September 25

1:24 a.m. – Michael Branton Jr., 44, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

1:32 a.m. – Winston Police located Andrew Jacob Justin Cartwright, 33, on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two original charges of criminal trespass.

8:56 a.m. – Brian Bachman, 48, of Sweet Home, listed as a transient, was issued a citation for a contempt of court warrant out of Sweet Home Municipal Court. He was asked to move along as his vehicle was blocking a CTC gate, 27900 block Scott Mountain Road.

9:20 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office located Brian Keith Bachman, 48, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of harassment.

9:41 a.m. – Caller reported a male stole candy, 621 Main, Thriftway. Officer responded, Earl Ryan Dodge, 26, cited and released for theft valued at $6.45 and trespassed from location.

10:20 a.m. – Caller reported a male tried to steal items and would like him trespassed, 610 Main, Dan-Dee Sales. Officer responded, Cameron Joseph Hackworth, 44, arrested for a parole violation and lodged at Linn County Jail. Also cited for a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.

2:35 p.m. – A fence was cut at 1400 24th, Sweet Home Public Works. Report taken, approximate damage $150.

2:37 p.m. – Caller reported his ex-wife’s father held her and her mother hostage and also choked the ex-wife, 1700 block of 12th. Officer received several conflicting statements, sent report to district attorney for consideration. Terra Sue Kopperud, 37, cited and released on a Lebanon warrant for a parole violation.

3:02 p.m. – Caller reported her son broke some of her things while she was out shopping. Report taken, value $45. Jonathan Warren, 26, cited and released for criminal mischief.

5:09 p.m. – Caller reported a male walking in traffic, 1300 block of Main. Officer contacted subject described, he was on the sidewalk and having his usual mental health issues but no one was around him.

6:38 p.m. – Caller reported a male just ran out of the store with a duffelbag full of stuff, Silver Dodge pickup was waiting outside, left westbound, 3041 Main, Hoy’s Hardware. Lebanon police notified, report taken, approximate value $550.

September 26

10:52 a.m. – Albany Police requested a warrant be served, 2200 block of Main, on Erik Von Gottsegen, 66, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

11:16 a.m. – Caller reported his license plate lost or stolen. Approximate value $50. 40300 block Highway 228. Report taken.

1:57 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbor drove slowly by her residence and made “finger pistols” and pretended to shoot her, 300 block of Pine. Officer responded, contacted neighbor who suffers from mental health issues. He agreed to stop interacting with the caller.

2:53 p.m. – Cody Michael Lobdell, 24, cited on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of heroin, theft, interfering with a peace officer, resisting arrest, attempting to commit a class C felony, assault on a peace officer, and possession of meth, 12th and Kalmia. Cited and released in the field.

5:05 p.m. – Caller entered an open CTC gate on the Green Peter 300 Line while scouting hunting areas. When she returned, the gate was locked. She was educated by deputy on CTC land use and where to look up current closures (which can be viewed at http://www.cascadetimber.com/updates).

5:16 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding whereabouts of the vehicle involved in the arsons and the possible occupants doing drugs, 54th and Main. Officer responded, located vehicle described in a different part of town. Contacted female occupant who denied reported activity.

3:21 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbors keep stalking her and taking photos of her, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer responded, contacted parties involved. No crimes being reported, neighbor denied taking photos. Caller advised of options.

3:55 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 31, cited and released on a Douglas County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, 22nd and Main.

6:24 p.m. – Albany Police served Ryan Joe Holley, 44, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.

7:20 p.m. – Caller reported the neighbor’s dog ran up on their porch and killed their cat, 500 block of Surrey. Report taken, citations pending.

8:40 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office served Shawn Michael Alan Hoggatt, 35, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.

11:21 p.m. – Caller reported a male in dark clothing walking down the middle of the street, carrying a flashlight looking in vehicles, 12th and Nandina. Officer contacted subject, who had lost his keys somewhere between Nandina and Tamarack. Caller advised.

