Ramona Jean Reynolds, 81, of Sweet Home, passed away Feb. 8, 2023.
She was born May 17, 1941, in Lebanon to George Wesley and Edith Ramona (Philpott) Heeter. Othe than a brief time after marriage, Jean lived her entire life in the Holley area.
Jean was a bookkeeper, which she did for her husband’s logging company, R & W Logging, for many years.
After her husband passed in 1987, she took over running their business along with her son, Blair Reynolds. Later she owned a trucking company, dispatching trucks and managing the books.
Jean attended the Holley Church from the time she was born and continued to be an active member until her passing.
Much of her time over the years was spent at church in the nursery, acting as treasurer and much more. She loved her church and the friends she made there.
She was a talented artist and for many years attended oil painting classes where she created countless beautiful pieces of art. In her later years, she transitioned to water colors, attending class with her granddaughter, Holly LaCoste, which she enjoyed immensely.
Jean is survived by her son, Blair Reynolds, and daughter-in-law Lori of Sweet Home; daughter, Dawn Harper, and son-in-law Dale of Hillsboro; stepsons Mark Teschner and step-daughter-in-law Cheryl of Lebanon, Erick Teschner of Joint Base Lewis McCord, Wash.; sisters Judy Heeter of Sweet Home, and Linda Gilkison (Lynn Gilkison) of Albany; grandchildren Kyle Reynolds, Nick Easterly and Holly LaCoste, all of Lebanon, and Sarah Sawyer of Sweet Home, Casey Reynolds of Albany, Zachary Luongo of San Diego, Calif., and Jake Harper of Newberg; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Reynolds, in 1987, and granddaughter, Katie Reynolds, in 2003.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
