March 19

12:13 a.m. – Brandin Martin Hugley, 30, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charges of possession of marijuana and probation violation and a new charge of possession of meth, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Cited and released.

1:49 a.m. – Angela Marie Ruiz, 36, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 23rd and Main.

March 18

12:02 a.m. – Jack Lapham, 49, arrested for driving under the influence following a motor vehicle crash, 29600 block of Berlin Road. Cited and released.

3:37 a.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle collision involving a city vehicle, parking lot at 1114 Long St.

10:48 a.m. – Caller picked up a stray dog at Shea Point and brought it home, 4610 Main St. It started acting aggressively toward her dogs, so she locked it in her bedroom. Officer responded. Dog placed in kennel, and Animal Control advised.

12:41 p.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping in front of the building, 2099 Main St. Officer contacted male and trespassed him from location. Male moved on.

2:59 p.m. – Caller reported graffiti all over Weddle Bridge, 877 14th Ave. Report taken.

3;06 p.m. – Robert Lee Adams, 59, arrested for driving under the influence, 18th and Main. Cited and released. Caller had reported a vehicle crashed into a dumpster. Vehicle impounded.

5 p.m. – Caller reported a male stole two drills, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken. Loss valued at $119.99.

6:27 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor stole tow ropes from her husband’s truck, 2200 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

7:45 p.m. – Caller reported a male driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Information noted.

9:41 p.m. – Jered Van Henderson, 36, cited on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, 1300 block of Long.

March 17

2:42 a.m. – Melissa Nicole Shreves, 31, cited for driving while suspended, Willow Street.

11:13 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a camouflage 1988 Toyota, 38300 block of Glass, Crawfordsville. A vehicle matching the description had been last seen leaving Sweet Home on a trailer.

12:23 p.m. – Chaylan Dale Tosta, 36, arrested for restraining order violation, 1840 Tamarack St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:14 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked on the side of the street for about six months, 600 block of 8th. Officer contacted the owner, who advised the vehicle runs and is driveable but had its windows broken out, which is why a tarp was over it. He agreed to move it into his driveway so it no longer violates city ordinance.

7:10 a.m. – Caller reported that a transient is buying alcohol for juveniles in town. Report taken for furnishing alcohol to a minor. Investigation continuing.

7:34 a.m. – James Andrew Linder, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft and third-degree theft and state warrant for parole violation, 1200 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:46 p.m. – Breanna Marie Mansell, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 15th and Kalmia. Cited and released.

11:51 p.m. – Caller reported a large bonfire, 22nd and Ulex. Officer contacted the registered owner, who was burning a shed torn down earlier. Officer advised him of burn times, and male put the fire out.

March 16

12:40 a.m. – Jacob Reginald Bliss, 42, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to renew registration, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Tag seized from vehicle.

8 a.m. – Death investigation for reported cardiac arrest, 900 block of Elm.

8:17 a.m. – Caller reported someone sleeping in front of the Sweet Home Post Office, 1303 Long St., Sweet Home Post Office. The Post Office wanted all transients found sleeping on the property to be trespassed. Officer contacted a male transient and advised that he was trespassed. He packed up and moved from location.

10:58 a.m. – Caller reported a small black and white dog running in the road, 4500 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.

2:32 p.m. – Caller found a yellow plastic meter in the roadway, Clark Mill and Long. Placed in found property.

3:08 p.m. – Caller found a bicycle in Ashbrook Park about two weeks earlier. Placed in found property.

6:14 p.m. – Caller reported that someone wrote checks on his account, 2200 block of Long. Report taken.

8:07 p.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library.

9:48 p.m. – Caller reported two children tagging Weddle Bridge, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Report taken.

11:28 p.m. – Darrell George Berrigan Jr., 45, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree criminal trespass and possession of burglary tools or theft device, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

March 15

12:46 a.m. – Caller reported that a male who had been asked to leave earlier came back and ripped a board off the back fence, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Officer contacted the caller, who wanted the male trespassed. The fence was undamaged.

2:11 a.m. – David Melvin Buck, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on original charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, Lane County.

5:07 a.m. – Caller reported that a male was lying in the bushes, 1707 Main St. Officer contacted a male who was waiting for the business to open to get coffee.

6:12 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her car and stole several things, 4400 block of Airport. Report taken. Loss valued at $360.

9:01 a.m. – Caller reported catching a male shoplifting and then he ran away and may have damaged the doors, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken.

9:49 a.m. – Stolen property recovered and returned to owner, 1200 block of 23rd.

9:57 a.m. – Caller reported checks stolen from a checkbook, 37000 block of Courtney Creek. Report taken.

10:58 a.m. – Kaleb James Elmer, 21, arrested on six counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, three counts of attempted unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree theft and two counts of third-degree theft, 3133 Main St.

11:19 a.m. – Kristopher Ray Moak, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Lebanon. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:41 a.m. – Debit card, Nissan key and Nissan fob found at 658 Main St. Placed in found property.

11:48 a.m. – Keith Winston, 44, arrested for felony driving while revoked and a warrant for probation violation, 47000 block of Quartzville Road. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:14 p.m. – Jennifer Lynn Harp, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Salem. Cited and released.

2:41 p.m. – Gary Michael Heaberlin, 51, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a wildlife violation, 28100 block of Ridgeway.

4:02 p.m. – Caller reported an EBT card stolen, 1800 block of Tamarack. Information noted.

