valley. Loss estimated at $4,460.

12:40 p.m. – Caller turned in a cell phone, Long Street at Ames Creek. Placed in found property.

1:34 p.m. – Shauna Ray Harden, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court on original charge of disorderly conduct, Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and possession of methamphetamine and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a citation and cited for driving while suspended, 18th and Tamarack. Cited and released.

1:37 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 41, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library. Cited and released.

3:19 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 41, cited for consuming or possessing alcohol in a public place and issued a park exclusion, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Caller had reported transients, their dogs and grocery carts were blocking Weddle Bridge and people don’t feel comfortable to enjoy the bridge. One person was sleeping on the bridge, and another was in a chair. They had four dogs.

4:15 p.m. – Caller found an open pocket knife lying in the parking lot, 2414 Main St., Dollar Tree. Placed in found property.

8:17 p.m. – Melissa Jean Ackley, 41, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

8:59 p.m. – William Tanner, 58, arrested for improper use of 9-1-1, 45600 block of Sunnyside Road. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:24 p.m. – Bryson Vearl Setzkorn, 30, arrested on Linn County warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, attempted first-degree theft, attempted unauthorized use of a vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and failure to appear on a citation and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 1400 block of 53rd. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported neighbors arguing but did not know if it was physical. Parties denied the reported activities.

Oct. 26

2:58 a.m. – Richard Barrett, 24, arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving, Les Schwab Tire Center parking lot. Cited and released.

3:45 a.m. – Joshua Casey Waddell, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

11:22 a.m. – Jordan Nicole Moore, 29, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of credit card fraud, Linn County.

12:51 p.m. – Patrick Thomas Thornhill, 44, arrested for possession of methamphetamine and cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended, 1300 block of Nandina. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded.

5:26 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs roaming the neighborhood, 47th and Main. Officer unable to locate.

6:04 p.m. – Caller reported his mother’s vehicle broke down, and the caller was concerned that it may be a hazard where it was parked, 1000 block of Main Street. The caller wanted an officer to check. Officer responded. The vehicle was not a hazard, but it was parked on a yellow line. The officer assisted the caller moving it to a parking spot.

7:15 p.m. – Caller reported aggressive dogs loose in the area, 3600 block of Green River. Officer unable to locate.

8:29 p.m. – Caller reported a male camping under a tree across the street from the Dollar General parking lot. Male gone upon officer arrival. Caller advised to call back if the male returned.

Oct. 25

4:30 a.m. – Caller found a wallet, Sweet Home area. Placed in found property.

7:34 a.m. – Marc Noel Osker, 62, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of criminal driving while suspended, Lebanon.

10:02 a.m. – Caller reported a dog came onto his property and attacked his dog, 5300 block of Osage. Officer contacted the caller. His dog was not injured. Officer to watch for the dog.

10:09 a.m. – Sheryl Anne Feigum, 50, turned herself in on Linn County warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:37 a.m. – Kevin Roy Hampton, 56, cited and released in field for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 2295 Main St., Mobile gas station.

12:17 p.m. – Caller found a dog, Mimosa Circle. Dog lodged in kennel.

12:34 p.m. – Caller found a syringe on the ground, 3000 block of Main. Officer seized it for disposal.

12:37 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s civil deputy requested an officer respond, 1300 block of Main. Report taken for third-degree escape.

1:25 p.m. – Caller reported her son has been calling and threatening her, 6200 block of Main. Report taken for telephonic harassment. The male lives out of state. Report forwarded to city attorney.

2:42 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into his residence, 4000 block of Osage. Report taken. Damage valued at $40, and lost property valued at $430.

5:08 p.m. – Caller reported her fuel line was cut and fuel stolen, 1700 block of Cedar. Report taken. Damage valued at $80, and theft valued at $40.

Oct. 24

7:28 a.m. – Caller reported transients sleeping in front of a business, 1229 Main St., Seamingly Creative. Officer contacted two individuals, who moved on.

3:01 p.m. – Cameron Michael Wark, 30, arrested for possession of methamphetamine, two Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charge of possession of methamphetamine and a citation and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, 2100 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4 p.m. – Caller reported a male was outside yelling at customers, 1200 block of Long. Officer contacted a male who was preaching and advised him to control his volume.

