Rosaire Trahan, 77, of Sweet Home died Dec. 16, 2011 at his home.
He was born Nov. 2, 1934 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the son of Alford and Irene (Lucier) Trahan.
He played hockey as a youth and remained a fan his whole life. He was also a big Oregon Duck fan. He enjoyed the ocean. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He’ll be remembered as being very humorous always making people laugh. He was loving and forgiving, never making judgement.
Mr. Trahan is survived by his wife, Shirley; 14 children – Cindy Brown of Texas, Billy Trahan of Tracy, Calif., David Trahan of Visalia, Calif., Jeannie Trahan of Tracy, Calif., Michael Trahan of Three Rivers, Calif., Dana Hitchcock of Rocklin, Calif., Steven Shores of Gilroy, Calif., Deanna Camerena of Sweet Home, Joey Shores of Oregon City, Katee Belcher of Portland, Ricky Bender of Sweet Home, Dawn Bender of Sweet Home and Nicole Trahan of England; one brother; three sisters; 53 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Florence Trahan; son Sonny Trahan; and six brothers and sisters.
Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20 and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is planned at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
