neighbor’s dog barks incessantly every morning between 5 -and 7
a.m., 2200 block of Ironwood. Officer contacted the owner and advised
her of the complaint. She advised she would make sure it doesn’t
happen again.

9:37 a.m. – Christina Janette Rivera,
34, arrested on state warrant for probation violation, 1900 block of
Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.
3:03 p.m. – Donna Ashley Claxton, 25,
arrested for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree
theft, 2400 block of Main. Cited and released.
8:50 p.m. – Caller reported a
neighbor’s dog barking nonstop, 4700 block of Long. Officer
responded. Unable to contact anyone at residence. Officer left
business card.
Oct. 28
1 a.m. – Two 13-year-old males and one
14-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for runaway, 3205
Long St., Hawthorne Elementary. Caller had reported three to four
juveniles on school property.
1:31 a.m. – Matthew Wayne Short, 29,
arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original
charge of harassment, Florence. Cited and released.
5:44 a.m. – Caller reported subjects
sleeping in a vehicle, 16th and Cedar. Officer contacted two
subjects, who said they would work on getting a licensed driver. Both
left on foot.
9:29 a.m. – Caller reported the theft
of binoculars from his work truck, 28200 block of Highway 20.
11:39 a.m. – Caller reported that
little sinkholes were appearing around a residence, 400 block of
Maple. Public Works advised. Occupants advised to use caution.
12 p.m. – Caller reported that someone
broke into his garage and stole several items, 2200 block of Long.
Report taken. Loss valued at $800.
1:59 p.m. – Caller reported that
someone attempted to cut a hole in his window, 1300 block of Sunset.
Report taken. Loss valued at $300.
2:07 p..m. – Caller found a stray dog,
Ridgeway Road. Dog placed in kennel.
3:57 p.m. – Caller reported that his
neighbors trespassed on his property, 4610 Main St. Officer contacted
all parties involved. The male in question was retrieving a juvenile
that had wandered onto the property. Information to be forwarded to
city attorney for review.
7:36 p.m. – A 16-year-old male and
15-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for minor in
possession of marijuana, 2600 block of Long.
8:41 p.m. – Elias James Severson, 40,
arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original
charge of second-degree theft, Madras.
10:29 p.m. – Evan Chance Feigum, 18,
arrested for driving under the influence, 3200 block of Main. Cited
and released. A 17-year-old female referred to Juvenile Department
for minor in possession of marijuana.
2:55 p.m. – Donna Ashley Claxton, 25,
arrested on Lebanon warrant on contempt of court on original charge
of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County warrants for failure
to appear on two counts of criminal mischief, Albany warrant for
failure to appear on original charges of second-degree disorderly
conduct, second-degree theft and two counts of third-degree theft and
new charges of harassment and fourth-degree assault, 2450 Main St.
Cited and released.

2:39 a.m. – Jimmy Rodger Varner, 50,
cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to
yield to emergency vehicle, 19th and Long.
3:22 a.m. – Seth Allen Goodwin, 25,
cited for driving while suspended, 1200 block of Main.
7:05 a.m. – Caller reported that her
grandson gave the office staff a bottle of medication on Wednesday,
but as of Thursday, the staff couldn’t find the medication, 880
22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High. Information noted. School
continuing the investigation.
7:58 a.m. – Caller found a stripped
truck parked on an old logging road across from the Scott Mountain
200 line. Vehicle towed. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of
Sweet Home. While recovering the vehicle, deputies located trash
dumped on land managed by Cascade Timber Consulting. The trash
consisted of old bathroom fixtures, new construction debris and other
items.
9:37 a.m. – Caller reported damage to
an electrical box, 900 block of Nandina. Report taken.
10:34 a.m. – Calvin Alvin Ames, 51,
cited and released in field on Albany warrant for contempt of court,
north end of 45th.
10:36 a.m. – Waynette Lynne Valdez, 47,
cited for city code violation, open storage, 1950 Main St., Sweet
Home Police Department.
11:15 a.m. – Caller found a purse with
contraband on the Share bus. Property seized.
11:19 a.m. – Caller reported his
bicycle stolen from in front of Speedee Mart, 1501 Main St. Report
taken. Loss valued at $90.
1:48 p.m. – Three callers reported
three males screaming and yelling, with one threatening to pull a
gun, 2000 block of 18th. Report taken for harassment and disorderly
conduct.
2:09 p.m. – Travis Gary Hummer served
on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of
misdemeanor driving while suspended, Lebanon.
3:05 p.m. – Motor home posted for
removal, 1900 block of Long.
3:09 p.m. – Caller reported a male
subject without a shirt is practicing martial arts kicks toward the
windows in the 1500 block of Main. Officer contacted the male, who
was sitting down. He said he was kicking earlier trying to get out of
the sun and will keep it to a minimum.
3:34 p.m. – Caller turned in a dog she
found running on Highway 228. Dog placed in kennel. Caller had
already posted a photo to Facebook.
3:57 p.m. – Motor home posted for
removal, 1800 block of Kalmia.
3:57 p.m. – John A. Mance, 29, arrested
on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of
resisting arrest, Linn County Courthouse.
6:31 p.m. – Caller reported a huge
backyard burn on a non-burn day, 4100 block of Highway 20. Officer
contacted homeowner, who agreed to put out the fire.
7:59 p.m. – Caller reported that a
female had been beaten up by her daughter and needed medical
attention, 5300 block of Poplar. Report taken. Unable to locate
suspect.
10:56 p.m. – Caller reported multiple
subjects fighting in the street, 1600 block of Elm. Officer
responded. Parties had separated. All of them were warned for
disorderly conduct.
11:34 p.m. – Andrew Christopher Jones,
21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original
charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

