Sept. 14

12:46 a.m. – Kenneth Morris, 25, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 4610 Main st. Linn County had requested an officer respond to location where a female had been punched in the stomach by a male.

2:25 a.m. – Caller reported a possible theft, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken.

9:59 a.m. – Caller reported a female in a golf cart on the sidewalk, 13th near Santiam Feed. Officer responded. A male was trying to get his mother to a doctor’s appointment. He was advised that it is unlawful to drive the vehicle on city streets or sidewalks. He would safely take the vehicle home.

11:14 a.m. – Caller reported suspicious area in Hobart Natural Area. It looked like someone had been living there in a camp and then vacated, leaving property and garbage. Parks Department notified. Bicycle seized as found property.

Sept. 13

5:57 a.m. – Caller reported fuel possibly stolen from a vehicle, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Information noted.

1:20 p.m. – Robert Gary Mills, 35, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of strangulation, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:42 p.m. – During the previous night, caller reported, a male knocked on her window and asked for money, 1540 Main St., Safeway. When she told him no, he started cursing and hitting her vehicle as she was trying to leave. Information noted.

7:43 p.m. – Julia Rose Treitsch, 28, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, 2400 block of Main. Officer reported seeing a female jump in front of a pickup truck.

10:37 p.m. – Sha-Marie Lynn Wall, 31, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, 2440 Long St.

Sept. 12

7:24 a.m. – Caller reported finding a weapon in a vehicle, 1801 Main St., All Star Auto Repair. Item seized and placed in evidence. Investigation continuing.

8:54 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into the can storage area, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. Report taken for burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Loss of property valued at $125, and damage valued at $12.

2:11 p.m. – Caller reported her son’s bicycle was stolen two days earlier, and they just located it, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. The bicycle was resting on a pole on the side of the road. Bicycle returned to caller. Caller did not want to pursue charges.

4:23 p.m. – Brian Clayton Braught, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence and failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Linn County. Cited and released.

4:31 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle, Shea Point. Report taken.

8:26 p.m. – David Lea Hacker, 63, arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving and cited for driving on the highway divider, 1000 block of Main. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded. Caller had reported a black Dodge pickup hitting the median and keep driving.

Sept. 11

7:26 a.m. – Caller reported a pile of garbage with needles in it in front of his house, 1000 block of 14th. Officer responded and seized the needles for disposal.

7:28 a.m. – Caller reported her son’s vehicle stolen from the front porch, 1900 block of 18th. Report taken. Loss valued at $40.

8:05 a.m. – Caller reported that a male with a restraining order against him is contacting her. Report taken.

9:19 a.m. – Caller reported a camp trailer abandoned on the street, 1200 block of 49th. Vehicle tagged for removal.

9:22 a.m. – Caller reported her car stolen, 900 block of Nandina. Report taken.

10:30 a.m. – Caller turned in a black and green Motorola cell phone he found in the street, 1000 block of 43rd. Seized as found property.

2:24 p.m. – Caller reported trash building up along the fence, 1200 block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

3:08 p.m. – Christina Sue Evans, 39, arrested on Marion County warrant for probation violation on original charge of fourth-degree assault, 1400 Nandina st. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:12 p.m. – Matthew Charles Nill, 32, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1200 block of Nandina.

6:01 p.m. – David Allen Israel, 45, arrested for fourth-degree assault, 1400 60th Ave. Cited and released.

8:06 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a cell phone, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. Report taken.

Sept. 10

7:58 a.m. – Calvin Alvin Ames, 49, turned in himself at Linn County Jail on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief. Cited and released.

9:49 a.m. – Terry Lynn Ballweber, 51, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 2230 Main St. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

3:43 p.m. – Sheree Lynn Daniels, 63, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County. Cited and released.

3:50 p.m. – Caller reported that the neighbor’s blackberries were going to knock over the fence, 2200 block of Long. Officer spoke with the registered owner, who agreed to have them cut back by Tuesday.

4:24 p.m. – Caller reported her debit card, fuel card, gift cards and cash were taken from her wallet, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Report taken.

5:22 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her residence, 1100 block of Mountain View. Report taken.

6:08 p.m. – Mitchell Allen Fowler, 23, arrested on state warrant for probation violation and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Ninth and railroad tracks. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:09 p.m. – Julia Rose Trietsch, 28, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited, held for detox and released.

Sept. 9

9:47 a.m. – Rob Thomas Boettcher, 46, cited for no seatbelt, 15th and Main.

9:51 a.m. – Melissa Ann Dewar, 42, cited for driving while suspended and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a sidewalk, 1100 block of Long.

10:07 a.m. – Kirstin Marie Mengore, 43, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Linn County.

10:31 a.m. – Steven Dean Sloan, 63, cited for driving while suspended and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, across from the Fire Hall.

10:50 a.m. – Zoe Jane Links, 16, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian, driving outside of provisions and failure to carry proof of insurance, Sankey Park parking lot.

10:56 a.m. – Scott Kevin Heinz, 28, cited for driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance, A&W.

