After receiving a copy of the Dec. 1 edition of The New Era, I was highly impressed with the winter sports preview enclosed within.
Everything was terrific – Outstanding copy, big team pictures, equal coverage of wrestling, boys and girls basketball and boys and girls swimming.
I believe this balanced coverage by Publisher Scott Swanson and writer Sean C. Morgan was just great.
As a former sports editor, I believe this Winter Sports Preview could hold its own in any level of prep classification.
All Husky athletes and coaches should be proud of this Winter Sports Preview by The New Era staff.
I’m 81 now, with neuropathy in my legs, and walk with a cane; so my dear wife, Ruth, does all our driving.
I’d like to say that working as sports and church page editor at The New Era for several years (first for now deceased Dave and Sonia Cooper and later for Alex and Debra Paul) were some of the greatest experiences of my journalism career.
