Cited and released on Lebanon Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license. Also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.
4:57 p.m. – Caller reports male trying to get into vehicle, 621 Main St. Officer responded, Steven Kenneth Stitt, 36, arrested for assault on public safety officer, resisting arrest, first degree criminal trespass, second degree criminal trespass, second degree attempted criminal trespass, third degree theft and second degree criminal mischief.
6:13 p.m. – Caller reported theft of money, 38300 block Hwy. 228. Bags for money and more than $600 cash reported missing. Report taken.
9:51 p.m. – Jamie Crystal Glass, 28, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third degree theft, Marion County.
11:44 p.m. – Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 58, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Albany Police Department.
August 31
1:18 a.m. – Gabrielle Kait Bernhardt, 25, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third degree theft, Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
5:03 a.m. – Darrell Curtis Powell Jr., 43, arrested for driving with a revoked license, Main/22nd.
11:21 a.m. – Taylor Robert Mespelt, 20, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second degree theft, failure to appear on an original charge of giving false information to a police officer, and third degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
11:56 a.m. – Caller reports items were stolen last week, 1788 Grape Court. Report taken for unauthorized entry into motor vehicle and second degree theft, loss of value approximately $130.
1:35 p.m. – Linn County Search and Rescue, Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District medics, and Oregon Department of Forestry personnel responded to Horse Rock Ridge Trail in Brush Creek/West Brush Creek roads area, regarding injured hiker, Katie Fallin, age and city of residence not avaialble, with broken ankle. Fallin was transported to local hospital for treatment. Report taken.
2:29 p.m. – Caller reported he was stuck on Foster Lake due to engine failure. He paddled his way to shore after making the call.
7:42 p.m. – Caller requested welfare check on her mother, who had fallen, 44700 block Quartzville Road. Deputy responded and medics were requested for transport.
11:20 p.m. – David Arroyo-Sandoval, 41, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of harassment, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
11:54 p.m. – Shelby Keith Brigham, 55, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of failing to report as sex offender, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
September 1
2:44 a.m. – Taylor Plagmann, 26, of Sweet Home, arrested for driving under the influence after he allegedly swerved into oncoming traffic, Highway 228/Brushwood Road. Report taken.
11:00 a.m. – Steven Matthew Young, 45, cited and released for second-degree criminal trespassing after Cascade Timber Consulting reported there was a motor home parked in the rock pit near Milepost 38 on Highway 20, Cascadia. The CTC caller reported that Young had been told previous Friday that it was private timber property and was closed to all access due to fire danger.
1:25 p.m. – Caller reports male ran into his vehicle. Caller believes he may be intoxicated. Refusing to give information. Caller called back prior to officer arrival. Subject left. Officer located vehicle. Daniel Joseph Maurice, 55, in custody for driving with a suspended license and arrested on Lebanon Municipal warrant for driving with a suspended license, 1540 Main St.
6:15 p.m. – Caller reports male sleeping in parking lot, requests welfare check, 621 Main St. Thriftway. Officer responded, Tyrone Paul Perrine, 32, cited and released for criminal possession of heroin, cited and released on Albany Municipal Court warrant for second degree theft and Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of failing to perform the duties of a driver, interfering with an officer, driving under the influence of intoxicants, possession of heroin, failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X2, and failure to appear on original charges of meth possession, heroin possession and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation. Also cited for possession of meth.
8:42 p.m. – Caller reports a male running in roadway and stopping cars, 13th/Main. Officer responded, male given courtesy transport to family member’s home. Larry Dean Bergstrom, 56, cited and released for second degree disorderly conduct.
9:25 p.m. – Caller reports her belongings were taken by a female who is refusing to return them, 1140 12th Ave. Old City Hall. Officer responded, Cassandra Carey Hotchkiss, 40, cited and released for third degree theft and fourth degree assault.
September 2
4:22 a.m. – Caller reports bike parked in the middle of the road, 1200 Block 47th Ave. Bicycle seized as found property.
4:26 a.m. – Caller reports pressure washer in the ditch, 4120 Long St. Officer responded, unknown who owns item, seized as found property.
1:54 p.m. – Deputy contacted family camped at first bridge, in 44700 block Quartzville Road, on Foster Lake. Deputy explained to them that there was no camping on Foster other than at Sunnyside Park. They advised they had spoken previous day to Oregon State Police, and had been told it was fine. They were told where they could camp, further up Quartzville. They agreed to pack up and move to BLM property.
3:45 p.m. – Deputy driving by in 35000 block Hwy. 20 noticed motor home parked in pullout for Santiam 200 line, on Cascade Timber Consulting property. Motor home had slide-outs out, as if intending to spend the night. Deputy contacted male in the RV, who said he did intend to spend the night. He was told it was private timber property, and agreed to move along. While they were talking, a second RV pulled in, but it was a temporary stop, and it moved along.
10:02 p.m. – Hit and run reported in 1000 block Northside Dr. Deputy located driver of hit-and-run vehicle, Jason Dodge, 26, of Sweet Home, who, according to the Sheriff’s Office, was on his cell phone while operating a “truck” with steering issues when he hit several mailboxes. Dodge was not cited pending further investigation, according to Sheriff’s Office.
11:46 p.m. – Caller reported being pulled over by a newer tan crew cab Dodge Ram pickup, with a matching canopy, in 29700 block Santiam Hwy., near Santiam Terrace. Caller said vehicle had a red and blue strobe light in the windshield and nothing further. Person in the vehicle was not believed to be law enforcement officer. Suspect got to the rear of caller’s vehicle before caller asked to see a badge or ID, as suspect’s vehicle did not appear to be a law enforcement vehicle. Suspect turned around, got in their vehicle and left. No plates on suspect vehicle. Report taken.
