Richard A. Bowler, 80, of Reedsport died May 26, 2009.
He was born Sept. 24, 1928 in Oakland, Calif., to Harold and Betty (Patton) Bowler.
He married LaRane G. Burningham in Reno in 1949. They lived in the Bay Area for a time before coming to Sweet Home in the late 1960s. They moved to Reedsport in the late 1980s to retire.
Mr. Bowler is survived by his children; Carol Elizabeth Bell, Richard Bowler Jr. and Norman Arthur Bowler, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaRane, son John William Bowler and one brother.
A gathering was held May 30 at Waterloo County Park.