4:28 p.m. – Patrick William Rogers, 63, cited for no license, 18th and Long.

11:56 p.m.- Caller reported neighbors continuously allow a dog to bark, 4200 block of Long. Officer contacted the owner and advised him of the complaint. Caller advised to contact code enforcement.

Oct. 23

12:10 a.m. – Caller reported an unknown male stole tools and a gas can out of a truck, 5300 block of Osage. Report taken. Loss valued at $350.

4:12 a.m. – Caller reported a restraining order violation, 40800 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

5:22 a.m. – Caller reported a dog hit by a vehicle, 600 block of Main. The dog ran toward the Wells Fargo ATM. The vehicle did not stop. Officer unable to locate the dog.

7:32 a.m. – Caller found the dog running loose, 12th and Long. Dog lodged in kennel.

9:52 a.m. – Veronica Szuch, 23, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s.

10:40 a.m. – Caller found a lost dog, 800 block of 43rd. Dog lodged in kennel.

11:34 a.m. – Anthony Hardee, 22, cited for driving uninsured, All Star Auto.

11:59 a.m. – Rochelle Arquette Zamacona, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, Multnomah County.

4:36 p.m. – Kaby Patricia Keith-Heidt, 23, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of heroin, delivering heroin and delivering heroin within 1,000 feet of a school, and Jared Nicholas Bilyeu, 26, arrested for third-degree theft, 743 Birch St. Keith-Heidt transported to Linn County Jail. Bilyeu cited and released.

5:56 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, Long and Clark Mill. Officer unable to locate.

8:53 p.m. – Colby James De-cleve, 25, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene.

9:29 p.m. – Caller reported his neighbor’s dog had been barking nonstop and keeping him awake, 900 block of 15th. Officer located the barking dog but was unable to reach the owner.

Oct. 22

1:42 a.m. – Austin Dale West, 23, arrested for resisting arrest and Sweet Home warrant for fourth-degree assault, Chewy’s, 1200 12th Ave. Cited and released.

5:58 a.m. – Davy Anthony Phillips, 47, turned himself in on Linn County warrant for two counts of failure to appear and third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

8:34 a.m. – Caller reported someone entered a shed and stole four gas cans, 1400 block of 60th. Report taken.

10:56 a.m. – Joshua Scott Dawson, 40, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

11:52 a.m. – Parole and Probation was using the booking room and found drug paraphernalia on a female in custody, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Item seized for destruction.

1:07 p.m. – Caller saw a male sitting on a curb cocking a pistol, 2000 block of Main. Officer located the male and confirmed the pistol was a pellet gun. Officer cautioned him not to handle it in public areas.

1:27 p.m. – Caller reported two males and a female were screaming at cars and pulling off their clothing, 1500 block of Main. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate anyone matching the description.

1:33 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been parked for about two weeks, 1500 block of 40th. The caller believed the owners moved away. Officer contacted the owner, who agreed to move it as soon as possible.

1:42 p.m. – Caller caught an employee stealing from the store, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Report taken.

4:42 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle hit a male on a bicycle then put the male and bicycle in the back of the truck and left, Main and Clark Mill. Officer located the vehicle and contacted the operator, who said the male on the bicycle ran into the side of his truck. He offered the male a ride to another location. Officer contacted the bicyclist, who declined any assistance.

4:49 p.m. – Caller found the door to his house open, 1100 block of 18th. Report taken for criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Damage valued at $300.

5:46 p.m. – Caller reported her 8-year-old daughter had stolen approximately $150 worth of items from various locations, 2300 block of Jefferson. The caller wanted to know her options and her daughter counseled. Officer contacted the caller by phone and advised of options.

6:09 p.m. – Officer located a motor-vehicle collision, Clark Mill and Main. Female evaluated by medics and transported to hospital by private vehicle. Report taken for the crash.

6:40 p.m. – Caller reported having a problem with a homeless person on a bus and requested an officer meet the bus at the next stop, 13th and Kalmia. Officer contacted both parties. The driver requested the officer as a precaution in case there were any additional problems with the male leaving the bus. The male was counseled for his actions and left the area.

