Robert L. Cook, 59. died Sept. 15, 2007 in Salem.
He was born Feb. 4, 1948 in Florence to A.C. and Nadine (Johnson) Cook. He grew up in Oregon and Washington and moved to Sweet Home from Keizer four years ago. He and his wife, Bette, were married Aug. 30, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nev. He retired seven years ago as a quality engineer from the aerospace industry and became very involved in breeding and raising Alaskan Klee Kai’s (miniature huskies). He also enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Bette; his children, Tammy Cook of Sweet Home, Tonya Cassell of Tigard and Michael Long of Landers, Calif.; brothers, Eric Hathaway of Sweet Home and Al Anderson of Auburn, Wash.; sisters, Alice Williams of Chickasha, Okla., Jenny McGrath of Winnemucca, Nev. and Nancy Merrick of Hood River; and mother, Evelyn Hathaway of Sweet Home.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
