Warrants are out on the following individuals: Samuel Frank Ayers, Curtis Ray Daniel, Andrew James Freitag, Aaron Thomas Halvorson, Noe Hernandez-Reyes, Michael Trevor Hilton, Faron Walter Kennedy, Taylor Robert Mespelt, Carrie Lynne Miller, Kendra Lynne Montoya, Julianne Nicole Phillips, Tammy Lavonn Robinson, Paula Marie Lea Skyles-Lutzi, Zachary Shane Stegner
Michael Trevor Hilton, 32, was charged on Oct. 11 with two counts of first-degree theft for allegedly selling or receiving stolen property, to wit a Garmin GPS and GSU.
Alex Levitsky, 38, was sentenced on Oct. 5 to 90 days suspension of a driver’s license and 10 days with the Oregon Dept. of Corrections based on a no contest plea to unauthorized use of a vehicle and two counts of recklessly endangering another person. Charges of second-degree kidnapping and third-degree criminal mischief were dismissed. He was sentenced in a separate case to two consecutive terms of 15 months with the Dept. of Corrections and 24 months post-prison supervision based on a no contest plea to four counts of aggravated harassment. Charges of attempt to commit a felony, first-degree criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another were dismissed.
Oct. 17
1:19 p.m. – Melannie Leanne Ader, 33, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of hit-and-run, 1000 block of 29th Ave.
2:40 p.m. – Kaleb Banta, 24, was arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of fourth-degree assault, possession of meth, and strangulation and menacing, and on an Albany Municipal Court cite-and-release warrant for contempt, 12th Ave./Juniper St.
2:56 p.m. – Caller reported a purse stolen from an unlocked work truck, 54th Ave./Main St. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $100.
5:34 p.m. – Caller reported a male leaving with six 24-packs of water and emptying them, allegedly to cash them in for bottle deposit, Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken. Approximate loss of value: $62.
6:16 p.m. – Michael Matthews, 37, was cited and released for third-degree theft, Safeway, 1540 Main St.
7:09 p.m. – Larry John Follett, 47, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 12th Ave./Nandina St.
Oct. 18
7:04 a.m. – Amanda Leah Binks, 29, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
2:47 p.m. – Caller reported a backpack theft sometime the previous evening, 1540 Main St. Report taken. Approximate loss of value: $165.
3:35 p.m. – James Heaberlin, 28, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 600 block of Main St.
4:50 p.m. – Caller reported son’s bicycle stolen the previous evening from a back porch, 1200 block of 23rd Ave. Report taken.
9:24 p.m. – Caller reported a previously trespassed male at Safeway, 1540 Main St. Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 34, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass.
Oct. 19
9:45 a.m. – Loyd Patten, 55, of Albany, was cited and released on a warrant, 41300 block of Sun Lane. Report taken.
10:50 a.m. – Jeremy White, 44, of Sweet Home, was cited for speeding, 65/55, 28700 block of Hwy. 20.
11:56 a.m. – Caller reported that a dog attacked her and her dog, 1100 block of Long St. No injuries. April Springer, 40, was cited for a dog as a public nuisance.
12:16 p.m. – Michael Eric Clendenen, 39, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving, Oregon Dept. of Corrections.
1:23 p.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle crash blocking lanes, 18th Ave./Long St. Report taken. Damage: more than $2,500. Samuel Robert Holden II, 47, was cited for no valid driver’s license.
1:58 p.m. – Caller reported finding two tennis balls a day earlier that appeared to have been blown up, 1200 block of 37th Ave. Oregon State Police bomb squad responded. Item seized and destroyed. Report taken for possession of a destructive device.
6:29 p.m. – Caller reported that a male crashed his motorcycle in the street, 1300 block of Tamarack St. Report taken for motor vehicle crash, injury. Male was transported by medics.
Oct. 20
3:55 a.m. – Harvey Michael Kapicka, 37, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal trespass X3, Albany Police Department.
10:14 a.m. – Larry Dean Bergstrom, 58, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St.
10:42 a.m. – Caller reported a popup canopy theft, 200 block of Main St. Report taken. Value: $140.
11:17 a.m. – Denise Rochelle Burrow, 55, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St.
12:32 p.m. – Caller reported a generator theft, 900 block of 31st Ct. Report taken.
4:34 p.m. – Deputy contacted occupants of camp near milepost 18 on Quartzville Drive who had been overstaying the allotted time on BLM land. They were advised to move on.
Oct. 21
1:53 a.m. – David Sterling Schwan, 32, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Albany Police Department.
5:36 a.m. – A vehicle with no registered owner was found abandoned on the roadway in the 26700 block of Greenville Road. According to Sheriff’s Office, Green Kia had been sold and the buyer failed to register it in their name, therefore there was nobody to contact. It was towed as a hazard. Report taken.
6:38 a.m. – Caller reported being scammed out of money, 900 block of 29th Ave. Report taken. Approximate loss of value: $20,000.
10:05 a.m. – Caller reported finding a syringe in a ceiling, 1200 block of Long St. Officer responded. The item was seized for disposal.
10:49 a.m. – Caller reported a student using whippets, 800 block of 22nd Ave. Report taken.
11:42 a.m. – Caller reported a male destroying a memorial in front of 1099 Long St. and being belligerent. Report taken.
11:47 a.m. – Linn County Search and Rescue responded to a hiker in medical distress in the 51300 block of Quartzville Road. The man, 75, did not have visible injuries but was unable to walk, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies walked about a mile to reach him. He was helped to the trailhead by SAR members and transported by ambulance for medical evaluation. Report taken.
11:51 a.m. – Caller reported a male acting aggressively and sweating, telling the caller that he was going to kill her and the “Nazis,” 600 block of Main St. He was last seen entering Thriftway. After an officer was dispatched, the caller reported the same man jumping in front of vehicles and laying underneath a parked vehicle. Jason Comer, 45, was arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct. Arrested on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation/assault.
2:02 p.m. – Caller reported a theft committed two hours earlier, 600 block of Main St. Report taken.
10:30 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of propane tanks, 3100 block of Main St. Report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value: $110.
Oct. 22
11:20 a.m. – Deputies investigated a shooting in the 43300 block of Marks Ridge Drive. A male had accidentally shot himself in the leg. According to Sheriff’s Office, adult male stated he found a gun at the location. After picking up the gun, the male tripped and shot himself in his leg. Medical assistance was provided. Report taken.

3:55 a.m. – Loyd Patten, 55, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, 4000 block of Long St.
3:42 p.m. – Caller reported his furniture stolen from a residence he was using for storage, 2400 block of Main St. Report taken for burglary and second-degree theft.
