11:41 a.m. – Caller reported an unauthorized ATM withdrawal from her account, 4000 block of Osage. The debit card never left the caller’s possession. Information noted. The caller planned to return at a later time after obtaining more information.
11:50 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been barking nonstop for three hours, 1200 block of 46th. Officer contacted owner and warned him for keeping a dog as a public nuisance.
12:32 p.m. – Caller reported a male next to her in line flipped her off and called her names, and a second caller reported that a female cut in front of him in line, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Officer responded and contacted the parties involved. The male offered to buy the female ice cream in an attempt to resolve the issue. The parties finally agreed to separate.
1:25 p.m. – Caller reported that a male hit him in the face, got into a car and left, 2300 block of Harding. Officer contacted the male, who went to the Sweet Home Police Department voluntarily. Officer counseled him for his actions.
1:43 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 30, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1203 Long St.
1:52 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle had been parked for several days at Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave., and seven cats were locked inside. Officer responded. Prior to arrival, the caller had opened the door over concern for the animals, who had no water inside. Officer contacted two individuals associated with the vehicle. Officer counseled them and advised that they were looking at animal neglect charges if the Sweet Home Police Department continues to receive reports on their animals.
5 p.m. – Caller reported that someone siphoned fuel from a company truck, 3700 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $20.
5:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole batteries from her travel trailer, 1700 block of Tamarack. Report taken. Loss valued at $360.
5:26 p.m. – Caller found keys in the roadway, 3000 block of Main. Placed in found property.
6:52 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog barking for an hour, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer responded. No one home. Officer left a business card for owner and advised of the complaint.
7:33 p.m. – Caller reported that his wife was intoxicated and upsetting him, 4900 block of Mimosa. She was on her way to the market to buy more alcohol. Officer contacted them. The female fell outside while walking to the store. Medics checked her. Caller planned to monitor her for the night.
8:08 p.m. – Stanley Edward Gray, 55, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence and Linn County Justice Court warrant for probation violation on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales.
9:35 p.m. – Caller reported a fuel can with fuel taken, 4100 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $20.
9:42 p.m. – Caller reported that she bought something from a neighbor, who sent her niece over to take it back, 2200 block of Main. The caller confronted the neighbor, who drenched the caller with a hose. Officer contacted the parties. Civil issue over property. The parties agreed to remain calm and separated.
11:45 p.m. – Breaunna Danielle Powell, 27, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Lane County Jail.
May 12
1:30 a.m. – Caller reported a disturbance, 46400 block of Highway 20. Report taken.
8 a.m. – Single-vehicle crash, 44900 block of Quartzville. Driver was driving approximately 45 mph into a gentle curve when the left rear wheel fell off the vehicle causing him to lose control and pitch side to side, with the vehicle flipping onto the passenger side. The vehicle came to rest in the center of the lane. All seven passengers were wearing seatbelts, and no one was injured. They crawled out of the vehicle through the sun roof and rear hatch. Deputy found the wheel in the ditch where the skid marks began.
9:34 a.m. – Caller reported a cat locked in a vehicle with the windows up, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Officer responded. The animal was not in distress. The temperature was 54 degrees. Officer contacted the owner, who was aware of the situation and would handle it.
9:53 a.m. – Caller received a fraudulent check in the mail, 5400 block of Poplar. Officer responded. The caller had not cashed any check or given any information. The check was determined to be part of a scam. She was encouraged to return the letter and its contents to the Post Office and discontinue any contact with Nigeria.
10:04 a.m. – Jeremia Luke Robles, 20, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park.
11:36 a.m. – Quentin Wyatt Quadros, 20, cited and released in field for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 12th and Long.
11:52 a.m. – Christopher A.L. Hughlett, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer and new charges of first-degree theft of lost or stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm, Main and Clark Mill. Cited and released.
12:21 p.m. – Caller reported that her vehicle was hit during the night while parked at Husky Field. Report taken.
12:31 p.m. – Michael Todd Sylvester, 53, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

