Robert L. “Vern” Edney, 86, of Lebanon, died July 15 in Sweet Home.
He was born Aug. 27, 1922 in Oklahoma, the son of Phillip and Verba (Williams) Edney, and moved to Oregon in 1936. He graduated from Sweet Home Union High School in 1941 and married Sheila Rhoades in 1942.
They resided in Bend and Madras before settling in Lebanon in 1964.
