9:16 a.m. – Deputy contacted an adult male sleeping in a travel trailer attached to a truck, partially blocking a Cascade Timber Consulting gate, 41300 block of Marks Ridge Drive. The subject was told he needed to leave the area, as there is no camping on CTC property.
10:11 a.m. – Robert Edward Hilliard, 52, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Lebanon Police Department.
3:42 p.m. – A single-vehicle minor injury crash was reported in the 44700 block of North River Drive. According to the Sheriff’s Office, operator Robert Warren Day, 72, of Sweet Home, was not paying attention and drove a 1999 motorhome into a ditch, striking a tree. Report taken.
March 15
9:55 a.m. – Deputy patrolled CTC property on Scott Mountain Road to Northern Drive. The area has experienced problems with people going around gates with ATVs and UTVs. No activity was seen during the patrol. The gates appeared in good condition.
10:08 a.m. – Jennifer Ann Martin, 44, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Clackamas County.
11:51 a.m. – Vegas Mauer, 16, was cited for speeding 60/35 in the 2200 block of Main St.
12:15 p.m. – Kalvin James Hengler, 24, cited for driving 60/45 in the 4000 block of Main St.
12:56 p.m. – Patricia Vandre Meyer, 56, was cited for speeding 53/35 on Main St./22nd Ave.
1:16 p.m. – Grace Elizabeth-Elaine Baxter-Stough, 18, was cited for speeding 53/35 on Main St./22nd Ave.
1:30 p.m. – Lane Eugene Johnson, 55, was cited for speeding 51/35 on Main St./22nd Ave.
1:40 p.m. – Brandon Alexander, 31, was arrested for second degree theft X2 and attempting to commit third degree theft, 1240 block of 55th Ave. Katherine Belcher, 48, was issued a citation for criminal conspiracy.
4:12 p.m. – Chance Holley, 22, was cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for second-degree trespass, 1950 Main St.
4:58 p.m. – Trevor Ridenour, 20, was cited and released for third-degree theft, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department.
10:51 p.m. – Caller reported a truck that had crashed into a telephone pole and gone into a ditch, Riggs Hill Road and Main St. Michelle Renee Hudgens, 41, was cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
March 16
9:17 a.m. – A stray puppy was transported from the Sweet Home Police Department to Linn County Animal Control.
12:44 a.m. – Austyn Mitchell Lee Clark, 28, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving with a suspended license, Albany Police Department.
4:57 p.m. – Albert Blaine Arthur Wilson, 18, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1200 block of 45th Ave.
March 17
5:27 a.m. – James Darrell Evans was cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, Midway.
10:57 a.m. – Caller reported a student in the office with marijuana, Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St. A 17-year-old female was referred to the Juvenile Department for being a minor in possession of marijuana.
11:00 a.m. – Caller reported license plates stolen from her vehicle in the 48200 block of Cascadia Drive. The involved vehicle was a 2002 silver Mazda truck and, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred more than a month ago. Report taken.
11:46 a.m. – A Deputy one patrol came across an unreported crash in the 49100 block of Hwy. 20, with one vehicle blocking the westbound lane of the highway. A Ford pickup was traveling east and trying to turn into the driveway, but turned in front of a westbound Hyundai. OSP arrived to take over the investigation.
12:12 p.m. – A caller reported concerns about a “neighborhood problem house” in the 38400 block of Glass St., Crawfordsville. He was advised to contact code enforcement and law enforcement when observing violations occurring.
4:35 p.m. – A deputy found litter and an abandoned camp in the 44700 block of Quartzville Road, where occupants had previously been contacted about cleaning up. The deputy was to make efforts to locate the offenders and take enforcement action.
March 18
1:13 a.m. – Anthony Thomas Wynn, 31, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Philomath Police Department.
‘1:58 a.m. – Caller reported hearing loud vehicles in a day-use area in the 47400 block of Hwy. 20 between midnight and 3 a.m. Deputy responded to the location, heard “nothing other than frogs.” An extra patrol was requested by the caller.
8:34 a.m. – Albert Blaine Arthur Wilson, 18, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass, 870 block of 14th Ave.
12:03 p.m. – Caller reported someone giving out his phone number as their own, and that this has been going on for five years. The Sheriff’s Office determined that this appeared to be a case of a spoofed number, which is the practice of falsifying information about an incoming call on the receiver’s caller ID display. Scammers will manipulate the caller ID so that the call appears to be coming from a local or well-known phone number, making it more likely to be trusted or answered. Not a provable crime. 40600 block of Hwy. 228.
3:36 p.m. – Caller reported that a man put soda and items into his backpack, and was out front throwing these items onto the roof, Thriftway, 621 Main St. Joseph Farmer, 27, ws arrested for third-degree theft and offensive littering.
3:36 p.m. – Patrick Lovato, 29, was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender, and on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for child neglect and a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for fourth degree assault – domestic violence, 1600 block of Main St.
4:51 p.m. – Jamie Carpenter, 45, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, 1400 block of Nandina St.
5:49 p.m. – Joseph Farmer, 27, was arrested for providing false information to a police officer and on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for third-degree robbery X2, second-degree burglary and menacing. Arrested on an Albany Municipal Court cite-and-release warrant for second-degree theft, Sweet Home Police Department.
6:56 p.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts, 33, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree theft X2, and menacing and for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
10:32 p.m. – Caller reported that a man beat up his neighbor and was currently inside his residence choking his wife, 6200 block of Main St. An officer responded to this minor physical disturbance between neighbors; there was no evidence to support a domestic-violence incident. John Paul Short, 38, was cited and released for second-degree disorderly conduct and on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt.
March 19
10:17 a.m. – Corey Brandon Ford, 31, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree criminal mischief and failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, Toledo Police Department.
3:55 p.m. – Quentin Wyatt Quadros, 24, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
9:36 p.m. – Caller reported CenturyLink internet cables cut in the 28100 block of Ridgeway Road. Damage estimated at $2,500. Report taken.
March 20
9:27 a.m. – Juvenile referred to the Juvenile Department for being a minor in possession of tobacco, 3100 block of Long St.
4:30 p.m. – Arne Joseph Gerard, 44, was arrested on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation, Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park, Tamarack St. At 5:17 p.m., he was also cited for-hit and-run, driving with a suspended license, and driving uninsured,
10:53 p.m. – A 16-year-old driver was cited for speeding, 89/55, Hwy. 20/Country Lane.