3:20 p.m. – Caller reported a driver threw a fruit at another vehicle’s windshield as he drove by, Highway 20 milepost 19. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate a vehicle matching the description.
4:25 p.m. – Caller found a cell phone on the sidewalk, 3100 block of Main. Placed in found property.
4:38 p.m. – Michael John Mays, 49, arrested on Salem warrant for failure to appear on original charge of trespassing, Main and railroad trestle. Transported to Linn County Jail.
5:17 p.m. – Caller reported glass all over the westbound lanes of Highway 20 west of Sweet Home. Officer responded and found fine pieces of glass in the roadway, primarily in the center lane. Oregon Department of Transportation notified.
7:19 p.m. – Sun Sierra Lynn Ackley, 22, cited for driving while suspended, 3000 block of Main.
May 11
1:16 a.m. – Alejandro Martinez Arciniega, 23, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Linn County Jail.
1:21 a.m. – Caller reported a prowler, 41900 block of Marks Ridge. Deputy responded. The caller’s neighbor had gone there to check on a chicken coop he repaired earlier in the day because he thought he forgot to close the door.
8:55 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was loose, 1800 block of Kalmia. When she tried to shoo it back home, it growled at her. Officer contacted and advised the owner of the complaint. The dog was in its own yard on arrival.
9:44 a.m. – Harvey Michael Kapicka, 32, turned in himself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
9:49 a.m. – Caller reported a homeless camp, end of Zelkova. Officer contacted a male who was packing his things. He was advised he was on private property and warned for trespass.
9:55 a.m. – Caller reported a dog frequently left in a cage with a urine-soaked blanket and was concerned the dog was being neglected, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Officer unable to contact owner but would follow up.
10:53 a.m. – Caller reported a male riding a lawn mower on Main Street, 1501 Main St, Speedee Mart. Officer observed the male, who was not in the roadway and operating appropriately.
11:08 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 800 block of Alder. Officer responded. A portion of the lawn had been mowed recently. Officer to send letter to property owner.
12:04 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs at large and it’s an ongoing problem, 4900 block of Locust. Officer responded. The dogs were returned home and the owner warned for dog at large.
2:43 p.m. – Caller reported a 15-year-old boy was attacked by a few other boys at Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave. Report taken.
2:47 p.m. – Kari Ann Miranda, 45, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 4th and Juniper. Quarantine order issued. Caller had reported her son bitten by a dog.
3:45 p.m. – Deputy contacted three people on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property, 44200 block of Highway 20. Deputy warned them the area was day use only. All of them agreed not to sleep there or any Corps property. Deputy made it clear future violations of the no camping rule would result in criminal charges.
3:47 p.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and blackberries in the ditch, 49th and Mimosa. Referred to Public Works.
4:21 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor had blackberries growing over the caller’s fence, 700 block of 10th. Officer unable to contact the owner and left business card and message.
4:54 p.m. – Caller reported a burglary, 52800 block of Highway 20. Report taken.
5:35 p.m. – Caller reported that a female in the can return is putting UPC codes but no cans through the machine, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Male and female trespassed from location.
6:03 p.m. – Caller brought in a dog running in the street, Willow and 18th. Dog placed in kennel. The dog had no collar or chip and is a small brownish-colored mixed breed.
6:38 p.m. – Officer assisted with a medical call 57th and Main. Officer contacted a male taking a nap on the sidewalk.
6:40 p..m. – Caller reported a truck stolen during the night while the owner was in the jail, 3100 block of Main. Caller advised to have owner contact the Police Department. Information noted.
8:36 p.m. – Melony Irene Shockman arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Dallas. Cited and released.
9:07 p.m. – Caller reported that a male sex offender was just released from prison and is to have no contact with minors, 1200 block of 23rd. The male is living in an apartment complex that has minors. Officer contacted the resident, who made arrangements to keep the male away from children while he is in the area visiting.
11:05 p.m. – Caller reported her sister-in-law threw a saw blade at her residence, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer contacted both parties. They had different stories. Report taken to be forwarded to city attorney for review.

