Oct. 7

4:01 a.m. – Laura Paule Gorzynski, 23, cited for driving uninsured, 1500 block of Tamarack.

5:14 a.m. – Caller reported that a male who was trying to get into a car left behind what appeared to be drugs, 5400 block of Main. Officer seized the item.

8:14 a.m. – Caller reported flower ports had been knocked over, 1100 block of Long. Information noted.

8:40 a.m. – Caller reported that someone took a large bottle of soda and sprayed all over the walls and floor of the Post Office lobby, 1303 Long St. The bottle was outside the door. Officer responded. Soda appeared to be only on the floor. Postmaster notified.

9:30 a.m. – Tyson Derek Boren, 35, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1937 Main St.

10:59 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered vehicles and a building and took tools, 28600 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

11 a.m. – Caller found a set of keys, Wiley Creek Park. Placed in found property.

12 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of items from his pickup, 1200 block of Laurel. Loss valued at $500. Report taken.

12:30 p.m. – Caller reported plates stolen from a vehicle, 3000 block of Main.

3:47 p.m. – Andrew Christopher Jones, 22, cited on an Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

4:29 p.m. – Lester Lee Hendrix, 43, cited on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended and one for failure to comply on original charge of hit and run, Douglas County.

4:45 p.m. – Rebecca Charlene Fox, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree escape, assaulting a public safety officer and resisting arrest; and Joe Allen Wayne Wood, 29, arrested on Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and attempt to commit a class C felony, 5281 Main St. Both transported to Linn County Jail.

6:49 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole a gas can and fuel, 43600 block of Wiley Creek. Report taken.

8:04 p.m. – Brayan Velez-Daran, 26, arrested for driving under the influence in a single-vehicle crash, 26700 block of Fern Ridge. Velez-Daran transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for treatment and then released. Deputy transported him to Linn County Jail, where Velez-Daran was cited and released.

8:25 p.m. – Paul William Kalina, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and theft of services, 44000 block of Wiley Creek.

Oct. 6

12:06 a.m. – Caller reported that a male just struck her and threw her on the ground, 28000 block of Riggs Hill. Report taken.

8:14 a.m. – Caller reported what looked like a baggie of drugs dropped in front of his car, 2200 block of Long. Seized for destruction.

8:33 a.m. – Earl Ryan Dodge, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree escape, 1300 block of Pleasant Valley. Cited and released. Caller reported a male along the fence behind the Wastewater Treatment Plant. He had appeared to be watching a nearby house.

1:28 p.m. – Caller reported mail stolen from his mailbox, 1000 block of Vista. Nothing of value was taken. Caller just wanted officers to be aware of the activity. Information note.

1:50 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered two unlocked vehicles, 1000 block of Vista. Report taken.

2:38 p.m. – Caller reported an F250 taking up four spots, including a handicap space, 1980 Main St. Caller contacted and counseled the registered owner.

3:27 p.m. – Officer located a vehicle that had been entered, 1200 block of 44th. Report taken.

4:40 p.m. – Early May Ferguson, 59, cited for no license and driving uninsured, 4th and Main.

5:16 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle was left in her front yard, 2200 block of Long. Placed in found property.

Oct. 5

12:59 a.m. – Alora Linese Fulbright, 29, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Klamath County.

2:07 a.m. – Jonathan McKinley Hegge, 36, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft by Oregon State Police.

1:37 p.m. – Caller reported that her ex, against whom she has a restraining order, continues to text her, 900 block of Nandina. Suspect lives in California. Report taken to be forwarded to the district attorney for review.

2:59 a.m. – Michael Scott Seiber, 38, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for probation violation and failure to appear, 23rd and Long. Cited and released.

3:48 p.m. – Caller reported damage to a mailbox and a possible theft of mail, 27400 block of Fern Ridge. Report taken.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported three marijuana plants stolen, 1900 block of 12th. Caller wanted information noted for the theft and a neighbor warned for trespassing.

