Ramona Marie Mathews, 92, of Sweet Home passed away April 21, 2022.
She was born June 6, 1929 in Anchorage, Alaska, to Milton and Marion (Ingersol) Cole.
She graduated from San Fernando High School in California in 1946. She lived in Paradise, Calif., from 1959 to 1983, when she moved to Cascadia. She moved to Wiley Creek Community in 2014.
Ramona was a member of the Cascadia Bible Church.
She was a seamstress mostly all of her life. She loved quilting and making crafty items.
Ramona is survived by her son and his wife, Roger and Marika Wood Mathews of Chico, Calif.; daughter Virginia and her husband Robert Campbell of Tomales, Calif.; granddaughter Sara Mathews of Sacramento, Calif.; sister Jetty Morton of Suquamish, Wash.; and brother Rusty Cole of Prince Edward Island, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Mathews, on Jan. 3, 1976; son Thomas Mathews on April 27, 2014; her parents; and brother Lyle Cole.
She will be laid to rest in Paradise Cemetery.
