He was born Oct. 11, 1953 in Sweet Home to Hubert and Virla (Fagan) Shipp.
Mr. Shipp lived in Sweet Home for most of his life before moving to Madras in 1997, where he joined the Catholic Church. In 1999 he moved to Alaska, returning to Sweet Home in 2007.
