Robert Henry Pinster, 74, died Nov. 16, 2016 of cardiac arrest at his home in Cascadia.
He was born Sept. 26, 1942 in Lebanon to William and Irma Pinster, one of three children.
Mr. Pinster graduated from Sweet Home High School. He started working for TOMCO mill right out of high school.
He lived in Cascadia for most of his life, though he traveled for his work as a millwright. He returned to Cascadia in 1991 and remained there for the remainder of his life.
He married Joyce Pinster in 1970 in Reno, Nev. They enjoyed going on long trips or simply driving on back roads, looking at scenery. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, particularly on the Santiam River.
Mr. Pinster is survived by his wife Joyce; two children, Cynthia and Keith; three grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a niece; and a grandniece.
A celebration of life will be held next year at Cascadia Park.
