Only in Sweet Home can such paper-thin reasoning as “It was time for a change” suffice as an official statement from a City Council.
Craig Martin’s forced retirement was done behind closed doors and without witness because I believe it was shameful, unfounded and unreasonable by all accounts.
If those responsible have any honor, then they should step forward into the light and state why this was necessary.
I can’t wait to write the “I told you so” letter next year after the city spends thousands of dollars hiring an out-of-state person who flounders to understand their new job and our city.
Craig Martin should run for city council. We need people who believe in the city and not their own glory.
