Sept. 3

3:32 p.m. – Deputy responded to a family disturbance in 40900 block of Hwy. 228. A 14-year-old got upset and punched a glass sliding door, breaking it and cutting his hand.

3:41 p.m. – Deputy patrolled McDowell Creek Park and spotted a car that appeared to be lived in. No one was around and the car was missing its front license plate. A short time later, a deputy spotted the vehicle in the upper parking lot, as male with a dog walked away from it. Displayed license plate did not match the vehicle. Deputy was unable to locate male, but will follow up later.

5:12 p.m. – Deputy checked CTC gates from McDowell Creek Drive to North River Road. Found couple returning from a walk on 730 Road in Lewis Creek Park. They were warned for trespass.

11:10 p.m. – Deputy responded to a domestic disturbance between a juvenile and his parents at Sunnyside Park. Everyone agreed to go to bed for the night.  

Sept. 6

2:29 p.m. – Robinson Jensen, 63, of Lebanon, was arrested for DUII, Shadow Lane/Ridgeway Road. Report taken.

9:11 p.m. – Caller reported a hit-and-run on the 41900 block of Northside Drive, in which a driver struck four mailboxes on a single post. Damage exceeded $300. Report taken.  

Sept. 7

1:47 p.m. – Dennis Wayne Andreas, 70, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department.

1:51 p.m. – Caller reported that a male pushed her and made threats toward her recently, as well as recent suicidal statements, 3200 block of Main St. Officer responded. Raymond Lyle Tressel, 25, was arrested for domestic violence assault, fourth-degree felony.

8:20 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle at a residence in the 1000 block of Northside Drive. Damages total $370. Under investigation. Report taken.  

10:35 p.m. – Matti Lynn Hook, 21, was cited and released for fourth-degree assault, 2400 block of Main St.

10:52 p.m. – Danielle Moffitt, 33, Lebanon, cited for speeding, 79/55, Santiam Highway/Liberty Road.  

Sept. 8

9:49 a.m. – Multiple callers reported a female beating up male at the old City Hall building, 1140 12th Ave. Officer responded. Cassandra Carey Hotchkiss, 40, was cited and released for second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment.

1:47 p.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated male walking into the roadway near Chamber of Commerce, 1575 Main St. Officer responded. Vincent Holt Jr., 50, was cited for an open container.

2:18 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle was broken into, several items were stolen. Estimated value $1,000. Investigation continuing. Report taken. 43100 block McDowell Creek Drive/Bates Bridge.

3:30 p.m. – Aaron Matthew Smith, 34, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, Albany Police Department.

5:05 p.m. – Cassandra Carey Hotchkiss, 40, was cited and released for offensive littering, 1100 block of 12th Ave.

7:32 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle burglary McDowell Creek Drive/Bates Bridge. Firearm and wallet stolen. Investigation continuing. Report taken.

7:41 p.m. – Thomas McCarthey, 57, arrested on Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation, Mobil.

Sept. 9

3:14 a.m. – Linda Evelen Kennedy, 31, was cited and released for possession of meth, White’s Park.

10:13 a.m. – Fiber Guys telecommunications contractor reported 3,000 feet of 72-count optic fiber cable was cut and damaged, rendering it useless. Total loss approximately $4,000. Near milepost 34 on Highway 20, just east of Quartzville Road. Report taken.  

10:27 a.m. – Marcus Wesley Hesson, 50, was arrested on multiple Linn County Sheriff’s Office warrants and a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of resisting arrest, Old City Hall.

Kellie Ann Hesson, 54, was cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on original charges of attempting to assault an officer and first-degree trespass, harassment and resisting arrest, and failure to appear on an original second-degree charge. She was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass X3, Old City Hall.

10:49 a.m. – Jimmy Rodger Varner, 54, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Sweet Home Police Department.

12:22 p.m. – Charles Coats, 35, and Cory Lawrence, 54, both cited and released on warrants. 43300 block North River Dr.

1:29 p.m. – Caller reported that he missed court due to illness and now had a warrant, 3224 Main St. Officer responded. Timothy Dean James Morgan, 20, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of animal abandonment.

4:09 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle was hit and damaged in parking lot in 45900 block Highway 20.  

8:33 p.m. – Todd Buddy James Waterman, 38, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Albany Police Department.

10:09 p.m. – John Patrick Debrie, 38, was arrested for domestic violence menacing, 520 block of 6th Ave.

