Mardelle Hufford was named the American Legion Auxiliary Oregon volunteer of the week.
Hufford serves with Timber City Unit 133. A member for 56 years, she has been involved in Girls State, children and youth, making poppy corsages and community service fund-raising efforts. She has been president, vice president, chaplain and department chaplain. She has done decorations for special occasions and cooked special meals for visiting veterans and events.
