Oct. 16

11:16 a.m. – Caller reported a male threatening her via text, 200 block of West Holley. Information noted.

1:11 p.m. – Caller reported that a female took her credit card, put it in her name and charges items on it, 3900 block of Osage. Information noted. Investigation continuing.

Oct. 15

5:46 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a welder and magnetic drill, 1400 block of 47th. Report taken.

11:02 a.m. – Tulsa Blue Harden, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

11:03 a.m. – Caller reported a male was kicking a dog and dragging it down the sidewalk, 1600 block of 12th. Caller was advised where the male lived via Facebook. Officer contacted the male, who denied the complaint. He said he had tripped on his own clothing. The dog appeared healthy and happy.

4:01 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a noise in the attic, like someone was moving around, 1200 block of Second. Officer checked the attic. Everything was clear.

4:05 p.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 35, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1203 Long St., All Star Pizza.

6:55 p.m. – Caller reported that a male jumped out from behind a dumpster and started cussing at her, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer contacted the male, who said the caller had scared him with her dog.

8:17 p.m. – David Wayne Samson, 55, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, west of Goodwill. Cited and released.

9:50 p.m. – Jacob Paul Hayes, 31, arrested for felony fourth-degree assault in the presence of children (domestic violence), strangulation (domestic violence) and interfering with making a report, 1202 Clark Mill Road. Caller had reported her husband for beating her up. She had a bloody nose.

Oct. 14

12:17 a.m. – Caller reported that a trespassed ex took things that were not his, 2300 block of Jefferson. Information noted.

3:24 a.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1266 15th Ave., Wells Fargo Bank. Cited and released.

4:01 a.m. – Samantha Christine Mansell, 24, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle in a ditch, Highway 20 in the Narrows. Officer contacted the driver, who was trying to make a U-turn and ended up in the ditch when the truck ran out of fuel. The driver was able to get the truck out of the ditch.

11:32 a.m. – Chaylan Dale Tosta, 34, turned in himself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Benton County Jail. Cited and released.

12:30 p.m. – William Leon Pace III, 40, cited for no license and arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of felon in possession of a firearm, 4200 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:12 p.m. – Ian Alan Nolan, 26, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief, Marion County Jail.

Oct. 13

10:51 a.m. – Caller reported wooden ramps blocking the street sweeper, 1100 block of Eighth. Referred to code enforcement.

10:54 a.m. – Caller reported a constantly barking dog, 2700 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.

12:47 p.m. – Caller reported a student who smelled like marijuana in the office, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Student provided a valid medical marijuana card. Discipline to be handled at school level.

3:47 p.m. – Jody Lawrence Maruffo, 38, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

4:05 p.m. – Austin Wayne Sater, 27, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct; Linn County warrant for failure to appear on two counts of driving while suspended, two counts of driving uninsured, three citations, four counts of failure to appear and false swearing; and Philomath warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

5:28 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

7:22 p.m. – Geremy George Byzewski, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, Lebanon. Cited and released.

9:47 p.m. – Officer located a tent in a tree, 1199 10th Ave., Key Bank. Placed in found property.

10:01 p.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene. Cited and released. Call was a late entry into the log from Oct. 12.

10:04 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash, 100 block of Holley. Caller had reported a vehicle in a ditch. Caller helped occupants out of the vehicle. They were uninjured.

Oct. 12

1:27 a.m. – Richard Lee Kintz-ley, 27, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of heroin, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:51 a.m. – Caller asked that someone check the area round his house because his head hurts from “them” cooking it with radioactive waves, 28400 block of Liberty.

6:07 a.m. – Caller reported two subjects dressed in black with white painted faces and sticks, 1900 block of Willow. Caller said they were walking in the street. Officer unable to locate.

10:19 a.m. – Todd Darin Strickland, 47, cited for speeding, Highway 228 at the city limits.

11:13 a.m. – Caller found several stripped bike frames abandoned, 2200 block of Long. Frames placed in found property.

11:33 a.m. – Caller found mail and an EBT card, 22nd and Long. Placed in found property.

12:41 p.m. – Caller reported receiving fraudulent checks in the mail, 6200 block of Main. Information noted.

12:43 p.m. – Leah Marie Hammock, 28, turned in herself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St. Cited and released.

3:23 p.m. – Terry Lynn Ballweber, 52, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth, second-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass, 1131 29th Ave. Cited and released.

3:45 p.m. – Caller turned in a package she found, Old Holley Road. Placed in found property.

3:51 p.m. – Caller reported an ongoing issue with a dog getting out, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Owner advised of consequences.

