1:56 a.m. – Kevin Joseph Bachand, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original two counts of third-degree theft and a charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 12th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.
7L37 a.m. – Caller reported female won’t quit picking on him so he can go to bed, 1200 block of 55th. Officer responded and contacted both subjects, who were intoxicated. Male passed out on arrival. No emergency.
9:22 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was continually loose and barking outside her residence all night, 4100 block of Osage. Officer contacted dog owner and warned owner for dog as a public nuisance and dog at large.
12:14 p.m. – Caller reported detaining a shoplifter, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Officer responded. Caller requested that subject be trespassed.
12:14 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle damaged by silver spray paint, 900 block of Long. Report taken.

12:53 a.m. – Blake Andrew Martin, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Cited and released.
11:36 a.m. – Caller reported that someone tampered with her husband’s medication, 4600 block of Main. Report taken for theft.
4:27 p.m. – Caller reported two male subjects have been sleeping on the front porch of an empty house, 1400 block of 13th. Officer responded. Subjects moved on.
7:07 p.m. – Steven Edward Robinson, 24, arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card, attempted second-degree theft and third-degree theft, 2106 Main St. Cited and released.
8:11 p.m. – Caller reported a deer possibly hit, 3031 Main St. Officer responded. Deer dispatched.

1:44 a.m. – Caller reported a marijuana leaf had been painted on the back of the Chevron building. Report taken.
6:06 a.m. – William Lawrence McRae, 49, turned in himself on a Linn County justice warrant for failure to appear on original charge of contempt of court, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
9:46 a.m. – Caller reported that several rocks were stolen from in front of his house, 3200 block of Main. They included petrified wood and crystals. Report taken. Loss valued at $300.
10:06 a.m. – Caller reported finding a bag with syringes on the back of her vehicle, 1100 block of Nandina. Property seized for destruction.
11:24 a.m. – John Mark Taylor, 35, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Lane County Jail.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported finding four small urns in a vehicle that had been stolen in the Portland area and recovered, 5200 block of Main. Items seized for safekeeping.
5:21 p.m. – Caller reported finding drugs, 500 block of Main. Officer seized and disposed of property.
6:25 p.m. – Angela Diane McDonald, 37, cited and released in field on Lebanon arrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 3224 Main St., South Fork trailer park.
7:54 p.m. – Jory Ryan Davis, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree criminal mischief, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.
10:47 p.m. – Isaac Philip Waugh, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court on original charge of interfering with a police officer, 15th and Nandina. Cited and released.
11:29 p.m. – Raymond Lavern Lawrence, 57, cited and released in field on Albany warrants for failure to appear on three counts of possession or consumption of alcohol in a public place and for two charges of consumption or possession of alcohol in a public place, Sankey Park.

1:01 a.m. – James David Stedman III, 25, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence, Key Bank. Transported to Linn County Jail.
2:53 a.m. – Joshua Edwards, 26, arrested for possession of methamphetamine, 1241 23rd ave. Cited and released.
9:47 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of pills from the mail, 2500 block of Kalmia. Report taken.
12:39 p.m. – Nicholas Scot Warren, 35, arrested for third-degree theft in connection to a theft reported on Sept. 9 at the 76 Station, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
2:06 p.m. – Caller reported two subjects have set up camp and are sleeping at location, 2400 block of Main. Officer responded. No one at the location at the time. Officer would check back later.
4:05 p.m. – Caller reported a pickup and trailer with expired tags parked on the street for an extended period of time, 4000 block of Osage. Officer responded. No one was home. Officer would follow up later.
4:07 p.m. – Caller reported an accumulation of household garbage in a backyard, 4100 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.
6:40 p.m. – Robert Gary Mills Jr., 35, arrested on Salem warrant for failure to appear on original charge of trespassing, Long and 13th. Transported to Linn County Jail.
7:32 p.m. – Caller reported a dog on a chain barking constantly, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer responded. Dogs were brought in, and the situation resolved.