8:31 p.m. – Caller reported a generator stolen, 1200 block of 44th. Report taken. Loss valued at $800.

Oct. 21

7:14 a.m. – Caller reported transients sleeping in front of a building, 1200 block of Main. Officer advised them to move along and remove their trash and belongings.

10:56 a.m. – Gaylynn Wagner, 49, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

11:20 a.m. – Cathy Ann Smith, 45, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon.

11:50 a.m. – Caller requested an officer respond to seize drugs, 13th and Main. Property seized for destruction.

12:50 p.m. – David Lee Oviatt, 39, arrested for contempt of court, 1600 block of Long. Cited and released.

1:08 p.m. – David Lee Oviatt, 39, arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, 1600 block of Long. Cited and released. Officer had located a concealed knife on a male subject in custody.

1:18 p.m. – Caller reported a bag of belongings left at Bi-Mart, 1980 Main St. Placed in found property.

1:26 p.m. – Caller reported a line hanging down over the roadway, 1000 block of 23rd. Public Works put up barricades, and Comcast responded.

1:46 p.m. – Caller reported a male discarded paperwork outside the Police Department, 1950 Main St. Report taken.

1:50 p.m. – David Lee Oviatt, 39, cited and released in field for offensive littering, 13th and Main.

3 p.m. – Caller heard a dog go from barking in the morning to crying like he was in distress in the afternoon, 2200 block of Nandina. Area quiet upon officer arrival.

4:44 p.m. – Caller reported her wallet had been taken and three charges have come in from out of state. Report taken.

5:22 p.m. – Caller reported that someone is taking checks out of the caller’s mailbox and trying to cash them, 2300 block of Harding. Report taken.

6:23 p.m. – Caller reported seeing a female she has a stalking order against at the Boys and Girls Club and the caller later found the window in her vehicle broken. Report taken for violating a protection order and criminal mischief.

6:35 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking all morning and afternoon and sounding as though it may have been in distress, 2200 block of Nandina. Area quiet upon officer arrival.

6:41 p.m. – Caller reported a restraining order violation, 40800 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

7:48 p.m. – Caller reported his ex-wife, against whom he has a restraining order, was at his house, 1000 block of 13th. Report taken to be forwarded to district attorney for contempt of court.

Oct. 20

6:53 a.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping in a car and wanted an officer to check on him, 100 block of 10th. Officer contacted the male, who was just sleeping in the car.

8:29 a.m. – Caller reported a restraining order violation, 40800 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

9:24 a.m. – Caller reported a male next door had been screaming for hours, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer observed a male inside the residence, but he refused to come to the door.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported someone broke into her truck and stole a toolbox, 300 block of W. Holley Road. Report taken. Damage estimated at $250. Loss valued at $80.

11:19 a.m. – Kevin Earl Terwillger, 56, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 600 block of Main. Cited and released.

2:01 p.m. – Melinda Sue Williams Anaya, 50, cited for failure to register vehicle and driving uninsured, Dollar General.

2:30 p.m. – Sarah Elizabeth Ryan, 21, cited for failure to display out-of-state plate, driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Long and 29th.

3:43 p.m. – Sunny Sky Stone, 47, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to obey traffic control device, Main Street Market.

6:28 p.m. – Caller found a bone in the woods, 43400 block of Marks Ridge. The bone is likely from an animal, but the Sheriff’s Office is working with the medical examiner’s office to verify that.

7:43 p.m. – Scott Kellum, 66, cited for driving uninsured, Long near 18th.

9:17 p.m. – Collin William Church, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original criminal driving charge, Linn County.

Oct. 19

3:09 p.m. – Caller reported a wire down, 4th and Main. Officer responded. Utility companies and Public Works handled the wire.

3:15 p.m. – Caller reported two males stole beer and deli food, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $25.

3:57 p.m. – Elisha Marie Adams, 38, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 1951 12th Ave. Cited and released.

Oct. 18

8:12 a.m. – Brandon Shayne McCullough, 22, arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of burglary tools and possession of methamphetamine, 13th and Kalmia. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had received information from a friend that her vehicle was in the parking lot near the library. Vehicle had been reported stolen out of Lebanon. Vehicle released to owner.