September 27

5:04 a.m. – Caller reported the subject walked up to drive thru window at McDonald’s and cracked the plastic partition, 2000 Main. Report taken, incident connected to the next entry.

5:10 a.m. – Caller walked into 7/11 to use a phone. States he is staying at location on 2200 block of Nandina and subject is holding a female against her will. Upon arrival officer heard female screaming and made forced entry. Female said she was screaming because she was in fear of the caller. Bryce William McGowan, 26, cited on three Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended, as well as an Albany warrant for driving while suspended. Micaela Gabriela Horning, 27, cited on a Douglas County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of eluding police, reckless driving, and three counts of resisting arrest.

10:15 a.m. – Caller reported someone broke into the church, 1602 54th, Victory Faith Fellowship. Officer responded, report taken for burglary and criminal mischief. No items appear missing.

10:16 a.m. – Deputy responded to SOS alert from GPS. Located males involved in 26900 block of Dobbin Creek Road. All were fine. SOS unit activation was accidental.

2:20 a.m. – Caller reported a female refusing to leave her property, 4100 block of Main. Officer responded, contacted parties. Disagreement was over whether the female could bring a travel trailer onto the property. Female trespassed, no arrests.

1:12 p.m. – Vehicle posted for removal at 1st and Holley.

3:12 p.m. – Kyle Alexander Richards, 27, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of criminal trespass, credit card fraud, and three counts of theft. Cited and released from SHPD, 1950 Main.

6:14 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office served Lynette Irene Johnson, 41, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving while suspended.

6:47 p.m. – caller reported seeing a male on the railroad tracks swinging a propane tank around with a female sitting on the tracks. Officer checked area, unable to locate.

7:00 p.m. – Paul William Kizer, 35, cited for dog at large, 2100 block of Ames Creek.

7:19 p.m. – Deputy responded to motor vehicle collision in 42200 block North River Drive. Driver suffered “minor scrape” and was given a ride home. No property damage. Owner to tow. Report taken.

8:14 p.m. – Caller reported crab rings, propane tank and other items stolen from residence, 1200 block of 1st. Report taken.

10:33 p.m. – Taylor Ray Plummer, 27, cited and released for theft, Sweet Home High School.

September 28

12:39 a.m. – Caller reported two subjects standing on sidewalk looking into his window, 405 Oak Terrace. Caller stood in window and watched them, then they moved across the street but kept watching caller’s house. Officer contacted two people who live in the area and were standing on the sidewalk talking. No crimes or violations.

1:51 a.m. – Caller received call from Wells Fargo that she had 12 fraudulent charges on her credit card and then discovered her wallet is missing, 1300 block of 13th. Officer contacted caller, information documented.

4:52 a.m. – White Cadillac Seville, license plate 680EGW posted for removal, 300 block of Pine.

7:36 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office served Sher Lynn McDaniel, 56, on a Sweet Home warrant for theft of services.

9:17 a.m. – Oregon State Correctional Institute served David Justin Laylon, 50, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of attempted burglary.

10:17 a.m. – Vehicle bearing license plate 282KRD repossessed from location, 3100 block of Main.

11:48 a.m. – Caller reported someone was driving a riding a lawnmower down the street, pulling a passenger in a trailer, 600 block of Main. Officer responded, unable to locate.

3:04 p.m. – Caller reports an elderly female is lost and doesn’t know where she belongs, 2400 block of Main. Officer responded, family member arrived and took female home.

3:23 p.m. – Caller reported a female he has a restraining order on has sent him 80+ picture messages, 1800 block of Ames Creek. Report taken.

4:13 p.m. – Douglas County Sheriff’s Office located Kody Wayne Nunn, 31, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of disorderly conduct.

5:25 p.m. – Caller reported four goats killed and two injured by a dog, sometime between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. 27600 block Fern Ridge Road. Report taken.

9:23 p.m. – While on a traffic stop, officer cited Timothy Shehan for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless endangering, 12th and Nandina. Also cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and open container. Cited and released.

