8:15 a.m. – Officer located a vehicle that had been entered. Report taken. Investigation continuing.
8:16 a.m. – Caller reported his truck was stolen, 900 block Sixth Avenue. Officer responded. Report for first-degree theft and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Entered into LEDS as stolen.
1:11 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into his vehicle, 700 block of First Avenue. Officer responded. Report for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft.
3:31 p.m. – Caller reported a female stole some checks and other items from him, 900 block of Long Street. Officer responded. Report taken. Loss valued at $350.
7:14 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen firearm. Owner notified.
Sept. 30
11 a.m. – Caller reported a hit and run, 47700 block of Quartzville. Report taken.
10:13 a.m. – Albany police located a stolen tablet. The owner was notified.
11:35 a.m. – Caller reported that her boat, which was moored at the arena, was damaged, Foster Marina. Officer responded. Report taken for first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Loss valued at $3,300. Linn County Sheriff’s Office towed the boat to the boat launch.
2:06 p.m. – David Edward McCraken, 23, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for second-degree failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Beaverton.
2:13 p.m, – Caller reported a mail carrier was attacked by a dog, 400 block of 9th. Officer responded. Contacted mail carrier who advised he was not hurt just shook up.
2:42 p.m. – Caller found a dog five miles up Brush Creek from Highway 228. It was placed in a kennel. Email sent to dog control. Picture posted on Facebook Lost and Found pets Sweet Home. LCSO advised.
3:24 p.m. – Caller reported a package of insulation fell off a flatbed truck, 4100 block of Main. Officer responded. Item seized. Unknown who it belongs to.
3:29 p.m. – David Melvin Buck, 24, arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass Linn County warrant for probation violation, on original charge of distribution of meth.
4:22 p.m. – Caller located a cell phone up Quartzville past milepost 14. The cellphone was seized and a message sent to owner.
4:32 p.m. – Caller brought in an Oregon Trail Card he found, 1000 block of Long. Item placed in found property.
Sept. 29
2:34 a.m. – Caller reported that someone on mill property was camping and running a generator. Officer responded and contacted a male who was a watchman for a house that was being demolished. The generator was running an air filter required by the Department of Environmental Quality due to asbestos.
2:59 a.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 24, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended; Linn County warrants for misdemeanor driving while suspended failure to appear on three original charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended, one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a criminal citation; Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and contempt of court; and a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass and cited for failure to install an ignition interlock device.
4:33 a.m. – Robert Norman Jaques, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Sunnyside Park. Cited and released.
6:43 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dog barks all day long, 1100 block of 37th. The caller said the owner ties him up outside while he goes to work. Officer responded. The dog was quiet upon arrival. The dog was on a runner and had food and water. The caller was advised to call back if issues continue.
8:01 a.m. – Caller reported a dog barks all day long, 800 block of 9th. Officer responded. The dog was quiet upon arrival and while speaking with caller. Caller will call back when dog owners are home if barking continues to be an issue.
9:06 a.m. – Abandoned vehicle towed, 18th north of railroad.
10:34 a.m. – Caller reported a white Chevy pickup filled with trash parked in front of residences for more than a week, 1100 block of 2nd. Officer responded. Posted for removal.
12:32 p.m. – Caller turned in cell phone located in bushes, Mt. View and Long Streets. Officer responded. Placed in found property.
1:01 p.m. – Caller reported a loose dog on playground, Hawthorne Elementary. Officer responded and placed dog in kennel. Dog control contacted by email. Owner picked up the dog.
1:20 p.m. – Caller reported a person living in a camper at the location, 2200 block of Larch. Referred to code enforcement officer.
3:38 p.m. – Anna Rochelle House, 33, arrested on a Sweet Home Police Department warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

7:57 a.m. – Caller reported a trailer full of junk parked in the 1400 block of 24th. Trailer posted for removal.
9:01 a.m. – Caller reported persons living in a travel trailer for more than a month, 1400 block of 13th. Referred to code enforcement.
9:54 a.m. – Caller reported two dogs in her front yard, 4900 block of Locust. Dogs returned to their own yard. They had escaped through a hole in a fence. Owner warned for dog at large. Owner planned to repair the hole.
10:29 a.m. – Nathan Daniel Brown, 42, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft (owes 21 days in jail), 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.
2:39 p.m. – Caller reported a tree that needs to be trimmed, 800 block of Terrace. Referred to code enforcement.
2:39 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass and briers, 900 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

2:50 p.m. – Caller reported that someone opened a Dish account in her name in Texas, 600 block of 4th. Report taken.
2:54 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked with expired tags, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Officer responded and contacted a female who planned to wait for someone to tow the vehicle.
3:13 p.m. – Deputy returned a box with a wallet inside it to its owner, 28700 block of Liberty. The deputy had been given the box, which was found at Riverbend County Park and had been missing for a month and a half. The owner would not elaborate on why the box and wallet were in the park.
5:07 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into the caller’s barn and removed items, 41000 block of Highway 228. Report taken.
11:35 p.m. – Rebecca Ann Long, 37, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 12th and Spruce.
Sept. 27
1:33 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving reports that the Sweet Home Post Office was on fire, 1303 Long St. Officers and firefighters responded to the area. No fire at location. They checked the area and were unable to locate a fire. Smoke dissipated and was possibly the result of a wood stove.
9:33 a.m. – Caller reported neighbor’s grass hasn’t been mowed since June, 1200 block 40th. Referred to code enforcement officer.
