Roland G. Poirier, 69, of Sweet Home died Monday, March 24, 2014.
He was born in Wilibunch, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Maurice and Lorain (Forcier) Poirier on Feb. 15, 1945.
He lived in Canada, New Hampshire, Sweet Home and Florida. In 2001, he returned to live in Sweet Home.
Roland married Rebecca Gunseth in Sweet Home in 2003.
He enjoyed selling food at the fairgrounds and camping. He was a handyman and could fix just about anything, and he loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Poirier is survived by his wife, Rebecca Poirier; children, Robert and wife, Donna Poirier, and Richard Poirier, all of Sweet Home, and Roxanne Poirier of Florida; stepson Cody Gunseth of Sweet Home; stepdaughters, Shawna Gunseth of Sweet Home and Jamie Gunseth of New Hampshire; sisters, Paulette Poirier of Canada, Lucille Noah of Sweet Home, Carmen Van Blarcom and Jean Duval both of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Keitha Poirier, in 2000.
No services are planned at this time.