4:17 p.m. – Caller turned in a bicycle he found, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Placed in found property.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole sunglasses from her car while it was in her garage, 4900 block of Osage. Information noted.

7:44 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 4900 block of Locust. Officer assisted with exchange of information. Callers had reported a vehicle hitting a log truck.

11:47 p.m. – Terry Lynne Ohmer, 54, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Elm and Mountain View.

Oct. 11

6:35 a.m. – Caller reported a male subject digging in the dumpster screaming about God and AIDS, 3137 Hwy. 20, Trailer Villa. Officer contacted the male, who cleaned up his mess. He was warned for disorderly conduct and advised to leave the park.

7:19 a.m. – Brandon Chad Johnson, 29, cited for failure to stop for a school bus, 45th and Main.

8:27 a.m. – Caller reported a male lying in the road, 2400 block of Main. Officer contacted a male lying on the sidewalk. He got up and moved along. He refused a courtesy transport.

9 a.m. – Caller reported a male crawling on the sidewalk and was concerned he might get hurt, 3000 block of Main. Officer contacted a male who was not in the roadway. He again refused a courtesy transport to his residence. Officer reminded him to stay on the sidewalk.

1:03 p.m. – Caller reported a homeless camp behind a building and issues with homeless going through the property, 900 block of Nandina. Officer located two active camps but unable to locate anyone. Officer left business cards with notes informing campers they were trespassing and needed to vacate the property. Caller advised to call police when people are at the camp.

1:11 p.m. Caller reported a cat carrier stolen, 4800 block of 48th. Report taken. Loss valued at $20.

1:17 p.m. – Caller reported sex abuse, 29400 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

1:22 p.m. – Caller reported mail with a check inside was stolen, 1500 block of 47th. Report taken.

2:03 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole his mail, 800 block of 50th.

2:39 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile shooting at cans with a pellet gun in his backyard, 1200 block of 41st. Officer located an adult male using a pellet gun. Officer advised him of city ordinance prohibiting it.

3:31 p.m. – Skylar James Samson, 26, arrested for second-degree forgery and second-degree attempted theft, 1428 Main St., LinnCo Credit Union. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a male trying to cash a forged check. Cited and released.

4:35 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog constantly barking, 2700 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.

4:56 p.m. – Caller reported that she never received her ID from the DMV and she had heard that there had been mail theft in her area, 42900 block of Green River. Report taken.

5:21 p.m. – Caller reported mail stolen on or about Sept. 28, 1300 block of Second. Information noted.

7:13 p.m. – Caller reported an unsafe tree, Nandina and Westwood. Referred to code enforcement.

8:56 p.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 36, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

Oct. 10

11:22 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a loud explosion, with flames showing and black smoke, 26th and Long. Officer assisted firefighters and located a large burn pile.

12:05 p.m. – Caller reported a huge boulder in the middle of the road in the Dogwood area of Quartzville Road.

1:04 p.m. – Caller found a wallet, 3000 block of Main. Placed in found property.

2:59 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole a check and cashed it, 400 block of 17th. Report taken.

3:56 p.m. – Shelby Lynne Wymetalek, 21, cited for careless driving, driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle in two-vehicle crash, Fern Ridge and Highway 228. No injuries. Officer counseled a driver and passenger for using marijuana.

4:24 p.m. – Caller found two stray dogs on Wiley Creek. Dogs placed in kennel.

5:57 p.m. – Caller found a student identification card, 1000 block of Main. Placed in found property.

6:19 p.m. – Caller reported that a dog bit a child, 4600 block of Main. Information noted. Owner of dog agreed to quarantine order.

Oct. 9

3:41 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog jumped over the fence and defecated in her yard then jumped back into his own yard, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer spoke with and warned the owner for keeping a dog as a public nuisance.

4:33 p.m. – Caller found a checkbook, 4400 block of Main. Placed in found property.

5:19 p.m. – Caller reported a male dog wandering the streets, 49th and Maple. Dog placed in kennel, and Animal Control notified.

5:21 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor dumped motor oil all over blackberry bushes, 5600 block of 55th. Referred to code enforcement.

5:37 p.m. – Caller found mail in various places around town. Placed in found property.

11:12 p.m. – Shane Curran Moore, 42, arrested on Marion County warrant for hit and run, property, 22nd and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Oct. 7

6:40 a.m. – Caller reported for sale next door had lights on and people inside, 6000 block of Paddock. Report taken for trespass.

Oct. 5

6:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into the caller’s shed, 1000 block of Turbyne. Report taken.
