Robert Miner, 59, of Sweet Home, died May 10, 2014.
He was born April 22, 1955 in Sweet Home to James Monroe Sr. and Dorothy A. (Dickinson) Miner. He was raised in Sweet Home and has lived here his entire life. He married Maureen in 1999.
Mr. Miner worked at WVRC and Sunshine Industries. He was a volunteer at high school. Robert was a member and very active at Sweet Home Evangelical Church and was a member of the Evangelical men’s group.
When he was younger he worked with the Special Olympics. He set up the football field for JV and varsity football. He volunteered at High School and Church. He loved reading his Bible.
Mr. Miner is survived by his wife Maureen; brothers David, Dan, Dale, Mike, Lloyd, Ron, Ted, Tony and Bill; sisters Ethel Gray and Sharon Miner; sister-in-laws Janis Crotts and Jeanine Walker; brother-in-laws Pat Madden and Mike Madden; and special friend Opal.
He was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Baugus in 2013; and brothers Jim Jr. in 1999 and Joe in 2013.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made at the Funeral Home in Mr. Miner’s name to help with medical and funeral costs.
