9:22 a.m. – Athena Lacie Noble, 29, cited for driving while suspended and failure to wear seatbelt (juvenile passenger), 15th and Nandina.

10:12 a.m. – Vernon Richard Tunnell III, 31, cited for failure to wear seatbelt, 12th and railroad tracks.

11:03 a.m. – Caller reported that someone punched a hole in the bedroom door, 2200 block of Long. Report taken. Damage estimated at $65.

11:17 a.m. – Thomas Alvin Peck, 48, cited for operating a vehicle while using a mobile communications device, Main and 60th.

11:32 a.m. – Caller reported a theft at Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken.

11:49 a.m. – Rebecca Ann Long, 33, cited for no license; Donald Dean Long II, 23, cited for failure to wear seatbelt; and Jodeanna Leeanna Wilkinson, 25, cited for failure to wear seatbelt, Main and Clark Mill.

12:10 p.m. – Jesse Lane Davis, 19, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1237 Nandina St. Cited and released.

12:26 p.m. – Jacob Barton O’Bryant, 36, cited for failure to wear seatbelt, scale shack, Highway 20.

12:46 p.m. – Shain Lamont Thompson, 71, and Darlene Mae Thompson, 74, cited for failure to wear seatbelt, Main and 22nd.

12:51 p.m. – Jeff Lee Autry, 33, cited for failure to wear seatbelt, Main and 13th.

9:07 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of fishing rods, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Rods valued at $380.

9:30 a.m. – Caller reported finding keys in the planter at Safeway a week earlier, 1540 Main St. Placed in found property.

4:17 p.m. – Reta Elizabeth Braaten, 70, cited for failure to obey traffic control device and failure to renew registration in two-vehicle crash, 23rd and Main. Second driver was Christine Nicole Killian, 28. No injuries.

4:44 p.m. – Angie Phyllis Nohrenberg, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of fourth-degree assault, 4207 Main St. Cited and released.

4:44 p.m. – Caller reported a burglary, 1800 block of River. Report taken.

7:04 p.m. – Caller reported a cell phone taken from her vehicle, Ninth and Poplar. Report taken. Phone worth $200.

7:18 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke out the window of a car parked at 1306 Main St. Report taken.

8:27 p.m. – Caller reported a male tried to claim Lottery winnings that have already been claimed, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. Report taken.

10:44 p.m. – Caller reported a male walking down the road with four bicycles, 700 block of Long. Officer contacted a male who was not aware of bikes being stolen. Officer would try to contact the registered owner of the bikes.

Aug. 30

4:09 a.m. – Joshua Kelly Whitmore, 30, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, 201 Nandina St. Caller had reported finding a man in her son’s bed. A male went into the location and passed out in bed.

8:26 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her son’s vehicle during the night and stole multiple items worth $712, 4800 block of 48th. Report taken.

1:56 p.m. – Joshua Kelly Whitmore, 30, arrested for driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person, Highway 20 and Pleasant Valley. Caller had reported a driver who could barely stand was seen getting into a vehicle with a bottle of whiskey.

3:23 p.m. – Caller reported a male had been seen walking into the woods north of the Elks Lodge and is concerned there may be a homeless camp set up there. Officer located what might be a camp. Linn County Sheriff’s Office advised.

8:22 p.m. – Caller reported former renters came to get their belongings from location, kicked in the door and did some damage, 2400 block of Main. Report taken.

9:24 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking nonstop day and night, 1700 block of Grape. Officer contacted owner, who put the dog inside.

10:23 p.m. – Micheelle Marie Franklin, 25, cited for no license, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s.

Aug. 29

5:47 a.m. – Caller reported a male just beat her up, end of 18th Avenue. Report taken.

8:01 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into Discovery Electronics, 1400 block of Poplar. Report taken.

9:13 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported that a black Honda Civic just hit fire apparatus at the scene of a motor vehicle collision at milepost 7 on Highway 228. The vehicle continued east without stopping. Officer stopped vehicle at Highway 20 and Clark Mill and stood by until Oregon State Police arrived.

9:45 a.m. – Caller reported that someone just ran out of the store with a case of beer and some soda worth $45, 1540 Main St. Report taken.

9:59 a.m. – Officer located a backpack and wallet, 1200 block of 4900. Placed in found property.

10:07 a.m. – Corey Brandon Ford, 23, cited for driving while suspended, 1700 block of Main.

10:20 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a 10-foot windmill yard ornament, 300 block of 12th. Report taken. Valued at about $50.

11:03 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle worth $150, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken.

1:01 p.m. – Motor vehicle collision with lane blockage, 4400 block of Main. No injuries. Report taken. No citations. Damage estimated at greater than $1,500.

2:26 p.m. – Caller reported a package taken from the 6800 block of Main. Report taken. Value estimated at $297.

10:52 p.m. – Julie Anne Carver, 35, arrested on state warrant for parole violation on original charges of sexual assault and second-degree rape, 1890 Kalmia St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Aug. 28

2:09 a.m. – Mason William Monroe, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

8:26 a.m. – Caller reported people living in an RV in a backyard, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Referred to code enforcement.

