Robert Dennison

Feb. 28, 1926 – July 6, 2007

Robert Dennison, 81, of Lebanon died July 6, 2007 of lung cancer.

He was born Feb. 28, 1926 to Harry and Agnes Dennison in Waterloo. He attended schools in Scio and after graduation served in the Navy during World War II. Following the war he attended college at Oregon State in Corvallis, graduating with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering.

Mr. Dennison married June King of Holley in 1947. They had three sons, all born in Lebanon.

His entire working career was spent with Chevron Corp. He retired as vice president and general manager of Chevron Chemical Co. in 1990.

Following retirement, he and June moved to Grass Valley, Calif., then to Sequim, Wash., and eventually back to Lebanon.

He is survived by his wife, June, of Lebanon; son Mike of Salt Lake City, Utah; son Brad of Sitka, Alaska; son Randall of Lebanon; sister Florence of Grass Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl.

A funeral service was held July 10 at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