8:41 a.m. – Cody Michael Lobdell, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Albany.

9:37 a.m. – Caller reported her son was beaten up while waiting for the school bus, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer responded and contacted the involved parties. No crimes due to the ages. Caller advised of options.

9:54 a.m. – Caller reported a male was back on his property, and the caller wanted him trespassed, 900 block of Main. Officer responded and trespassed a male and female. They gathered their belongings and left the area.

10:07 a.m. – Aaron Ira Fetter, 44, cited for failure to obey a traffic control device, 12th and Spruce.

10:35 a.m. – Caller reported that a male called her and told her he kidnapped her daughter, 1200 block of Cessna. Officer contacted the daughter, who was fine. The call was a scam. Information noted, and caller advised of options.

12:08 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs running loose, 49th and Maple. Officer unable to locate.

12:10 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle in the ditch, 3200 block of Long. A nearby resident was able to pull the vehicle out. No injuries. Operator had no signs of impairment. Vehicle legally parked until a licensed driver could retrieve it.

12:22 p.m. – Caller reported that someone cut a fence and stole multiple items worth about $65, 1400 block of 24th. Report taken.

1:28 p.m. – Caller found marijuana and cigarettes in a locker, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High. Items seized for destruction.

1:54 p.m. – Elizabeth Lynn Riddle, 21, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1900 block of Long. Cited and released.

2:31 p.m. – Caller found a well-behaved husky, 47th and Green River. Lodged in kennel.

2:52 p.m. – A female has called the Police Department more than 92 times so far this month with bizarre statements and questions, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. This is an increase over previous months where she averaged five to 15 calls. Information and a sample of her calls sent to Linn County Mental Health.

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported a male left without paying for food from the deli, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

3:40 p.m. – Caller reported that he went home on his lunch break and found his truck door open, 1000 block of 13th. Nothing appeared missing or damaged. Information noted.

4:45 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs running out into the street at every car that passed, 43rd and Airport. Owner warned for dog at large.

5:07 p.m. – Caller found a loaded syringe in her front yard, 1100 block of 22nd. Officer disposed of the syringe.

5:45 p.m. – Shaney Jeffery Steinbacher, 45, arrested for third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Cited and released.

6:14 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor was flying a drone over the caller’s yard the previous night, 700 block of 9th. Officer contacted a male who admitted to flying the drone. He was advised it could not be flown in the described manner.

6:19 p.m. – Caller reported a female came into the caller’s backyard and took the caller’s 6-month-old pit bull puppy, 1700 block of 9th. Investigation continuing.

Oct. 17

6:33 a.m. – Caller reported a male showed up at his house and the male was not supposed to be there, 1100 block of 18th. Report taken for contempt of court.

9:26 a.m. – David Steven Wamsley, 46, arrested for violation of a stalking order, 29224 Santiam Highway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:47 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his tenant’s house and stole a TV, 1900 block of 12th. Information noted. Caller advised to have the tenant file a burglary report after returning from a trip out of town.

10:17 a.m. – Caller reported a boat and trailer had been parked on the street for about two weeks, 900 block of Alder. Posted for removal.

11:13 a.m. – Caller reported a male set up camp on his property, 900 block of Main. Caller requested he be trespassed. Male gone upon officer arrival.

1:24 p.m. – Caller reported that someone ran into his vehicle, 1000 block of 4th. Officer responded. Driver’s mirror was damaged. No evidence what vehicle hit it. Information noted.

4:24 p.m. – Officer observed a vehicle roll back into another vehicle in the Bi-Mart parking lot, 1980 Main St. Officer contacted the involved parties. The owner of the second vehicle did not want any police action. Owner of the rolling vehicle was counseled for not parking his vehicle properly.

4:27 p.m. – Caller caught four juveniles vandalizing her mailbox, 3700 block of Long. Officer counseled the juveniles for their actions.

7:05 p.m. – Caller reported an injured brown husky running loose, 43rd and Long. Officer unable to locate.

11:49 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle idling in the parking lot for four hours, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer contacted a male who was sleeping in the vehicle. He said he had been dropped off by a friend and did not want to drive home due to consuming alcohol earlier in the night.