7:46 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dog has been howling for the past half hour, 500 block of Mountain View. Quiet on officer arrival. Owners gone. Officer left business card and would attempt to contact them later.
9:40 a.m. – Caller reported someone ran a Craigslist ad using his address, and people were responding, 1200 block of 40th. Officer noted information and provided options.
1:55 p.m. – A young juvenile continually rings the caller’s doorbell early in the morning, 4900 block of Mimosa. Officer responded. Investigation continuing.
2:37 p.m. – Caller reported a bank scam where someone deposits money into her account and she in turn sends a large portion of it to China, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Now, she said, her bank account has been seized. Caller is not out any money but wanted the information noted.
3:05 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle crossed the center and almost hit him head on, 1800 block of Main. The vehicle was parked at the location with a male slumped over the wheel. Officer responded. No signs of impairment, nor was he injured. He had been blinded by the sun and struck the curb, damaging his wheels and tires. Damage estimated at about $1,000.
3:16 p.m. – Caller reported stolen property, 5300 block of Main. Information noted until property owner completes a report.
4:41 p.m. – Mackenzie Erin Way, 23, turned in herself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
5:18 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 13th and Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.
9:49 p.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 34, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.
Sept. 30
4:55 a.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 32, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for contempt of court (owes five days in jail), 18th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.
6:37 a.m. – Caller reported someone sleeping in the outside hallway, 1207 Long St. Officer contacted the male and trespassed him from the location.
8:13 a.m. – Caller reported receiving a phone call from a male who advised he was with a female who missed the bus and didn’t know where her parents were, 12th and Poplar. Officer responded. School District transported the child to school. Officer planned to work with the school and contact parents regarding the issue.
9:37 a.m. – Caller reported the neighbor’s chickens were out and roaming the neighborhood, 4600 block of Airport Lane. Upon officer arrival, chickens had returned home. Officer spoke with caller and neighbors, who said it was an ongoing issue. Unable to contact owners. Investigation continuing.
9:47 a.m. – School resource officer reported that a child ran away from school staff, Foster School. Child refused to return and was physically escorted onto school grounds. School will contact parents.
10:25 a.m. – Caller reported a student left the building, Oak Heights School. Officer located student and returned him to school, where he was picked up by his mother.
12:44 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles climbing on top of the building across from the high school, 1600 block of Long. Officer contacted a male who admitted to climbing on top of the building. Officer warned him for criminal trespass.
1:43 p.m. – Cassie Lashell Meacham, 26, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, driving uninsured and driving while suspended, 11th and Elm.
4:23 p.m. – Caller reported garbage in the back and all around a pickup, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer contacted homeowner, who would work on getting the trash to the dump and taking care of broken-down vehicles in the driveway.
4:34 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle sitting in a driveway, and residents are stacking trash inside of it, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer responded. No violation at this time.
5:21 p.m. – Caller reported fuel was siphoned from two vehicles, and one of the fuel tanks had been punched, 2400 block of Main. Report taken. Approximately $75 in fuel stolen.
8:08 p.m. – Sixteen-year-old male juvenile cited on a Linn County warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, Main Street near Skyline Inn.
8:25 p.m. – Caller reported finding a Trac Phone on the sidewalk, 22nd and Long. Placed in found property.
11:43 p.m. – Nicholas Steven Ware, 24, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County Jail.

1:06 a.m. – Laura Jane Mills, 49, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Eugene. Cited and released.
2:39 a.m. – Caller reported two males on bicycles with five large white jugs, 1530 Tamarack, Mountain Shadows. Officer unable to locate.
6:46 a.m. – Caller reported seeing someone steal a doughnut in surveillance footage, 2405 Main St., Circle K.
8:03 a.m. – Jamie Karl Gayler, 41, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to register as a sex offender and Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of contempt of court, Chevron. Transported to Linn County Jail.
9:17 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle was vandalized, and someone tampered with the ignition, 1400 block of Westwood. Report taken.
10:46 a.m. – Caller reported a male child sitting on a curb and had concerns about the child not being in school, 1300 block of Long. Officer contacted a male subject and the child. They were homeless, and the child was not yet school age. Officer provided information about local resources.
11:51 a.m. – Caller reported a mountain bike stolen, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken.
1:12 p.m. – Christine Lorraine Reigstad, 48, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County. Transported to Linn County Jail.
5:21 p.m. – Sonja Diane Reagan, 47, arrested for second-degree criminal mistreatment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
6:02 p.m. – Caller reported locating a bicycle on the side of the road during the night, 1500 block of Tamarack. Bicycle placed in found property.
6:59 p.m. – Caller reported a male, female and two little girls who appeared to be homeless, 1500 block of Main. Officer contacted the family. Family members said they have a ride to come and get them, and they have future plans for a place to stay. They have food and blankets and are working with a caseworker. Report to be forwarded to Department of Human Services.
7:52 p.m. – Caller reported a deer hit and lying in the middle of the road, 3000 block of Main. Deer dispatched and lying in the bark dust in front of Hoy’s. Public Works notified.

10:23 a.m. – Caller reported an air compressor stolen from a barn, 28600 block of Liberty. Report taken.
11:16 a.m. – Caller was hunting at Big Lake and lost a .45-caliber 1911-style pistol. Loss valued at more than $700. Gun entered in law enforcement database system.
6:36 p.m. – Officer located clothing and miscellaneous items in front of the Police Department, 1950 Main St. Report taken for offensive littering.
8:10 p.m. – Caller reported a friend sold him a fake necklace, 700 block of Ninth. Report taken.
8:17 p.m. – Caller reported a potential theft and being a victim of harassment, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken.
8:34 p.m. – Hayward Solon Bellah II, 66, arrested for driving under the influence in single-vehicle crash, Main and Highway 228. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded because it was not drivable. Minor injury.
9:29 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle sitting at location since the day before, and a male and female appeared to be living in it, east of A&W. Officer located the vehicle on private property and advised occupants of ordinance. Subjects were having car trouble.
Sept. 27
4:50 p.m. – Caller reported a man sitting on the fog line shooting his rifle, 41800 block of North River. The caller indicated that the man was shooting back onto his own property at a target.
5:31 p.m. – Caller reported a man known to her was at her residence, 41900 block of North River. He wanted to speak with her, but she declined. When he left, he sprayed gravel over two vehicles.
Sept. 26
11:26 a.m. – Caller reported that his old landlord had all of his belongings moved out of his rental house while he was in the hospital. Deputy responded. He had been served an eviction notice but did not move out. They made arrangements for a third party to get belongings.
Sept. 25
6:42 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject had been drinking and threw the caller’s keys into the brush, 45600 block of Sunnyside. The caller could not find the keys. No action taken.
Sept. 24
4:11 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a truck , 2830 block of Highway 20. The vehicle was located at Waterloo Park at 11:57 p.m.
Sept. 23
8:29 a.m. – A truck was parked for several days three-fourths of a mile past Berlin Road on McDowell Creek Road. The registered told police he was hunting.
