Roger F. Cleland, 69, of Sweet Home, died Feb. 3, 2013 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 19, 1943 in Compton, Calif. to Clifford and Annetta (Ubben) Cleland.
He served in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Cleland loved to go camping and ATV riding with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing for family and his many friends, who especially loved his rendition of “The Road Goes on Forever.”
He was happy baking bread for those he loved and spending time in his backyard, growing and preserving vegetables that he also loved to share with them. He will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know and love him.
Mr. Cleland is survived by his wife Mimi; mother-in-law Anita Launder; sons Robert and Cody Leininger; daughter Sheri Brister; daughters-in-law Julie and Jennifer Leininger; brother John Cleland; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