Sept. 10

1:18 a.m. – Melannie Leanne Ader, 32, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to perform duties of a driver when property is damaged, Corvallis Police Department.

8:04 a.m. – Caller reported a female stealing her belongings, old City Hall, 1140 12th Ave. Cassandra Carey Hotchkiss, 40, was cited and released for third-degree theft.

8:29 a.m. – Caller reported theft of government weather monitoring equipment, Moose Creek Lane/Highway 20, Cascadia. Missing items included antennas, solar panels, wire, sensors, batteries, etc., belonging to U.S. Department of the Interior. Total value $4,465. Report taken.  

11:49 a.m. – Hollie Lavern Gregory, 65, was cited for second-degree child neglect, 2000 block of 18th Ave.

5:38 p.m. – Caller reports male and female arguing in the area, causing traffic back up, 12th Ave./Main St. Officer responded. Allen Dale Ensley, 32, was cited and released for offensive littering.

11:02 p.m. – Cassandra Carey Hotchkiss, 40, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass, 1900 block of Main St.

Sept. 11

3:12 a.m. – Caller reported a female yelling, throwing things and attempting to take his stuff. Another caller reported a female yelling at a male, 1100 block of 12th Ave. Officer responded. Cassandra Carey Hotchkiss, 40, was arrested for second-degree robbery, second-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft.

10:39 a.m. – Kristopher Scott Clark, 29, was arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of second degree theft, Linn County Jail.

1:56 p.m. – Deputy responded to county parks ranger’s request for help locating owner of 2003 travel trailer abandoned at Trout Creek Campground, 50100 block Hwy 20, Cascadia.

1:41 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident reported at Highway 228/McQueen Drive. Deputies responded and all parties involved left scene with no injuries. Further details unavailable in Sheriff’s log. OSP notified for damage to guardrail on highway.  

2:12 p.m. – Elijah Lloyd Sullivan, 26, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for second-degree criminal mischief, Florence Police Department.

3:55 p.m. – Camper at Whitcomb Creek Park reported having property stolen during night, 47700 Quartzville Road. Report taken.  

4:05 p.m. – Caller reported a catalytic converter theft, 800 block of 8th Ave. Officer responded and contacted the caller by phone. A report was taken for second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft.

6:33 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 32, was cited and released on Douglas County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle/menacing, 18th Ave/Yucca St.

8:43 p.m. – Gary Alan Campbell, 47, was cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for harassment and menacing, 4100 block of Osage St.

11:47 p.m. – Brian Michael Nies, 42, was arrested on a Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office (California) warrant for burglary, unauthorized use of motor vehicle and grand theft, 1500 block of Tamarack St.

Sept. 12

11:44 a.m. – Deputies recovered a lost firearm on logging road near House Rock Campground, Latiwi Creek Road/Highway 20. .357 Taurus revolver. Report taken.

2:00 p.m. – Caller reported shots fired in 43500 block Wiley Creek Dr. Deputies responded to find residents shooting clay pigeons “in a legal and safe manner,” according to Sheriff’s log.  

3:17 p.m. – Oscar Phillips, 50, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, 4500 block of Main St.

4:48 p.m. – Caller reported his vehicle window was smashed and $60 worth of items were stolen. Report taken. Lewis Creek Park.  

6:54 p.m. – Hope Carlene Panages, 45, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and failure to appear on an original charge of harassment. She was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of attempting to commit a felony, harassment, third degree escape, and attempting to elude a police officer, 1300 block of 1st Ave.

7:40 p.m. – Caller reported a backpack theft while he was at Safeway, 1540 Main St. Officer responded. A report was taken for second-degree theft.

9:05 p.m. – Adam Edward Glen Becker, 19, was cited for speeding 53 in a 35, 1st Ave./Main St.

10:41 p.m. – Cristy Jane Cromwell, 40, was cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, possession of meth, a criminal citation X3, and failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, possession of meth and a criminal citation X5. He was cited and released on a Polk County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of meth. He was cited and released on a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of meth. He was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft. He was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for third degree theft, 4824 Main St.

10:45 p.m. – Amy Leigh Barnes, 31, was cited and released on Washington County Circuit Court warrants for possession of meth X2 and possession of heroin. Cited and released on Yamhill County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on a first degree original charge X2. Cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third degree theft, 1530 Main St.

11:43 p.m. – Anthony Wade Holden, 31, was arrested for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Oregon State Police.

September 13

4:44 a.m. – Avery William Freeman, 25, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of reckless driving, 1745 Dogwood St.