9:46 a.m. – Public works found a black bag full of prescription bottles, 3200 of block Main Street. Officer responded. Items seized.
9:53 a.m. – Caller reported small black and white terrier running loose, 1100 block of 42nd Avenue. Officer responded. Unable to catch the dog. Owner advised and said they would send someone to pick up the dog.
10:42 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 1300 block of Evergreen Lane. Referred to code enforcement officer.
10:53 a.m. – Caller reported someone threw a rock and hit her in the back of the head, 4600 block of Main Street. She was bleeding and felt nauseous. Officer responded. Report for harassment.
11:23 a.m. – Caller reported someone took a glue stick and rubbed it all over his vehicle, 3200 block of Main Street. Officer responded. Report for third-degree criminal mischief.
1:44 p.m. – Caller reported briars growing over fence and obscuring the speed sign, 2100 block Main Street.
2:55 p.m. – Charas Lelainia Blanco, 44, was arrested for third-degree theft, cited and released, 621 Main Street, Thrifway.
3:23 p.m. – Caller reported a male took his motorcycle to work on it and also took the title and sold it. Officer responded. Report taken. Investigation continuing.
9:03 p.m. – Glen Ole Hesberg, 23, was arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge possession of a controlled substance, heroin, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
9:12 p.m. – Caller reported a man head butted him in the mouth, 1200 block Main Street. Officer responded. Report for harassment. Investigation continuation.
11:22 p.m. – Aaron James Nesbitt, 38, was arrested on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for second-degree failure to appear, probation violation and a Linn County Circuit Court warrant DUII, driving while suspended and possession of marijuana. Cited and released.
Sept. 26
8:01 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been running loose all night and day, 1300 block of Quince. Officer unable to contact owner. Neighbor contained the dog.
8:14 a.m. – Single-vehicle crash, 27100 block of Scott Mountain. The vehicle rolled. No injuries or property damage. Vehicle driven home.
8:35 a.m. – Caller reported a male lying in the roadway, Midway Grocery. Officer responded. Male had a medical issue, and medics transported him to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
9:18 a.m. – Caller reported persons living in a travel trailer, 5300 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement officer.
9:44 a.m. – Daniel Christopher McRorie, 36, turned in himself on a Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of assault, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
9:44 a.m. – Caller reported her umbrella stolen from her closet, 1300 block of Sunset. Information noted.
10:49 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s trees were growing over the fence, 4600 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement officer.
10:55 a.m. – Caller reported that a male brought in a counterfeit bill and said he received it from the location 30 days earlier, 1266 15th Ave., Wells Fargo Bank. The caller took a copy of the bill, and the male left. Information noted. An officer planned to follow up with the caller and the male later.
12:05 p.m. – Branden James Boettcher, 23, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court, Sankey Park.
1:40 p.m. – Caller reported a Toyota 4-Runner parked for several months with a flat tire, 200 block of Highway 228. Officer contacted the owner and advised of the complaint and city ordinance. The owner planned to move it.
3:57 p.m. – Caller reported her fuel cap was on the ground and fuel possibly taken from her vehicle, 1200 block of 23rd. Information noted.
5:58 p.m. – Sara Delight Fortune, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Lane County. Cited and released.
8:08 p.m. – Frank Joseph Coelho, 62, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 4836 Main St.
8:09 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash, 1000 block of Main. No injuries. Vehicle crashed into the median.
9:36 a.m. – Caller reported that someone just threw eggs at her residence, 1200 block of 49th. Officer contacted the caller, who just wanted the information noted. Suspects were most likely juveniles.
10:01 p.m. – Caller found an abandoned bicycle, Hawthorne and 1st. Placed in found property.
11:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a male broke a tenant’s window then ran away, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken. Damage estimated at $300.
11:38 p.m. – James Eugene Mobley, 33, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 2280 Long St. Cited and released.
Sept. 25
8:01 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of his son’s front license plate, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken. Loss valued at $85.
11:12 a.m. – Caller reported possible theft of mail and a computer, 5300 block of Main. Report taken. Investigation continuing. Loss valued at $89.
12:14 p.m. – Thomas Junior Hernandez, 54, arrested for strangulation (domestic violence), 1340 47th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported that her ex-boyfriend grabbed her by the throat and threw her on the ground.
12:41 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs running loose, 1100 block of 42nd. Officer contacted owner by phone. Family went to location and contained the dogs.
12:44 p.m. – Caller reported multiple marijuana plants on the side of a residence, 1600 block of 12th. Officer contacted a male who presented his grower’s card. The officer advised him to cover it from public view.
1:05 p.m. – Samantha Christine Mansell, 25, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and possession of meth, Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass and a new charge of possession of meth, 1203 Long St., All-Star Pizza. Transported to Linn County Jail.
1:23 p.m. – Caller reported that an unlicensed car had been left for 24 hours, 18th Avenue at the electrical substation. Vehicle posted for removal.
3:44 p.m. – Caller reported helping a male who had run out of fuel on 18th Avenue. The male gave the caller a chainsaw for his help. The chainsaw was listed as stolen. Report taken. Chainsaw returned to owner.
4:48 p.m. – Caller reported that a cougar was in his yard around 2 a.m., 1100 block of 48th. Officer provided the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife cougar sighting phone number. Officers advised. Neighbors advised. Notice posted.
6:23 p.m. – Caller located a stray dog at Shea Point. Dog placed in kennel. Photo placed on Facebook. Owner retrieved the dog, which had escaped from him at Shea Point.