6:10 p.m. – Caller reported that it appeared someone tried to pry open the concessions stand, Husky Field. Officer responded. The roll-up door had been dented, and the caller said it wasn’t like that a day earlier. Officer advised school resource officer.

8:13 p.m. – Caller found a syringe in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer disposed of syringe.

8:14 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle was unable to maintain lane and was stopping, east on Long Street from Highway 228. Officer responded and located the vehicle parked and unoccupied. The officer contacted the registered owner, who was driving the vehicle. She said the vehicle behind her had bright headlights making it hard to see. She attempted to pull over so the driver would pass her. Caller advised.

9 p.m. – Caller reported a headlight on his vehicle was damaged and the hood had pry marks, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Officer responded. The vehicle had been hit by another vehicle. Report taken.

10:58 p.m. – Caller believed that someone was trying to get into her back patio door, 400 block of Elm. The caller opened the door and could hear someone running away. Neighborhood dogs were barking. Officer unable to locate anyone.

March 14

6:15 a.m. – Branden James Boettcher, 23, turned in himself on Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear, 1950 Main St. Cited and released.

8:46 a.m. – Caller reported a student hit a fence and drove away, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken.

10:29 a.m. – A 15-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for hit and run and reckless driving, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

10:59 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his truck during the night, 4100 block of Osage. Report taken.

12:30 p.m. – Todd Darin Strickland, 49, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief.

12:50 p.m. – A Sunnyside Park employee found a tape-wrapped item in a hole in a wall. The item turned out to be pipe insulation wrapped in yellow tape. It is unknown how or why it was placed in the hole.

1:03 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been sitting for at least one month, 900 block of Elm. Vehicle posted for removal.

1:54 p.m. – Donna Ashley Claxton, 25, cited and released in field for second-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had reported a female stealing an item from the store, getting into a vehicle and trying to leave.

8:01 p.m. – David Arroyo-Sandoval, 37, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 4824 Main St., Hilltop Market.

9:13 p.m. – Rebecca Charlene Fox, 21, cited for driving while suspended, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

9:24 p.m. – Caller reported damage to her vehicle and she believed a male with a restraining order against him did it, 900 block of 12th. Information noted.

March 13

12:50 a.m. – Melissa Nicole Shreves, 31, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation.

8:42 a.m. – Caller reported that students were sending inappropriate text messages to each other, 3205 Long St., Hawthorne Elementary School. Officer responded and counseled juveniles involved.

10:24 a.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass, 3000 block of Main. Cited and released.

1:37 p.m. – Officer seized a license plate that did not match the vehicle it was on, 1810 Main St., Main Street Market. Plate will be returned to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

2:37 p.m. – Steven Scott Sims, 35, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Multnomah County Jail.

2:50 p.m. – Savannah Kaylynn Nunn, 25, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, and James Leroy Salvador, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and a new charge of resisting arrest, Main and 19th. Cited and released.

3:47 p.m. – Britney Mae Herlein, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth and possession of heroin, Dallas warrant for failure to appear on original charge of shoplifting and a new charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1203 Long St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:42 p.m. – Caller found a driver’s license, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Placed in found property.

5:25 p.m. – Miscellaneous items were found dumped on Scott Mountain Road. The owner of the items was identified, but deputies were unable to locate him at the time.

6:09 p.m. – Caller found a malnourished dog missing hair, 1700 block of 12th. The dog had been in his yard all day. Caller said he would hold onto the dog and contact Animal Control later.

6:36 p.m. – Caller reported that someone deposited a check into his bank account then withdrew the funds, 3100 block of Main. The bank closed his accounts. Report taken for fraud. International scam. Caller advised of options.

7:04 p.m. – Caller found a syringe in the bathroom, 1203 Long St., All-Star Pizza. Officer disposed of the syringe.

8:05 p.m. – Neil Moore, 30, cited for second-degree criminal mischief for an incident that occurred on Sept. 6, 41100 block of Upper Calapooia.

8:53 p.m. – A 27-year-old male trespassed from location, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. One caller reported a male refusing to leave. The male who was trespassed had reported he had a restraining order against a female at the location.

9:17 p.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 37, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft and probation violation, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.

March 12

9:26 a.m. – Prestin James Hugley, 34, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 4100 block of Main.

10:49 a.m. – A 14-year-old referred to Juvenile Department for third-degree theft, 1641 Long St.< Sweet Home high School. Caller had reported that a student had a stolen phone. 12:39 p.m. - Caller reported that several people appeared to be living under Weddle Bridge, Sankey Park. Officer checked under the bridge. No one was there, and there were no signs of people camping there. 1:13 p.m. - Dustin Kyle Coughran, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of heroin and Eugene warrant for probation violation on original charges of possession of heroin, providing false information to a police officer and failure to appear, 1220 23rd Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail. 1:27 p.m. - Caller found a syringe on the side of the road, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer disposed of item. 3:01 p.m. - Caller found syringes near her residence, 4100 block of Main. Officer disposed of syringes. 4:17 p.m. - Deborah Rae Kelly, 59, turned in herself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and Lane County warrant for probation violation on original charge of first-degree burglary, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. 4:32 p.m. - Kaleb James Elmer, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and a criminal citation and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, 3133 Main St. Cited and released. 7:09 p.m. - Caller reported a male chasing people with bear mace and threatening to spray them with it, 1900 block of Willow. Officer responded and warned a 39-year-old male for disorderly conduct and trespassed him from the location. 9:31 p.m. - Caller reported a male with a restraining order at location, 1100 block of 38th Ave. Report taken.