September 29

1:44 a.m. – Caller reported a male parked a vehicle in front of residence and left on foot, 3400 block of Juniper. Officer responded, contacted male who had parked and walked to a friend’s house to collect an item. Bryan Watts, 45, cited and released for driving while suspended and a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation.

2:12 a.m. – Caller flagged down an officer to report a stereo was taken out of vehicle and tires were flattened, 3500 block of Juniper. Report taken for unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, theft, and a criminal misdemeanor. Investigation ongoing.

4:45 a.m. – Washington County Jail cited Amy Leigh Barnes, 30, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft.

8:52 a.m. – Caller reported theft of gasoline, 1400 block 60th Avenue. Value estimated between $70 and $140. Under investigation. Report taken.

11:06 a.m. – Caller reported a male hitting and throwing rocks at a female, 28100 block of Riggs Hill Rd. Officer responded, contacted female who stated it was verbal only except her throwing and breaking dishes.

1:42 p.m. – Caller reported he went to check on his neighbor and it appears he is not breathing, 3400 block of Juniper. Officer responded, report taken.

2:51 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked at neighbor’s house and doesn’t know if it belongs there, 1400 block of 9th. Officer responded, contacted female who is having car issues, was trying to turn around and her car died. Officer assisted in moving her vehicle.

3:20 p.m. – Caller reported items stolen from their barn, 27500 block Fern Ridge Road. Further details not included in Sheriff’s log. Report taken.

7:53 p.m. – Report taken for attempting to elude, 1266 15th, ATF services. Vehicle seized pending search warrant.

10:16 p.m. – Callers reported men behind library messing with postal vehicles and boxes. Officer responded, contacted male who works for pressure washer contractor and is cleaning the vehicle.

September 30

9:47 a.m. – Caller reported a male walking with a chainsaw yelling at traffic, 1600 block of Long. Officer responded, contacted male who was upset over issues with his ex-girlfriend. He has calmed down and is going to a friend’s house with his belongings.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported needles and personal property left at location, 1100 block of 12th. Officer responded, located needles and disposed of them in sharps container, other items are garbage.

11:26 a.m. – Caller reported his son punched him in the face, 1100 block of 55th. Officer responded, report taken.

12:05 p.m. – Caller reported a male broke a flag pole and threw it away aggressively, 5300 block of Main. Officer responded, contacted parties. Old flag pole removed, but flag treated properly. Nothing criminal or civil.

1:17 p.m. – Franklin Luster Cutbirth, 39, cited and released on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal mischief, SHPD, 1950 Main.

1:21 p.m. – Oregon Department of Corrections located a male with a warrant. Kristopher Ray Moak, 34, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving.

1:24 p.m. – Albany Police located Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 57, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving.

1:41 p.m. – Caller reported a male is yelling at a female and causing a disturbance, 400 block of Holley. Officer responded, Allen Dale Ensley, 31, arrested for domestic violence – harassment. Booked and lodged at Linn County Jail.

2:05 p.m. – Caller reported a female admitted to the caller that her boyfriend stole his stuff, 415 Holley, Church of Nazarene. Officer responded, report taken, approximate loss of value $1300.

2:10 p.m. – Caller came into police department to turn in a fake $20 bill, given to cashier last night, 1980 Main, Bi-Mart. Officer responded, report taken, fake bill seized.

3:57 p.m. – Caller reported accidentally locking child in her car, 1300 block of 1st. Officer responded, entry gained with no apparent damage, juvenile was only in vehicle for a few minutes and is okay.

4:44 p.m. – Caller reported ducks, chickens and goats in the roadway, 17th and Cedar. Officer responded, spoke with juvenile at residence animals belong to, will forward info to code enforcement.

7:39 p.m. – Caller reported a male kicking at cars and lying in roadway, appears intoxicated, 1300 block of Nandina. Officer responded, male evaluated by medics. Refused transport, will be heading to a family member nearby residence.

8:29 p.m. – Albany Police cited Ross Allen Scott, 27, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.