5:17 a.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated male sleeping in the bottle room, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Male transported to hospital by medics.
7:55 a.m. – Caller found a dog at large, Ames Creek Road. Owner picked up dog.
7:59 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of hand tools worth $200, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.
9:25 a.m. – Caller reported someone entered his truck and a firearm was missing, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $136.
11:32 a.m. – A 16-year-old referred to Juvenile Department for harassment, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.
2:36 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
2:56 p.m. – Deputy located a trailer that had been excluded from Linn County parks for 90 days in the 44200 block of Highway 20. The group moved from the parks to the location a few days earlier. Deputy educated and warned the subjects for illegal camping. The truck was having wiring issues, so they were given until noon the next day to be gone. They hoped to be gone before dark.
5:26 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor letting his dog run loose, 1300 block of Sunset. Officer contacted parites. The dog was outside playing with children. Officer encouraged the owner to keep the dog on a leash.
5:36 p.m. – A tree had fallen into the roadway, 28400 block of Pleasant Valley. Tree removed.
6:05 p.m. – Caller reported that he is a landlord and the interior of a residence had been trashed, 500 block of 9th. Report taken.
6:58 p.m. – Caller reported cedar boards taken from her yard, 1300 block of 13th. Information noted.
9:37 p.m. – Caller reported dogs in the area barking for the previous hour, 400 block of Oak Terrace. Quiet upon officer arrival. Officer sat in the area and did not hear any barking.
9:46 p.m. – Caller witnessed two cougars come out of a backyard and walk toward Main, 54th and Quince. Officer responded. Officer notified the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
May 9
2:46 a.m. – Deborah Anne Haaland, 31, cited and released in field for harassment (domestic violence), and Donald Aardal Haaland, 53, arrested for harassment (domestic violence) and transported to Linn County Jail, 1094½ 43rd Ave. Caller reported that his daughter was fighting with her husband.
9:28 a.m. – Caller reported that a male came into the store yelling about the bottle room and causing a scene, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Caller wanted him trespassed. Report taken for trespass.
11:02 a.m. – Caller reported a white Chevy Luv purposely blocking both eastbound lanes at Highway 20 and Wiley Creek. Officer responded. Subject was trying to block traffic while another person was trying to wrangle a couple of dogs running in traffic.
11:11 a.m. – Caller reported a fraudulent Verizon account established in his name, 1083 24th Ave. Report taken.
11:19 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been parked for two days, 6000 block of Main. Vehicle was on private property. License plate stickers seized from the vehicle.
12:45 p.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping by the cover at the skate park, 1990 Long St. Officer contacted and advised female about city ordinance. She moved along.
3:17 p.m. – Caller reported stopping a theft, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Report taken for trespass warning.
5:39 p.m. – Jesse Lane Davis, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County. Cited and released.
6:02 p.m. – Kyle Alexander Richards, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft and third-degree theft, Lebanon. Transported to Linn County Jail.
7:20 p.m. – Caller reported a male, against whom she has a stalking order, drove by her earlier and used an inappropriate hand gesture at her.
8:02 p.m. – Steven Scott Sims, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Portland. Cited and released.
8:55 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, 1800 block of Kalmia. Dog returned home. Owner counseled.
9:20 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor set off a mortar and it hit his roof, 1800 block of Kalmia. Officer responded. No fire. Unknown who set off the fireworks.
May 8
12:24 a.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated male passed out on the sidewalk, 12th and Tamarack. Officer responded with medics. The male was taking a nap. The male went home.
2:42 a.m. – Caller reported her son’s car had been hit and pushed a block down the road, 4400 block of Live Oak. Report taken for hit and run.
8:43 a.m. – Franklin Claybon Edwards, 45, arrested for driving under the influence and Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of second-degree failure to appear, 2009 Willow St. Callers reported a Ford pickup speeding by and crashing. One caller reported that when he went out to check damage to a fence, the subject punched him and walked away. He then came back and took off in the truck burning rubber.
10:03 a.m. – Caller reported a truck and trailer had been parked for more than two weeks, 5300 block of Osage. Officer responded and found the vehicle partially blocking the roadway. Officer contacted the owner who advised she would move it to her driveway.
10:13 a.m. – Caller reported a Bronco parked in the 4300 block of Main. The vehicle had front end damage and was leaking fluids. Officer contacted the owner, who said it ran out of fuel the previous night and he would move it shortly.
11:13 a.m. – Caller reported that a student threatened to assault him, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Officer counseled the juvenile.
11:14 a.m. – Robert Kenneth La Follette, 35, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, Linn County Jail.
12:29 p.m. – Elisha Marie Adams, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of providing false information to a police officer and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
12:43 p.m. – Caller reported an excessive amount of garbage scattered around the backyard, 900 block of Mountain View. Referred to code enforcement.
1:14 p.m. – Caller found a phone in the road near her residence, 800 block of Elm. Phone was damaged beyond repair. Caller posted a photo of it on Facebook and planned to hang onto it for the time being.
2:12 p.m. – Caller reported that her neighbor has a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, and they just found him sitting in her car in the parking lot, 900 block of Nandina. Report taken.

3:33 p.m. – Caller reported a male driving a lawnmower in the roadway impeding traffic, 1600 block of Long. Officer observed the male en route to another call. The male was not in the roadway.
6:40 p.m. – Caller found a pipe in the front yard, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Item seized for destruction.
9:11 p.m. – Caller reported her dog was hit by a vehicle and she was unsure if it would survive, 4800 block of Main. Officer responded. Caller transported the dog to a veterinarian in Lebanon.

7:24 a.m. – Laticia Pilar Sanchez, 28, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 1220 23rd Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a female at her front door, and the female was not supposed to be there.
9:02 a.m. – Nathan Benjamin Mead, 25, cited and released in the field for second-degree theft, 4420 Main St. Caller reported that an employee had been caught stealing from the company, O&M Tire.
10:36 a.m. – Caller found keys in the roadway, Clark Mill Road. Placed in found property.
12:36 p.m. – Caller found a dog at large, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Placed in kennel. Owner retrieved dog.
1:16 p.m. – Todd Darin Strickland, 49, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
2:45 p.m. – Robert Norman Jaques, 36, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment.

4:31 p.m. – Caller reported that she is trying to replace a fence that was pushed over by a neighbor’s debris and building material, 1400 block of Tamarack. Referred to code enforcement.
4:36 p.m. – Caller requested a welfare check on an elderly woman who was wandering around the neighborhood, 27th and Jefferson. Officer located the female and provided a courtesy ride to her residence where she was released into the care of her husband.
4:38 p.m. – Marty Allen McMahan, 44, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 1094 43rd Ave. Cited and released. A caller reported that his friend kicked and dented the side of his car.
5:27 p.m. – Victoria Diamond Santich, 19, cited for driving without a license, Northside Park.
5:43 p.m. – Caller reported that her fence was cut during the previous day, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken. Loss valued at approximately $100.
7:59 p.m. – Caller reported a male driving a golf cart in the roadway near Oak Heights, 605 Elm St. He was holding a beer and had a small child riding next to him. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.
10:54 p.m. – Kim Renee Lunn, 49, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear and probation violation, 1500 block of 9th.
