Ricky Dean Hurse, 53, of Sweet Home died Nov. 17, 2007.
He was born Aug. 9. 1954 in Lebanon to Rueben and Edith Louise (Sprague) Hurse.
He grew up in the Liberty area of Sweet Home and was part Cherokee but was un-enrolled. He worked as a body and fender expert for 20 years. Due to developing asthma he had to retire from this work at age 40. In recent years he worked for Oregon Gold.
Mr. Hurse enjoyed auto mechanics, rock hunting, hunting and fishing. He loved the woods, mountains and rivers. Picking mushrooms was a much enjoyed recreation.
He is survived by his mate, Carol Robertson of Sweet Home; cousins, Michael Hurse of Naselle, Wash., Joe and Lori Hurse of Longview, Wash., Steve Hurse of Naselle, Wash., Toni Hambettor of Baker City; Helen Alexander of Long Beach, Wash., and Jerry Shipman of North Plain.
Mr. Hurse was preceded in death by both of his parents; and brothers, Bobby Hurse and Kenneth C. Hurse.