11:16 a.m. – Nelita T. Thayer, 52, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and using a mobile communications device while driving, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

11:22 a.m. – Elaine Cherie Evans, 52, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, 1500 block of Main.

11:37 a.m. – Joseph Robert Rasmussen, 18, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a sidewalk, 1200 block of Long.

11:53 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle leaving without paying for fuel, 2295 Main St. Information noted. Office would attempt to contact registered owner of vehicle.

12:11 p.m. – Christopher James Melcher, 18, cited for failure to wear a seatbelt, 18th off Long.

12:12 p.m. – Beau Allen Rogers, 26, cited of operating a vehicle while using a mobile communications device, 1800 block of Long.

12:30 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of personal items worth $628 from her mother, 4600 block of Long. Report taken.

12:47 p.m. – Caller reported a female stole $200 from him, 1400 block of 22nd. Report taken.

2:08 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a long board from Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave. Report taken.

2:32 p.m. – Caller reported a subject left without paying for fuel, 2295 Main St. Report taken.

4:13 p.m. – Caller reported a female ran her vehicle through her garage and into her kitchen, 500 block of 5th Avenue. Officer assisted. Minimal damage to vehicle. Substantial damage to house. No citations. No injuries.

4:16 p.m. – Caller reported employees witnessing a male going through vehicles 25 to 30 minutes earlier, 4432 Main St. Employees attempted to contact the subject, and he ran off. Report taken. Officer located a tent site on the property as well.

5:01 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her tenant’s house, 500 block of Ironwood. Report taken. Loss valued at $4,253.

6:56 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a debit card from her vehicle, 4600 block of Kalmia. Report taken.

9:01 p.m. – Caller reported that a male stole shoes, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

9:46 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole his ash tray and plants, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $8.

11:52 p.m. – Shaw Jerred Valentine, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Eagle Point. Cited and released.

Sept. 8

9:23 a.m. – Andrew Wayne Volkers, 34, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, 1950 Main St., Sweet home Police Department. Cited and released.

12:15 p.m. – Caller reported blackberry vines growing over the sidewalk, Live Oak. Officer responded and took photos. He will attempt to locate owner of the property.

12:40 p.m. – Caller reported marijuana growing in sight of the public, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded and advised male of the violation.

5:44 p.m. – Caller reported that a bicycle has been sitting outside next to his driveway for a couple of days, 1200 block of 44th. Bicycle seized as found property.

6:43 p.m. – Scheri Jene Oliver, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Linn County. Cited and released.

10:04 p.m. – Joshua Clinton Edwards, 26, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 1500 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:37 p.m. – Officer located a white crystalline substance on a prisoner, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Investigation continuing.

Sept. 7

9:49 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into containers near the wood shop, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,050 in property and $50 in damage.

11:09 a.m. – Caller reported several syringes on the ground, 400 block of Highway 228. Seized for disposal.

11:10 a.m. – Caller reported being threatened by her 11-year-old stepson at Sunnyside Park. Report taken.

11:23 a.m. – Shawn Michael Gali, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two original counts of third-degree theft, 12th and Nandina. Cited and released.

1:42 p.m. – Caller reported that her neighbors have 13 cats and are using the caller’s yard as a litterbox, 500 block of Juniper. Information noted. Investigation continuing.

2:23 p.m. – Anthony Justin Zib, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

8:01 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into the garage and stole a weed eater, 1300 block of Tamarack. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

10:22 p.m. – Thomas Wayne Freeman, 46, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two original charges of third-degree theft, Clackamas County. Cited and released.

Sept. 6

12:27 a.m. – Caller reported her dog was hit by a car and killed, 42400 block of North River. Report taken.

8:28 a.m. – Caller reported a dark blue canopy taken, 900 block of Mountain View. Report taken. Loss valued at $900.

3:05 p.m. – Caller reported his dog got out, and the neighbors gave it away, 28100 block of Scott Mountain.

3:39 p.m. – Travis Trent Stach-Sells, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and possession of meth, 12th and Main. Cited and released.

8:55 p.m. – Gary Gean Townsend, 33, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth. Cited and released.

9:26 p.m. – Caller reported a female is covered in blood and stated that her boyfriend punched himself, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken for domestic violence fourth-degree assault.

Sept. 5

5:14 p.m. – Jared Michael Elkins, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree criminal mischief, Corvallis. Cited and released.

8:14 p.m. – Brandon Scott Schatz, 26, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation and Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of fourth-degree assault (owes five days in jail), 1015 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:26 p.m. – Caller reported that a man pulled into the caller’s driveway and threatened to kill and hit everyone, 42400 block of North River. He left but kept driving back and forth.

Sept. 4

12:11 a.m. – Caller reported that the neighbors’ goats and sheep keep getting into a yard, 1000 block of North River Dr., and upsetting the dogs.

Sept. 3

7:29 p.m. – Caller said there were a couple of dogs running around and howling in the woods behind her home in the 24300 block of West Brush Creek Rd. They were scaring her animals.
