Feb. 28

11:56 a.m. – Caller reported a hit-and-run in 1000 block Turbyne Rd. According to Sheriff’s Office, a 2000 Ford Focus operated by Sy Alan Attebery, 19, of Sweet Home, hit a fence. According to LCSO, Attebery arranged for his own tow and left the scene without exchanging information with the property owner. A deputy tracked Attebery down and information was exchanged. No crime.

12:22 p.m. – Three fully loaded 9 mm magazines found at Riverbend Campground, 45900 block Hwy. 20. Unable to identify owner. Report taken.

March 1

8:26 a.m. – Willa Harris, 51, cited and released on multiple warrants. 48100 block Hwy. 20. Report taken.

9:36 a.m. – Caller reports female screaming at people at location and showing her breasts, Bi-Mart. Heather Lynn Thompson, 42, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle, and a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second degree criminal mischief, second degree disorderly conduct, and second degree criminal trespass.

11:31 a.m. – Jimmy Rodger Varner, 55, cited and released on Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third degree theft, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department.

2:37 p.m. – Maxwell Stachelrodt, 29, cited and released for third degree theft, 621 Main St. Thriftway.

2:55 p.m. – Cameron Michael Wark, 32, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St.

March 2

12:27 a.m. – Deputy assisted Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District with car fire at rock pit, 42500 block Marks Ridge Dr. Arson investigation ongoing. Report taken.

1:13 p.m. – David Wayne Samson, 60, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of carrying a concealed weapon, Lebanon Police Department.

3:06 p.m. – Bones discovered in area of Wiley Creek Dr./Whiskey Butte Dr. Deputy provided photos to medical examiner’s office, was advised that they are not human bones.

March 3

12:53 a.m. – Lamar Lavonne Wilson, 32, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third degree theft second degree criminal trespass, and second degree disorderly conduct, Albany Police Department.

8:10 a.m. – Deputy patrolling upper McDowell Creek Drive area came upon gray BMW backed up to GP600 gate. Contacted individual who was stacking rocks in trunk of car and was having “mental episode.” Individual spoke to deputy in “three different accents,” according to report. Claimed he was trying to get car low enough to fit under gate. Deputy had him unload rocks and told him to stay off private timber land. Directed individual to find a licensed driver to come get his car. 43000 block McDowell Creek Dr.

8:47 a.m. – Vehicle was found blocking private road, preventing access to area. Removed as hazard. 45100 block Quartzville Rd.

9:58 a.m. – Garbage found dumped on roadside in 44600 block Quartzville Rd. near second bridge. Investigation ongoing.

11:34 a.m. – Male, 16, referred to Juvenile Department for possession of tobacco products/inhalant delivery after Sweet Home High School administrator reported finding vape pen on student during search.

12:54 p.m. – Triston Poteet, 26, arrested on Marion County Circuit Court warrant after turning himself in at SHPD. Cited and released.

2:05 p.m. – Jon Julian Robertson, 50, arrested at Lebanon Justice Center on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant. Cited and released.

6:26 p.m. – Male and female had argument after female found sexual messages between husband and another female. Deputy responded, parties separated and said they would have civil discussion at a later time. 38600 block Hwy. 228.

6:30 p.m. – Trevor Knapp, 38, arrested for harassment after caller reported that a male had shoved him, then left the location, 1024 Mountain View, on foot. Knapp booked, cited and released.

6:47 p.m. – Tye King, 40, arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrant, parole violation after officer responded to report that male on bicycle was taking things out of a storage unit at 987 Nandina St. King lodged in Linn County Jail.

7:12 p.m. – Caller reported that minor had stolen alcohol from Safeway, 1540 Main St. Officer responded. Suspect had left in vehicle. Approximate loss value $25.19.

7:28 p.m. – Jay Boyd Marsh, 57, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant after he turned himself in at Sweet Home Police Department, 1940 Main St. Cited and released.

March 4

12:10 a.m. – Micah Christman, 18, arrested for DUII, second-degree criminal mischief and reckless driving following report of vehicle doing cookies and burnouts in parking lot at Strawberry Park. Booked, cited and released.

12:17 p.m. – Two-vehicle, non-injury crash reported in parking lot, 1641 Long St. Further details unavailable. Report taken.

4:37 p.m. – Buzz Star Dodson Jr., 24, arrested by Albany police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant.

5:46 p.m. – Caller reported theft at Thriftway, 621 Main St. Loss value approximately $25.

7:34 p.m. – Caller reported her son had stolen several items over past few weeks. 1709 Fir St. Report taken.

7:59 p.m. – Caller reported someone had broken into his motorhome, stolen items. 415 Holley Rd. Approximate loss value $800. Report taken.

8:23 p.m. – Caller reported package stolen off her front porch, 1320 45th Ave. Report taken for attempted mail theft.

March 5

10:00 a.m. – Caller reported semi truck hit power pole at 1890 Main St., kept going. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

12:01 p.m. – Caller reported seeing vehicle driven by male hit another vehicle at 1540 Main St., Safeway, and depart without leaving a note. Officer was unable to locate vehicle that had been struck.

12:23 p.m – Caller reported kids riding motorcycles in bike track area of Sankey Park. Officer responded and advised youths that they were not to have motorized vehicles in park.

2:24 p.m. – Dumpster fire reported at 1140 12th Ave. Officer responded. Report taken.

6:10 p.m – Caller reported that vehicle was broken into while parked at 1439 Main St. Items stolen. Report taken for unauthorized entry into motor vehicle, third-degree theft. Further details unavailable.

7:12 p.m. – Teenage girl referred to Juvenile Department for MIP tobacco following call from mother that she had located her runaway daughter, tobacco-related items. 3111 Long St.

March 6

4:52 a.m. – Caller reported at truck parked at 1225 Nandina St. blocking her driveway and she was unable to leave. Officer responded. Truck towed as hazard.

1:12 p.m. – Natalie Reynolds, 34, of Sweet Home, cited for speeding, 77/55, Highway 20/Santiam Terrace.

8:40 p.m. – Adam Brian Lee, 41, arrested at Sweet Home Police Department for second-degree criminal mischief. Further details unavailable. Booked, cited and released.