8:35 a.m. – Caller reported people living in a travel trailer, 2300 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.

9:15 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass and open storage, 2400 block of Harding. Referred to code enforcement.

1:23 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of her wallet two days earlier, 4900 block of Maple. Report taken.

2:04 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor letting his dog out of his yard, and the dog was killing cats, 1100 block of 24th. Officer contacted dog owner and reminded him of the consequences of not keeping his dogs secured.

2:17 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen bicycle, 300 block of 12th. Report taken. Bike valued at $100.

6:33 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a backpack full of her property, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Stolen property valued at about $295.

Aug. 27

6:58 a.m. – Caller reported a domestic violence incident that occurred a couple of months earlier, 500 block of Mountain View. Report taken.

7:37 a.m. – Caller reported medication stolen from his house, 5300 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.

10:02 a.m. – Caller reported mail stolen from her mailbox, 2200 block of Long. Report taken.

11:38 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 1800 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.

2:07 p.m. – Caller reported a male threatened him two days earlier, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park. Report taken for second-degree theft. Value of loss estimated at $80.

2:14 p.m. – Caller reported a van turned into her from Circle K, and the caller had to swerve into orange cones on the road to avoid being hit. Officer responded and contacted a female driver who said she didn’t see the other vehicle until too late. She apologized.

7:07 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle in the bushes, 3200 block of Main. Bicycle placed in found property.

8:25 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking all day long, 300 block of Seventh. Officer spoke with owner of dog and advised him of penalties if the dog continues to bark.

Aug. 26

2:33 a.m. – Officer located a picnic table on fire, Wiley Creek Park. Firefighters extinguished the fire. Corps of Engineers informed.

10:05 a.m. – Darell Paul Vasquez, 55, arrested for harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct, 300 Hwy. 228. Cited and released.

12:01 p.m. – Caller reported a driver leaving without paying for fuel, 2295 Main St., Fast Gas. Information noted. Officer would contact other parties involved.

12:11 p.m. – Caller reported a male taking food from the store, 621 Main St., Thriftway. The subject almost ran over an employee who confronted him in the parking lot. Report taken for robbery and theft.

12:14 p.m. – Caller reported a male in a wheelchair with an open beer riding down the road, 2000 block of Main. Officer responded and spoke with male, and they came to an agreement to discontinue the behavior.

2:06 p.m. – Caller reported a shoplifter, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Report taken.

2:34 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a $500 chainsaw, 40300 block of Holley Heights Loop.

2:44 p.m. – Caller reported a male tried to get a young girl to get into his truck with him, 900 block of 22nd. Information noted.

5:29 p.m. – Caller reported a female driver jumped the curb at Midway Grocery nearly hitting the wall. Officer contacted female. No signs of intoxication. She stated she was confused about how to park in the lot.

5:55 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor has a weed that is more than 10 inches tall, 800 block of 28th. Referred to code enforcement.

6:03 p.m. – John Mark Taylor, 34, arrested for fourth-degree assault, 3224 Main St., South Fork Mobile Home Park. Cited and released. Caller reported a male had just hit him in the face with a glass bottle.

6:04 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor has weeds more than 10 inches tall and a bush blocking the address, 900 block of 28th.

7:59 p.m. – Caller reported a male in a sleeping bag, Sankey Park. Male was not responding to people yelling at him. Officer contacted male, who was fine. He said he is a sound sleeper. Officer advised him of park hours.

Aug. 25

2:09 p.m. – Caller reported four mattresses leaning against a building, 2434 Main St. Referred to code enforcement.

2:43 p.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 1600 block of 11th. Referred to code enforcement.

2:45 p.m. – Caller reported several vehicles, 1800 block of Ulex. Referred to code enforcement.

2:48 p.m. – Caller reported several trailers and RVs in an open field, 1800 block of Tamarack. Referred to code enforcement.

2:50 p.m. – Caller reported blackberries growing over the sidewalk, 1700 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

4:57 p.m. – Caller reported he rode a skateboard close to a male walking in the parking lot, 621 Main St., Thriftway. He returned to apologize, and the male slapped him in the face. Report taken for harassment.

7:43 p.m. – Caller reported a theft at her store, 5430 Main St., Foster Lake Mall. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

8:09 p.m. – Tyler Bruce Lanz, 27, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court and fourth-degree assault, 899 Main St. Caller had reported a dog running loose. Officer located the owner of the dog. The owner had an outstanding warrant.

Aug. 23

9:15 p.m. – Caprice M. Goodenough, 28, arrested for fourth-degree assault and harassment, 42600 block of North River. Caller reported a neighbor smashing items with a shovel, going after another resident with a shovel and shoving another female, breaking her wrist.

Aug. 21

8:59 p.m. – Caller reported a friend’s German shepherd mix bit someone on the hand, Gedney Creek Boat Ramp. Minor injury. Animal control advised.
