Rochelle Zamacona, 29, a longtime Sweet Home resident, died March 27, 2022 in Salem after being struck by a car.
She was born May 19, 1992, in Oceanside, Calif., the daughter of Sonia Zamacona and Eduardo Zamacona.
She was a 2010 graduate of Sweet Home High School. During her high school years she was active in soccer, basketball, softball and was a member of the equestrian team.
Following high school, she worked as a waitress in Anchorage, Alaska, and at Alice’s Restaurant in Tillamook.
She is survived by her mother, Sonia Zamacona; her father, Eduardo Zamacona; a brother; and aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Cecile Laviolette.
A memorial service was held April 3 at First Baptist Church in Brownsville.