5:07 p.m. – James Anthony Pruitt, 34, arrested for attempting to elude, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, misdemeanor driving while suspended and Corvallis warrant for possession of meth, Pleasant Valley and Red Barron. Transported to Linn County Jail. Police had stopped a vehicle reported stolen out of Lebanon.

7:48 p.m. – Lebanon police recovered a 1999 Honda Civic that had been reported stolen out of Sweet Home.

Oct. 4

9:07 a.m. – Caller reported his license plate stolen, 900 block of Cedar. Report taken.

1:05 p.m. – Quentin Wyatt Quadros, 20, turned in himself on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of possession of meth, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:27 p..m. – Tommy Joseph Lee Burke cited for contempt of court, 2009 of Willow. Caller had reported a male against whom he had a no-contact agreement was at the caller’s fence.

4:38 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 1540 Main St., Safeway. No injuries. No citations. Information exchanged.

4:44 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter’s vehicle stolen from the parking lot, 1203 Long St. Report taken. Loss valued at $3,000.

7:19 p.m. – Caller reported his phone was stolen from Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave. Caller tracked it down, but the person who had it wouldn’t give it back. Report taken. Loss valued at $300.

10:57 p.m. – Carson Albert Strasser, 28, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

11:32 p.m. – Mark James Rettinger, 48, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 3100 block of Main.

Oct. 3

5:29 a.m. – Caller reported a wire down on a sidewalk, 1500 bock of Main. Officer responded. Wire was spooled next to the pole. Comcast advised.

6:25 a.m. – Caller reported fuel siphoned from vehicles during the night, 1700 block of 9th. A chainsaw also was stolen. Loss valued at $350. Report taken.

7:59 a.m. – Leonard Curtis, 60, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, 22nd and Mountain View. The driver had reported a juvenile was hit while in a crosswalk. The child was transported to the hospital by private vehicle for minor injuries.

8:18 a.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts, 30, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Lebanon.

9:15 a.m. – Todd Darin Strickland, 49, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

12:25 p.m. – Caller reported finding a large amount of household garbage dumped on property managed by Cascade Timber Consulting, 23500 block of Brush Creek. Report taken.

2:44 p.m. – Caller reported a mailbox was damaged, 1000 block of North River. Unknown if mail was taken. Report taken.

5:06 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her license plate, 600 block of Nandina. Report taken. Loss valued at $75.

7:43 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Browand, 24, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

Oct. 2

12:28 a.m. – Gina Colleen Holt, 56, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Lebanon.

6:53 a..m. – Caller reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took miscellaneous items, 5400 block of Poplar. Report taken.

7:56 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle, 5400 block of Poplar. Report taken.

8:40 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered the caller’s shop and took tools, 38700 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

9:39 a.m. – Multiple callers reported a beagle running loose at 18th and Long and then 42nd and Long. Several persons attempted to capture the dog, but it ran to its own residence. Owners were not home.

1:21 p.m. – Donald Charles Ackeret, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence and Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence (owed seven days in jail); and David Spencer North, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence and two Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 1166 18th Ave. Ackeret transported to Linn County Jail, and North cited and released.

2:19 p.m. – Melissa Jean Ackley, 40, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and Lebanon warrants for probation violation and failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

2:40 p..m. – James David Stedman, 62, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Polk County. Cited and released.

4:28 p..m. – Jesse A. Marsh, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Linn County. Cited and released.

5:50 p.m. – Caller reported a husky mix in her yard, 1700 block of Cedar. She secured the dog for a police officer. Officer responded. Dog released to owner. Owner warned for dog at large.

7:22 p.m. – Caller found a wallet, 10th and Long. Placed in found property.

8:25 pm. – Caller reported that a car had been parked outside his residence all day and the caller noticed a card left outside his door, 2100 block of Long. The caller thought someone may have used it to try to gain access. Officer responded. A door was slightly ajar, but officer was unable to tell if someone entered the house. Nothing missing. Officer seized the card.