12:12 a.m. – Caller reported a deer was
hit and its back legs were broken, 44th and Main. Officer located
deer. Due to injuries, officer dispatched the deer and advised the
Oregon Department of Transportation.
1:58 a.m. – Oregon State Police
recovered a vehicle reported stolen out of Sweet Home.
7:24 a.m. – Caller reported that her
11-year-old stepson just punched her in the face and ran toward the
High School, 1641 Long St. Officer counseled juvenile.
9:23 a.m. – William Bane Kruder, 57,
cited for violation of city code, occupying an RV with no permit, 732
9th Ave.
9:29 a.m. – Yvonne Opal Claunch, 50,
cited for violation of city code, open storage, 2390 Cedar St.
10:47 a.m. – Caller reported a dog
running loose, 42nd and Long. Officer attempted contact with owner.
The front door was open, and the dog was going in and out. No one
appeared to be home. Officer secured the door with the dog inside and
planned to follow up with the owner at a later time.
11:47 a.m. – Jeremy Wayne Allen, 38,
turned in himself on a Linn County warrant for probation violation on
original charge of driving under the influence and two counts of
fourth-degree assault, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
Cited and released.
12:52 p.m. – Mark James Rettinger, 47,
turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on
original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main
St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
1:18 p.m. – A 14-year-old male referred
to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of tobacco, 1641 Long
St., Sweet Home High School.
2:19 p.m. – A 13-year-old female
referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of marijuana,
minor in possession of tobacco and possession of a Schedule II
substance, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High.
2:50 p.m. – Heather Marie Richner, 37,
arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original
charge of possession of meth and failure to appear on original
charges of distribution of marijuana to persons under 18,
distribution of marijuana within1,000 feet of a school and
endangering the welfare of a minor, a Lebanon warrant for failure to
appear on original charge of second-degree theft and probation
violation on original charge of second-degree theft and a new charge
of possession of meth, 22nd and Main. Transported to Linn County
Jail.
3:05 p.m. – Tyler Cameron Canfield, 24,
arrested for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and
released.
5:54 p.m. – Caller reported the theft
of a phone, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Loss valued at
$500.
7:17 p.m. – Caller reported the theft
of six bags of cans, 200 block of W. Holley. Caller wanted
information noted and gave a description of the male seen taking the
cans. The officer planned to look out for, identify and counsel the
male if found.
8:01 p.m. – Timothy Charles Shipp, 63,
cited for city code violation, open storage and junk vehicles, 1435
22nd Ave.
9:25 p.m. – Colin Richard Owens, 17,
cited for exhibition of speed and driving uninsured, Long and 18th.
Vehicle impounded.

