Richard Bogart

Richard Allen Bogart, 56, of Sweet Home, died June 19, 2006.

He was born July 25, 1949 in Redding, Calif., to David A. and Barbara (Watson) Bogart.

He went to Gladstone High School. He married Roberta Kuhn in 1970; they later divorced.

Mr. Bogart was a carpenter by trade. He has lived in Eugene and its outlying areas, Bend, Anchorage, and Sweet Home. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors, especially the high desert. He was especially fond of dogs. His family and friends will remember him as a man of few words and of a kind heart.

He is survived by his children, Matthew Bogart of Orange, Calif., and Amber Renfro of Veneta; his mother, Barbara Hale of San Dimas, Calif.; his sisters, Barbara Dillon of Alta Loma, Calif. and Sharon Waltrip of Oak Harbor, Wash.; his brothers, Kevin Bogart of Alta Loma, Calif., and Keith Bogart of Klamath, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Bogart, and an infant son, Preston Jesse Bogart.

A private family memorial was held on June 23 in Bend. Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
