Robert “Bob” Leon Grissom, 78, of Sweet Home died Nov. 19, 2021.
He was born Dec. 31, 1942 in Tucson, Ariz., to Fred and Violet (Lang) Grissom.
He came to Oregon with his family as a child and grew up in Sweet Home. He served in the United States Marines as a corporal from Aug. 2, 1961 to July 31, 1964.
Mr. Grissom owned and operated Sweet Home City Cleaners. He worked at Sweet Home Stove Works and also owned and operated Bob’s Auto Body and Paint. He retired, after 12 years, from Pacific Cast Tech.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and several car clubs. He loved working to restore old cars.
Mr. Grissom is survived by his wife; a son; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters, all living in Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his daughter; brother; mother; father; and both sets of grandparents.
Graveside service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Gilliland Cemetery.
