8:04 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office responded to a verbal argument between a student and a bus driver in the 40900 block of Hwy. 228. No crimes. LCSO said there was a report of an assault between the two, but review of a video indicated that was not the case. Verbal only. Report taken.
5:32 p.m. – Caller complained about comments on social media. He was advised by the Sheriff’s Office to contact social media sites. 26000 block 2nd St., Crawfordsville.

9:41 a.m. – Paul William Kalina, 46, was arrested for contempt of court, 1950 Main St.
11:53 a.m. – A caller reported that his son hit his car with a shovel, 1100 block of 32nd Court. Beau Riley Lamb, 18, was cited and released for second-degree criminal mischief.
11:55 a.m. – Caller reported littering in the 27000 block of Scott Mountain Road. Linn County Road Department notified.
May 12
2:48 a.m. – Harmony Jade Kalina, 39, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for third-degree theft, Port of Portland Police Department.
4:22 a.m. – A woman stated that her boyfriend punched her in the head. Bryce Taylor Keenon, 25, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department.
12:57 p.m. – Deputy responded to the 25000 block of West Brush Creek Road to report a cow trying to birth and appearing to be dying. Deputy contacted the owner and learned that the calf had been pulled but did not survive. Cow was recovering.
1:31 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle ran stop sign, nearly collided with another vehicle. The Sheriff’s Office checked the plate provided, which was registered in Roseburg but flagged as sold. 41400 block of McDowell Creek/Berlin roads.
May 13
8:31 a.m. – The Sweet Home Junior High’s assistant principal requested officer assistance with identifying an unknown liquid in a student’s possession, 880 22nd Ave. Officer responded. A 14-year-old male was referred to the Juvenile Department for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
9:48 a.m. – Harvey Kapicka, 36, was cited and released on an Albany Municipal Court cite-and-release warrant for second-degree theft, 1530 Main St.
12:55 p.m. – Deputy at House Rock was informed of a littering site on U.S. Forest Service property, 60400 block of Highway 20. Located site, passed info to U.S.F.S.
1:28 p.m – Disabled boat reported 44900 block Quartzville Rd. Occupants were able to paddle back to the ramp.
2:43 p.m. – Officer found that someone had put a stick in the men’s restroom door and was sleeping inside, 1712 11th Ave. Some vandalism was reported, but mostly trash. Approximate value: $50.
May 14
6:01 a.m. – Luke Kenneth Dale Buehner, 38, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of contempt of court, and on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment, 1300 block of Clark Mill Road.
3:15 p.m. – Caller reported that her mailbox went missing. 27500 block of Riggs Hill Road.
8:10 p.m. – Deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 52800 block of Hwy. 20. Gate was locked at the property. History of issue at that location. No one appeared to be at the location.
May 15
12:53 a.m. – Heather Mae Kelly, 42, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft X2, and failure to appear on an original charge of harassment, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
2:10 a.m. – Anna Rochelle House, 38, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
11:12 a.m. – Lamar Wilson, 32, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct, 1540 Main St.
2:13 p.m. – Caller reported a break-in in his friend’s pickup truck, Zelkova Park. An officer responded; a report was taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft, Approximate loss of value $300.
2:42 p.m. – Caller reported a toy hauler break-in, 4199 Main St. Officer responded; a report was taken for second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. Approximate loss of value $900.
2:43 p.m. – Single motorcycle crash reported in 44900 block Quartzville Rd. According to Sheriff’s Office, Luke Kenneth Buehner, 38, of Sweet Home, was riding his motorcycle when he laid it down on the roadto avoid a collision with a vehicle in his lane of travel. He then drove his motorcycle home and had a friend take him to the hospital.
3:43 p.m. – Donald Walkup Jr., 27, was cited and released for fourth-degree assault, Safeway.
4:38 p.m. – Caller reported a man in a black vehicle parked near the railroad bridge, 47th/ RR’s EB. The male appeared to be sleeping, and the caller wanted someone to check on him. James Wood, 37, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court felony warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license and an ignition interlock device installation condition violation. Jessica Nofziger, 37, was cited and released on an Albany Municipal Court cite-and-release warrant for second-degree theft.
6:55 p.m. – Austin Alan Ross, 24, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and third-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
