6:53 a.m. – Amanda June Herbert, 27, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on two original charges of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Ninth and Grape. Caller had reported that a female had just attempted to steal her son’s bike.
7:48 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle high-centered on concrete, 600 block of Main. No apparent damage to vehicle or curb. Dogs inside vehicle accidentally put the vehicle into neutral, and it rolled.
8:53 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of fuel from a 500-gallon tank. Locks were cut. Report taken.
11:44 p.m. – Caller reported that a male from Afghanistan contacted her through an online dating site and requested she open a savings account for him to use to deposit money. The account is getting deposits from several people’s personal accounts. Information noted.
11:46 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole tags from his vehicle, 4500 block of Manzanita. One plate had been stolen. Officer seized the other plate and entered into the Law Enforcement Database that the plate is stolen.

Male advised of complaint, and he plans to move the vehicle into the driveway in the near future.

12:08 p.m. – Caller reported berry vines growing into caller’s fence, 800 block of Alder. Officer contacted resident and advised of the complaint and ordinance. Resident will work on the issue.
4:58 p.m. – Caller reported that a male attempted to steal a bicycle from her, 1200 block of 23rd. Male was headed toward Taco Time. Information noted.
6:31 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle and punched the ignition, 1300 block of Sunset. Report taken.

The charges were in connection to stolen checks that had been reported used at local businesses, including Hoy’s Hardware and Safeway.
