Robert Sylvester Ellis, 66, of Sweet Home died Aug. 20, 2008. He was born in Torrance, Calif. to Sylvester and Sarah (Huffstutler) Ellis.
He was a resident of the Lebanon/Sweet Home area since 1972. He was liked and loved by everyone.
Mr. Ellis loved CB radio. His handles were “Bob,” “Moose,” and “Curley.” He loved to fish at Foster and watch NASCAR every Saturday and Sunday, his motorcycle, his wife, children and grandkids.
Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife, Alice; mother Sarah Ellis; sons Harold Ellis, Willis Huffstutler and Bill Huffstutler; daughters Bobbie Jackson and Sarah Branson; brothers Michael Ellis and Carl Ellis; sisters Jewel King, Sylvia Highsmith and Shelia Clem; and numerous other children adopted by him, including Poodles, Mindy and Maynard; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister Sara Doane; brother John Ellis “Jay” and one great-grandson.
A graveside service was held Aug. 26 at Lewis Cemetery.
