Robert “Bob” Williams died Feb. 22, 2008 of a heart attack at his home in Sweet Home. He had been battling lung cancer for more than a year.
He was born Aug. 31, 1917 in Salem, the middle child among seven siblings.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Williams enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, camping and his dog Sassy.
He and his wife Pat were married in 1988 and traveled throughout the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; a sister, Vivien of California; a brother, Albert of Salem; two sons, Dennis and Robert Jr.; a daughter, Kathy; stepdaughter Jan Cole and her husband, Stephen and a granddaughter, of California; stepdaughter Debra Walker of Tennessee,; sister-in-law Jan Hughes of Redmond; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Neptune Cremation Service of Portland is handling arrangements.
