Dean LeClerc, 83, of Sweet Home died Jan. 22, 2015.
He was born Dec. 15, 1931 in Reliance, S.D., the son of Harry and Selma (Erickson) LeClerc.
The family moved to Junction City, Oregon, in the 1940s. Mr. LeClerc married Betty Jane Gunson of Junction City in 1952. He served in the Army in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He received a Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, a National Defense Service Medal, and a United Nations Service Medal.
Mr. LeClerc worked as a logger, cowboy, trapper and jitney driver. Prior to retirement, he worked for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife from 1978 to 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Betty LeClerc of Lebanon; sons Thomas LeClerc of Valley Ford, Wash., Robert LeClerc of Mojave, Calif., David LeClerc of Portland, and Jeff LeClerc of Independence; daughter Julie Olson of Battle Ground, Wash.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Twyla Keen of Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard LeClerc.