8:35 p.m. – Timothy James Shehan, 24, cited for speed racing, failure to carry proof of insurance and operating an unsafe vehicle, 22nd and Mountain View.

9:47 p.m. – Frank Archie Thompson, 44, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

11:42 p.m. – Caller reported a dog at large, west city limits on Highway 20. Caller tried to catch but was unable to. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate.

Oct. 1

5:45 p.m. – Sean Michael North, 26, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to report as a sex offender, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows.

8:51 a.m. – Caller reported that someone tampered with a power switch and damaged a piece of equipment, 1439 Main St., Rio Theater. Report taken.

9:17 a.m. – Alejandro Martinez Arciniega, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of disorderly conduct, Albany.

1:29 p.m. – Caller reported she was missing her credit cards and her account had been breached, 300 block of Mountain View. Information noted.

1:32 p.m. – Caller had concerns that her elderly mother was not being cared for and was being used financially, 600 block of 8th. Information noted. Officer to contact Senior and Disabled Services.

2:16 p.m. – Jerrad Keith Ellis, 31, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a Benton County warrant for possession of meth, endangering the welfare of a minor, failure to appear and giving false information to a police officer; Shanelle Marie Ellis, 35, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of forgery and possession of a forged instrument; and Dawn Marie Bender, 42, cited and released in field for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 23rd and Main. Ellis and Ellis transported to Linn County Jail. Officer had conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle reported stolen out of Corvallis. Stolen vehicle, a 2006 Honda Civic, recovered.

2:26 p.m. – Caller reported that a male who had cut phone lines was in the store, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Subject left prior to officer arrival. Officer later located the subject and trespassed him from the location.

3:09 p.m. – Caller found a loose dog, 1900 block of Main. Dog placed in kennel.

4:05 p.m. – Caller reported vandalism to a 1994 Grand Jeep Cherokee, 26700 block of Old Holley. Report taken.

5:30 p.m. – Ian Alan Nolan, 28, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief, Marion County.

8:15 p.m. – Ember Ann McAlpin, 35, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and probation violation, 1500 block of 12th. Caller had reported a female at location had accused her of taking some of her property and pulled a gun on her. Officer contacted all involved, and they had differing stories. Property was returned to owner.

9:03 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking for approximately an hour, 4500 block of Long. Officer counseled the owner.

Sept. 30

8:07 a.m. – Caller reported doors were open on a vacant building, 4100 block of Main. Officer responded and cleared the residence. Unknown if anything was taken. Report taken.

8:42 a.m. – Joseph Everett Marvel, 32, cited for no insurance, 3000 block of Long. Vehicle impounded.

8:56 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a loud beeping noise coming from a trailer in a yard for the past two days, 200 block of 5th. Officer responded. He sound was coming from smoke detectors at the bottom of a rubbish pile in a trailer on the property. Officer contacted a juvenile who would let his father know so it could be resolved when his father returned home.

9:22 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered vehicles in the lot, 1746 Main St., All-Star Towing and Recovery. Report taken for four counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

1:16 p.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 42, arrested by Oregon State Police on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft.

4:53 p.m. – Caller reported that someone had been dumping trash in the caller’s dumpster, 1000 block of Long. Caller wanted the subjects counseled if located. Information noted.

7:12 p.m. – An off-duty police officer reported a group in a parking lot standing around two males who were fist fighting, 1280 10th Ave. Officer contacted the group, who stated it was a misunderstanding and they were just engaged in horse play. Subjects counseled for their actions in a public parking lot.

10:20 p.m. – Caller reported something or someone was in her backyard, 2200 block of Juniper. Her small dog chased it off, and she heard it jump the fence. She said it was too big to be a cat. She requested extra patrol on her street and the street behind her home because whatever it was jumped into her backyard neighbor’s yard. Officer patrolled the area.