1:30 a.m. – Julia Anne Payne, 38,
arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original
charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.
8:49 a.m. – Caller reported that
someone set up a camp near the BMX track at Sankey Park, 877 14th
Ave. Officer located the campsite and issued a male a 30-day
exclusion from the park.
9:02 a.m. – Caller reported a utility
line down, 22nd and Mountain View. A phone line was down on the
sidewalk. CenturyLink notified.
9:48 a.m. – A 15-year-old juvenile
referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of marijuana
and tobacco, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.
10:10 a.m. – Caller reported two dogs
running loose and one was aggressive, Long and 10th. Officer unable
to locate dogs.
11:35 a.m. – Shane William Wells, 41,
arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to register as a sex
offender, Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear, Albany
warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree
theft and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of
criminal possession of rented property and cited for driving while
suspended, driving uninsured and illegal display of license plate,
1118 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
1:27 p.m. – Caller turned in a cell
phone found near the bus stop, 4610 Main St. Placed in found
property.
1:28 p.m. – Caller reported a
neighbor’s dog had been barking for more than an hour, 1700 block
of Long. Dog quiet upon officer arrival. Officer notified the owner
of the complaint.
1:53 p.m. – Caller found a cell phone,
1000 block of Pleasant Valley. Placed in found property.
2:09 p.m. – Caller was upset that a
motor home that arrived the previous night was still at location,
1800 block of Kalmia. Officer responded. No one inside. Officer
secured the trailer as best he could. Vehicle posted for removal.
2:13 p.m. – Caller found a tent that
was set up, 3200 block of Main. Officer located the tent, which had
been at the location for awhile but was not in use.
2:22 p.m. – Johnny Lee Stone, 25,
turned in himself on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and
probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended and
Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of
improper use of the emergency reporting system and resisting arrest,
1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released in
field.
4:32 p.m. – Jacob Lee Chorlton, 22,
cited for no insurance, 1900 block of 18th.
4:50 p.m. – Jeremiah Luke Robles, 20,
cited and released in field for failure to comply on original charge
of second-degree theft, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home
park. Cited and released.
4:53 p.m. – Steven Zachary Koechig, 27,
cited for no insurance, Money Man parking lot.
5:12 p.m. – Vehicle posted for removal,
49th and Main.
7:25 p.m. – Paul William Kalina, 42,
arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear, contempt of court
and probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft and
Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of theft
of services, 3137 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail. A caller
had reported a male hitting his girlfriend. Officer responded. Verbal
only. Both denied any altercation. No injuries.
7:49 p.m. – Caller reported a male
received two counterfeit $20 bills, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s.
Bartender seized the counterfeit bills. Officer seized the bills and
trespassed the male from the location.
7:25 p.m. – Amanda Rae Stafford, 41,
cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to
appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 3137
Main St.
7:25 p.m. – Anita Renea Lewis, 36,
cited and released in field on original charge of third-degree theft,

5:45 a.m. – Caller reported items in
his front yard had been moved and cameras show a juvenile female in
his yard, 4400 block of Citabria.
8:44 a.m. – David James Kamarec, 22,
arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original
charges of third-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass and
new charges of possession of meth, second-degree criminal mischief
and second-degree attempted burglary, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug.
Cited and released. A caller had reported that someone tried to break
into the Public Library during the night. The caller had video
surveillance.
8:58 a.m. – Eric Edwin Steinborn, 40,
cited and released in field on Lebanon warrants for failure to appear
on a criminal citation and for contempt of court and probation
violation, 1220 23rd Ave.
10:42 a.m. – Caller reported that a
vehicle had been parked for about a month, 300 W. Pine. Officer
contacted male and advised him of city ordinance. The male agreed to
move his vehicle.
12:10 p.m. – Brandon Ryan Freeman, 23,
arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two original
charges of third-degree theft, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Cited and
released.
1:18 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 900
block of Pinetop. Dog placed in kennel.
3 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running
loose in the neighborhood for a couple of days, 1200 block of 2nd.
Officer located the dog and its owner. Officer warned the owner for
keeping the dog as a public nuisance. The owner said she would
reinforce the fence immediately.
3:44 p.m. – Christopher Thomas
Meredith, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear
on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree
theft and first-degree criminal trespass, 800 block of 14th. Cited
and released.
6:04 p.m. – Caller reported that
someone broke into his RV, 4600 block of Main. Report taken. Loss
valued at $409.
8:23 p.m. – Nancy Renee Bughman, 50,
cited for driving uninsured, 4200 block of Long.
Oct. 23
8:30 a.m. – Darrel George Berrigan, 45,
arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to
appear on original charge of third-degree theft. Cited and released.
8:43 a.m. – Caller reported a car
parked on the street for more than a month, 1200 block of 46th.
Posted for removal.
10:25 a.m. – Robin David Fox, 27,
arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original
charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Transported to Linn County
Jail.
1:50 p.m. – Raymon Wayne Littell, 41,
arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original
charge of negotiating a bad check, Washington County. Cited and
released.
4:24 p.m. – Caller reported that a
neighbor’s dog was back in the caller’s yard again leaving
messes, 1700 block of 9th. Officer contacted the caller, who
requested that when the owner is contacted that the owner will be
counseled for allowing the dog to roam.
5:53 p.m. – Caller reported a black
German shepherd in the caller’s yard, 1200 block of 43rd. Officer
unable to locate.
6:02 p.m. – Caller
reported the theft of a bicycle, 3224 Main St., South Fork
manufactured home park. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.
