Raffle to help fund Pastega House

Picture yourself cruising down the highway in a new burgundy 2010 Chevy Camaro.

This dream could come true if you enter the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation’s raffle to benefit the Mario Pastega House endowment.

Raffle tickets may be purchased for $50 each from the Mario Pastega House, 3505 NW Samaritan Drive; the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation office on the first floor at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, 3600 NW Samaritan Drive; or the Samaritan Regional Cancer Center, 501 NW Elks Drive. A maximum of 1,500 tickets will be sold.

The Mario Pastega House, on the Good Sam hospital campus, is a comfortable “home away from home” for out-of-area patients and families traveling to Corvallis for specialized medical care.

The house is staffed seven days a week and features 12 guest rooms, as well as a chapel, children’s playroom, central kitchen, dining area, living/recreation areas, on-site laundry facilities, outdoor patio and gardens. Three RV parking spaces with full hookups are also available. The suggested nightly fee for a room or RV hookup is $20, but no one is turned away for lack of funds.

The 2010 Camaro was donated for the raffle by Mario Pastega, the hospitality house’s namesake and major benefactor. Pastega will draw the winning ticket at 1 p.m. on Feb. 14 at the Mario Pastega House.