October 1

2:49 a.m. – Caller reported seeing a snapchat story of juveniles drinking alcohol at location, 4900 block of Mimosa. Officer responded, contacted parent at location, who said the juvenile had friends over earlier, but no alcohol was involved.

5:15 a.m. – Caller reported a window is shattered and the power to the location is out, 604 Main, Dutch Bros. Officer responded, report taken for attempted burglary and criminal mischief.

7:13 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle just drove into the ditch, Poplar and Foster Dam Rd. Officer responded, contacted operator of vehicle who has someone on the way to assist her. No injuries, minimal damage to vehicle, no damage to property.

9:13 a.m. – Deputy located transient camp set up on shore of Foster Lake near Highway 20 Milepost 32. Campsite was clean. Advised occupants to move on.

11:10 a.m. – Natalie Marie Deshazer, 31, arrested for a restraining order violation, SHPD. Booked and lodged at Linn County Jail.

12:03 p.m. – Caller reported the manager is harassing him over the mask policy, Bi-Mart, 1980 Main. Officer responded, contacted both parties, caller agreed to comply with store policies from now on.

1:22 p.m. – Loris David Whitton, 65, turned himself in on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of heroin/meth, SHPD.

2:21 p.m. – Caller reported her ex is trying to contact her through her friends, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken for a restraining order violation.

4:20 p.m. – Plates bearing license number ZWV510 and registration stickers seized, 700 block of 9th.

7:07 p.m. – Caller reported missing person, 38400 block Glass Street. When deputies arrived, they suggested that the caller return home and check to see if the missing person had returned while caller was gone. Family found the missing person at their residence.

8:38 p.m. – Vehicle bearing license plate 680EGW towed by Lloyd Rice, 300 block of Pine.

10:26 p.m. – Albany police cited Jeremy Michael Hicks, 40, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.

11:59 p.m. – Oregon State Police located Jaycee Ryan McClurg, 33, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

October 2

7:00 a.m. – Caller reported someone is trespassing on his property, 6300 Lakepoint. Officer responded, contacted male who said he was just enjoying the view. Male trespassed at caller request and agreed to leave the area.

8:48 a.m. – Caller reported someone stole her paddleboard out of her car, 1700 block of Long. Officer responded, report taken for unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and theft. Approximate loss value at $450.

9:16 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog came onto her property and killed two of her chickens, 2000 block of Ames Creek. Officer responded, info noted. Unknown where the dog came from or who it belonged to.

12:18 p.m. – Caller reported her wallet was stolen while she was at a yard sale, 1000 block Epps Lane. Report taken.

2:23 p.m. – Caller reported a female began yelling at her and threatened to kill her, Sweet Home Farmer’s Market. Female took off when officers arrived and was still being vocal, which is normal behavior for her.

2:41 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor trespassed on the caller’s property to post signs on his fence, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer responded, report taken for criminal mischief. Signs seized as evidence.

6:01 p.m. – Caller reported her son hit her in the face, took her purse and money and left on foot. Officer took a report for harassment.

6:05 – Caller reported her vehicle was damaged while parked at Thriftway, 621 Main. Report taken, damage $500.

7:17 p.m. – Caller reported the neighbor’s pit bull jumped their fence and is being aggressive, 1100 block of 37th. Dog is loose on his own property, never came into caller’s property but is potentially aggressive. Left a phone message for the owner.

8:04 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office cited Austin Alan Ross, 22, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of attempting to elude.

9:33 p.m. – Christopher Michael Pritchard, 32, booked, cited and released for possession of meth and possession of heroin, also cited for driving uninsured and speeding 43 in a 25, SHPD, 1950 Main.

11:22 p.m. – Caller reported her ex-boyfriend is high on meth and has been yelling and threatening her, caller is currently at a nearby residence, 900 block of Poplar. Officer responded, contacted both parties, verbal only over living arrangements, female will spend the night at neighbor’s. Patrick Thomas Thornhill, 45, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of meth possession.
