Richard Lynn Jenkins, 70 of Lebanon died Friday, Aug. 26, at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 6, 1941 in Union Star, Mo., the son of Robert and Hazel (Clay) Jenkins. He moved to Bay City as a young child.
The family then moved to Sweet Home where he attended local schools. He graduated from Sweet Home Union High School in 1959. He then served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
After his discharge, Mr. Jenkins served for two years with the Corvallis Police Dept. during the mid 1960’s. He worked as an apartment manager for over 25 years.
Mr. Jenkins enjoyed hunting, fishing and going dancing. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge in both Lebanon and Sweet Home.
He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Jenkins Bennett and Danielle Davis, both of Lebanon; brother Keith Jenkins of LaGrande; sisters Shirley Pace of Lenoir City, Tenn. and Debbie Robertson of Antlers, Okla.; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later time.
