Robert Clyde White

Robert White

Oct. 6 1939 – April 16, 2025

Robert Clyde White, 85, passed away April 16, 2025, with his wife Nancy at his side.

Bob was a man of many talents who could fix just about anything.

He loved working with his hands and being busy. He had many careers, from working on a derrick barge in Southern California to managing a wood products warehouse in Sweet Home.

He restored a model A from the frame up, built an awesome street rod, and made the most beautiful picture frames you will ever see.

Bob and Nancy spent the last 20 years traveling and jeeping. He excelled at trail riding and rock crawling. His joking trail name was “Turn around Bob.”

During his travels he made friends from Canada to Mexico and all points in between. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or to tell a story.

Bob lost a daughter, Julie; a son, Robbie; a granddaughter, Shannon; and three great- grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter Ronda (Brad); and stepsons Randy Simmons (Sherry), Craig Simmons (Joelle), Mark Sjmmons (Kim), and Steve White (Kara). He also leaves 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of Bob’s family and friends will be held later this summer.
