Oct. 26

8:45 a.m. – Caller reported that someone used her name to open a Verizon account and purchase an iPhone 10, which was to be delivered to a non-existent address in Sweet Home, 1000 block of Pleasant Valley. The phone was delivered to her residence because the FedEx driver knew the caller. Phone to be returned to Verizon. Report taken.

Oct. 25

8:04 a.m. – A 13-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of marijuana, Husky Field. Released to mother. Caller had reported juveniles smoking marijuana near location.

9:50 a.m. – During a foot patrol, officer located property, Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

10:52 a.m. – Matthew Wayne Short, 30, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Linn County Jail.

10:56 a.m. – Caller reported seeing a car in the water, 45000 block of Quartzville. The car was exposed due to extremely low lake levels. Linn County Sheriff’s Office responded by boat and confirmed the car was very old. Report taken.

1:40 p.m. – Caller reported a dog at large, 200 block of 5th. Officer contacted the caller but did not locate the dog. The dog’s owner was out looking for the dog.

2:16 p.m. – Shawn Michael Hoggatt, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

2:25 p.m. – Caller reported three vehicles parked on the street for several weeks, 1300 block of Poplar. Officer contacted a resident, advised of city codes and left a business card for the owner of the vehicles.

2:26 p.m. – Wesley James Bennett, 52, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

3:01 p.m. – Caller reported her son stole $600 from her daughter, 1100 block of Poplar. Report taken.

5:33 p.m. – Caller reported her son’s girlfriend stole her car, 900 block of Mountain View. Report taken. Vehicle had already been returned. Suspect location unknown.

5:40 p.m. – Tyson Derek Boren, 35, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

5:40 p.m. – Caller reported that she found a license plate, 2200 block of Long. Placed in found property.

8:54 p.m. – James David Stedman III, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Independence.

Oct. 24

12:13 a.m. – Stephen Gregory, 52, arrested on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear.

1:43 a.m. – Caller requested that an officer check the area because she thought a cougar was walking around her tent and she could hear men talking, 1400 block of 13th. Officer checked he area. Unable to locate.

5:15 a.m. – Mark Aaron Lamb, 41, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of reckless driving and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 3500 block of Juniper. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:57 a.m. – Caller reported she believed her email had been hacked, 1200 block of Nandina. Information noted.

12:59 p.m. – Jeffrey Ryan Harris, 25, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

2 p.m. – Lee Charles Baltezore II, 19, arrested for second-degree sexual abuse and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

2:43 p.m. – Officer located a motor vehicle collision, 18th near Grape. Report taken. No injuries. Damage more than $2,500.

6:39 p.m. – Caller reported a homeless male camping inside the Sweet Home Post Office, 1303 Long St., Sweet Home Post Office. Officer contacted the male outside the location and reminded him he could not be there. The male moved on.

8:10 p.m. – Diana Lynn Hall, 61, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and Brownsville warrant for contempt of court, west city limits.

Oct. 23

3:52 a.m. – Caller reported her stepson broke up her kitchen and left with his dog, 4800 block of Main. Report taken.

9:04 a.m. – Paul Levi Shelton, 29, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended, possession of heroin and a criminal citation; a Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence; and Salem warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, Mountain View and 22nd. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:01 a.m. – Caller reported a stray dog running in and out of traffic, Holley and Vista. Officer unable to locate.

10:23 a.m. – Justin Thomas Parker, 39, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County.

11:05 a.m. – Christine Lorraine Reigstad, 51, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Lebanon.

12:16 p.m. – Caller reported someone tried to wedge a truck between two parked cars and got stuck, 1980 Main St.Report taken.

12:20 p.m. – Officer located mismatched license plates on a vehicle, Main and 9th. Plate seized.

12:49 p.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts, 30, cited on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, menacing and second-degree criminal trespass, 400 block of Center, Lebanon.

1:24 p.m. – Caller found drug paraphernalia in the planter box outside Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St. Officer disposed of the item.

2:02 p.m. – Caller reported a random bicycle showed up on his porch, 1500 block of Tamarack. Placed in found property.

2:32 p.m. – Caller found a purse at Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave. Placed in found property.

2:39 p.m. – Caller reported her sister’s ex took her phone and refused to give it back, 1600 block of Fir. Officer contacted the male’s father who said he would work on getting the item back to the caller. Investigation continuing.

3:58 p.m. – Caller reported her ex was violating his restraining order, 400 block of Maple. Report taken.

10:01 p.m. – James Brian Tidwell, 60, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1800 block of Main.

10:03 p.m. – Joseph Umphress, 29, arrested on a Linn County warrant for failure to perform community service, 1000 block of North River.

10:22 p.m. – Caller reported her vehicle was stolen 30 minutes earlier, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s.

Oct. 22

8:39 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole scrap from his metal pile and he has it on camera, 2300 block of Main. Caller wanted the subject trespassed if identified and located.

11 a.m. – Caller reported a firearm and wallet stolen from an unsecured vehicle, 800 block of Long. Report taken.

11:21 a.m. – A 16-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of tobacco, Long and 26th. Released to mother.

12:12 p.m. – Caller reported a blue Bronco had been parked on the street for about a year, 1600 block of Fir. Vehicle posted for removal. Resident advised about the posting, and the resident said it would be moved.

12:36 p.m. – Caller reported a dog tried to bite someone, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Dog returned home. Resident warned for dog at large.

1:13 p.m. – Caller found an unknown substance on a student, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken.

1:36 p.m. – Caller reported that some of her stolen property was turned in at Circle K, 2405 Main St. Officer responded. Three items returned to owner.

2:07 p.m. – Caller reported that someone pulled out some bricks and knocked over a stack of logs, 500 block of Main. Report taken. Nothing taken. Items just tampered with.

3:20 p.m. – Caller reported a two-vehicle crash, Long and 15th.

4:04 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile punched him in the face at the Skate Park, 1990 Long St. Report taken.

4:48 p.m. – Caller reported that one of her delivery drivers was harassed by a customer, Spoleto’s and 1100 block of 46th. Officer responded. It appeared that the resident and Spoleto’s employee were victims of a scam.

6:12 p.m. – Caller located a juvenile in possession of a vape pen, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Juvenile gone upon arrival. Item seized.

6:19 p.m. – Joe Allen Wayne Wood, 29, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two original counts of harassment and original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, 1251 Wiley Creek Road. Caller had reported unreasonably loud music coming from a residence. Residence was quiet upon officer arrival. Resident denied playing any loud music.

8:25 p.m. – Tara Leanna Dehart, 33, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, 18th and Main.

8:31 p.m. – Caller reported secondhand information that an intoxicated male was about to drive away, 1200 block of Long. Officer located a male who was asleep in a vehicle and admitted to being intoxicated. Officer provided him a courtesy transport to a friend’s residence.

8:55 p.m. – Weston Donovan Thompson, 27, arrested on Lebanon warrants for contempt of court and probation violation, failure to appear on a criminal citation and failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 18th and Tamarack. Transported to Linn County Jail.
