Rick Vance Lennon, 66, of Cascadia died at his home on Monday March 23, 2009.
He was born March 21, 1943 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Leo and Donna (Bloomquist) Lennon. He moved to Southern California as an infant, and attended school there. He graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1961.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Vietnam Era.
He was married to Sandra Schultz in Campbell, Calif., on May 24, 1966.
Mr. Lennon moved to Cascadia in 1974 and resided there for the past 35 years. He worked for CenturyTel Phone Company in Sweet Home and Lebanon for several years.
He enjoyed target shooting and was a member of the N.R.A. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Sweet Home and attended the Cascadia Bible Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed growing bamboo.
Mr. Lennon is survived by his wife, Sandra of Cascadia; two brothers; sister-in-law Dianne Day of Harrisburg; one niece and one nephew.
A memorial gathering was held March 27 at the Cascadia Bible Church.
