The Sweet Home Parade Committee is inviting Sweet Home residents and groups to participate in the 2013 Grand Christmas Parade on Dec. 7.
The theme is “Christmas on the Red Carpet,” and all entries should be decorated in line with that. The committee encourages the use of music to help create a festive Christmas mood, and all entries should plan for a fun parade with bright colors and excitement.
The entries should be based on a popular or award-winning Christmas song or movie, although only one Santa Claus is permitted in the parade to prevent confusion among children. He will appear on his own float.
Dignitaries should notify the Chamber of Commerce office at (541) 367-6186 or the committee at (541) 367-4639 as soon as possible so placards can be made and arrangements can be made for vehicles.
