12:22 a.m. – While on patrol, an officer located a vehicle fully engulfed in fire at the Sweet Home High School tennis courts. Report taken for arson. The vehicle was used Thursday evening during the annual homecoming bonfire. Students had taken turns pounding on the vehicle that night with sledgehammers.
11:41 a.m. – Ryan Logan Binks, 22, arrested on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, McMinnville. Cited and released.
7:16 p.m. – Kristopher Scott Clark, 23, arrested on Lebanon warrant for two counts of third-degree theft; Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of identity theft and second-degree forgery; Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of identity theft, second-degree theft and second-degree forgery; and Lincoln County warrant for possession of a controlled substance, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. 3:14 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree theft, 1300 block of Tamarack.
4:11 p.m. – Barney Lewis McAlister, 42, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for manufacturing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school,1237 Nandina St.
7:55 p.m. – Joey Dawayne Persinger, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court for failure to appear (owes eight days in jail) and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of probation violation and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1200 block of 15th. 8:36 p.m. – Zona Mae Carper, 43, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 12th and Nandina. Cited and released.
8:38 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 12th and Nandina.

1:01 p.m. – Caller reported that several of her son’s belongings were stolen while at the skate park, 700 block of 27th. Report taken. Loss valued at $40.
1:55 p.m. – Adam John Kolka, 36, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of second-degree robbery and cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, 1237 Nandina St. Cited and released.
3:34 p.m. – Caller reported a lot overgrown with weeds, 700 block of 29th.
6 p.m. – officers assisted medics with an intoxicated female, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Female transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for overdose.
8:05 p.m. – Tiffany Ann Persinger, 31, cited and released in field and Samuel James Persinger, 36, arrested on Jackson County warrants for violting a conditional release agreement on original charge of second-degree child neglect. Samuel Persinger transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a juvenile boy walking down the street by himself, and an adult female he was with headed the opposite direction. Officer responded. The child sneaked out of the house and was counseled for his actions.
8:12 p.m. – Caller reported an overdose, 4800 block of 48th. Medics transported female to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

12:45 a.m. – Shane William Wells, 38, cited for driving while suspended, 43534 Wiley Creek Road.
4:07 a.m. – Albany recovered a vehicle stolen from Sweet Home.
9 a.m. – Marie Therese Ramos, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of theft by receiving, 201 Nandina St. Cited and released.
10:22 a.m. – Caller reported subjects under Weddle Bridge, 877 14th Ave. Officer unable to locate anyone on or under the bridge.
1:25 p.m. – Caller reported a two-vehicle crash, 5500 block of Osage. No injuries. No citations. Drivers exchanged information.

8:55 p.m. – Caller reported a white van has been parked for a few previous nights, and a male was sleeping inside it. Officer contacted a male and advised of the complaint. He said he was staying in the vehicle near his fiance’s residence and would be staying in his vehicle for a couple of nights while he located an apartment in Sweet Home.
9:28 p.m. – Officer found a bicycle, 2400 block of Main. Placed bike in found property.

8:43 a.m. – Caller reported a stolen bench grinder, 20 gallons of fuel, 6 gallons of motor oil and 40 gallons of hydraulic fluid worth a total of $639, 28200 block of Highway 20. Report taken.
9:39 a.m. – Caller reported his daughter’s cell phone was stolen at a football game, Husky Field. Information noted.
10:59 a.m. – Caller reported she was advised by a female who was leaving the park that there was a male subject using a needle down by the river, 1700 block of 11th. Officer responded and contacted a male, who denied the activity.
12:06 p.m. – Caller reported that subjects at the little park were being belligerent, 12th and Nandina. Officer responded. Subjects left prior to arrival. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate.
1:37 p.m. – Caller reported an RV parked at location for about two weeks, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer posted vehicle for removal.
2:09 p.m. – Cheyanna Morse, 23, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft (owes five days in jail) and Lebanon justice warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 1711 Ninth Ave. Cited and released.

2:29 p.m. – Callers reported a transient lying on the sidewalk in front of Sweet Home Inn and were concerned about his welfare, 800 block of Long. Officer responded. Male was intoxicated. Male given courtesy transport to son’s residence.
3:08 p.m. – Lawrence Leroy Walker, 57, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 520 14th Ave. Cited and released.
4:26 p.m. – Nathan Olson, 24, arrested for three counts of violating a restraining order, 47300 block of Highway 20.
8:32 p.m. – Caller reported a cat was run over and needed to be dispatched, 2400 block of Main. Officer responded. Animal dispatched.
8:46 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her vehicle and stole her son’s skateboard, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park. Report taken. Loss valued at $188.
10:41 p.m. – James Joseph Cripe, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon. Cited and released.
Oct. 4
3:27 p.m. – Paul Rupp, 65, arrested for boating under the influence, Sunnyside Park. Caller reported a capsized boat and an elderly male sitting on a rock. Boat operator was trolling for trout when he hit an exposed rock. His flat-bottomed boat went up onto the rock, causing the back of the boat to fill with water and sinking it. The operator was able to climb onto the rock. He was uninjured.
